Lara Adrian – The Midnight Breed Series Reading Order:

in Reading Order Guide:

Quick note: I LOVE this series. If you’re looking for something similar to the Black Dagger Brotherhood, this is it! ;)

About the series:

Prepare for seduction as Lara Adrian unleashes a dark new breed of vampire . . .

Part human, part otherworldly, the Breed has lived among humankind for thousands of years, maintaining a tentative peace built on secrecy, power, and the dark justice carried out by the formidable warriors of the Order.

But now, a blood war within the race is set to ignite. Vampires are going Rogue in startling numbers, feeding without discretion, killing humans in the streets. It is up to the Order to stop the spreading threat of Rogue domination–and in so doing, each of the warriors will be forced to confront private demons, darkest secrets, deepest fears. Some will know triumph, some will know loss, but each warrior can count on one thing: Love, when it finds him, will often come at the worst possible moment, with the least likely woman . . . and it will bring each of these powerful males to his knees.

Read BDB and Z is MOST definitely my fave, BY FAR!!!! In Lara Adrian’s series… Dante and Tess are my fave in Kiss of Crimson… very well written…. can’t wait to read about Hunter… I’m guess my fave might change to him and his love interest….

Maryse June 5, 2011 at 10:02 AM

Z hands down, is my favorite too. And for Lara Adrian, I loved Tegan’s book.

Samantha June 12, 2011 at 7:59 PM

I can’t wait to read Chase’s book, but Midnight Awakening (Tegan’s novel) was my absolute fave. I love all of them, but Tegan’s story stood out to me the most!

Maryse June 12, 2011 at 8:35 PM

Agreed! Tegan rocked in all his broodiness!!

Angie July 7, 2011 at 12:58 AM

Lara’s Midnight Breed Series is a very thrilling and amazing journey. Once you start reading the first book you will definitely own the whole series!

Debbie February 13, 2012 at 11:04 AM

I literally JUST finished Darker After Midnight like 5 minutes ago and I couldn’t wait to get on here and tell you all about it…. This has to be her best one by far. I fell in love with the Midnight Breed a long time ago… but these books Lara keeps spitting out just make you love them even more. Lara’s writting makes you want to call Boston your home (or Maine)… makes you want to somehow become a breedmate… in fact I’m still searching my bod for that elusive birthmark!!!! It must be well hidden… I’ll find it yet!!! I loved the battle Chase had going on within himself, but the way he found strength to care for and love Tavia… whadda man!!! Whadda a mighty good man!!!! There is also nothing hotter than an independant woman and that’s just what Tavia is… independant, but not complete, that is until Sterling Chase… I have to tell you, if I wasn’t already married to my true mate… I’d be on the hunt for these delicious Breed Males… ooooo…. they certainly have swooned me!!!!

Maryse March 10, 2012 at 4:18 PM

I definitely want to read Chase’s book. He’s been my favorite throughout the series, (next to Tegan) but I’m so glad to hear it was that good.

Sandy. Just you WAIT until you read the BDB guys. You’ll freak out! Let me know who your favorite brother is.

Just discovered a new awsome series kind of mix of BDB and humor of Larissa Ione -must read : Teresa Gabelman ( The Protectors) . Enjoy:)

Colleen December 2, 2013 at 7:23 PM

I was just wondering do you have to read the series in order cause I dont have them all and I really like this series

Melanie January 2, 2014 at 1:37 PM

I am about to start The Midnight Breed series. Should I start with the short story A Touch of Midnight or Kiss of Midnight? The prequel came out later so I dont know if I’ll enjoy it as much if I read it first.

Beth January 2, 2014 at 6:01 PM

You don’t necessarily have to read A Touch of Midnight first. Start with Kiss of Midnight. And yes , they should be read in order or yo u may be lost to the other relationships I. The series.

Michael February 5, 2014 at 8:35 AM

I can’t believe I’m actually reading my wife’s books…and enjoying them.
And just for the record…Mary Madonna Luce is the best character in BDB. Puts up with Rhage, deals with cancer, and is pretty much the person who tamed Z. Clearly the strongest out of the whole bunch.
Simi from Dark Hunter is still my favorite of all the series I have read. She can BBQ sauce me anytime.

Maryse February 5, 2014 at 8:58 AM

LOL Michael!! So glad you’re loving them, too. Z is my favorite and I agree with you in her taming abilities. ;)

wendy April 17, 2014 at 5:38 AM

Kat Nelson August 1, 2014 at 3:18 PM

Gail August 28, 2014 at 10:38 PM

I just bought an eBook of a Midnight Breed novella called “Marked by Midnight”. Not sure where it goes in the timeline. It is about Mathias and a breedmate named Nova.

Love your reading order lists and recommendations.

Melanie August 29, 2014 at 9:11 AM

Hey Gail. I just read Marked by midnight. It goes between Edge of Dawn and Crave the Night. I actually read it after Crave the Night and it didnt make any difference. No spoilers or anything.

Gloria Gregory September 11, 2014 at 10:24 AM

I bought A Taste Of Midnight on Amazon where I got the complete series. Although I did have to go the free kindle app. for Taste It’s only 2.99 on kindle. Went the same way for Tempted but can get it in paperback as well. It’s titled 1001 dark nights but it has Tempted in it. it goes to kindle app on your computer on release day oct.14th.

Swetha July 17, 2015 at 10:32 AM
