Jessica (in our Facebook crew) needs our book help! Oooooooh I think I already know which one she’s looking for and it ROCKED OUR VERY DARK BOOK WORLDS right around that exact time!!!
There was a time when I read a BUNCH in this trope ’cause I was shocked and appalled and absolutely couldn’t put this kind of crazy story down. So it could be at least 3 or 4 of the books I’ve read but I’m pretty sure it’s…
She asks:
I am looking for a book.
It’s dark romance (before it got popular) I wanna say it came out 2011-2013, around the time Colleen and Taryn were coming out.
It’s been a long time since I’ve read it so I do not remember much but I feel like if I saw the title or author it would trigger something.
The FMC get sold into trafficking I believe, she ends up falling for her captor. I think I remember he somehow sets her free and then the end of the book or possibly second book is about them coming together again?
I know not a lot of details, but hoping you can help
Anyone have a guess?
Maryse: Is it Captive in the Dark by C.J.Roberts?? IT IS, isn’t it??? GAHHHHHH!!! This book wasn’t just a dark read, it was pitch black dark and made our jaws drop. There are quite a few that rocked out worlds like that. STUNNED US.
In fact, I have 31 pages of dark read posts (series, review and everything in between) right here on my blog that I highlighted. If this is your jam (all the time or every once in awhile) I have what you need right here —> DARK ROMANCE READS (and I mean DARK and they probably shouldn’t even be considered romance. Eeeeeeep!!)
Shawna: Is it Irreparable Damage and Irreparable Lives by Sam Mariano?
Shaunygirl: I haven’t read it in years, but the first thing I thought of was “Killing Sarai” by J.A. Redmerski
