I’ve been watching Yellowstone (hello sexy cowboys and dark and twisty shoe) and that got me thinking, I’ve never read a good “cowboy/wrangler” book.
I checked your site to see that as part of your “pick the mood” section and I noticed you didn’t.

I’d just like some help about a prequel I’ve read a long time ago. And I’m trying to find out it’s title and the book after it.
As I remember the prequel vaguely, It’s about a girl, fostered by a grandmother who was well off. It was the first time that the person who fostered her, cared about her. She’s really good at singing and that’s her dream. I think her name starts with an E. The guy was the grandson of the grandmother who fostered her already on the way to becoming a famous singer,
When I started the “genre categories” section on the blog, I received requests for a “cowboys” section, so I’m on it (along with a few “reader requests” for cowboy book recommendations) Leslie (and crew) asked:
Leslie: We have a cowboy themed challenge for November and would love to hear people’s faves (and maybe even variations like country music star H, etc). Think you could ask around?
Ela: Also, to add to Leslie’s comment….some of us would prefer a book about riding a cowboy….preferably US…. Just sayin’ for a friend.
Another superb book find that kept me reading non-stop until I was done. I want to say “WOW!” but this book deserves more then just a wow, for me. And anyway, “wow” is almost a little too loud for this serene yet agitating read. Deep, but in a “hopeless romantic” kind of way. Beautifully written and gentle in it’s approach. Angst-y, yes, but bathed in a delicate, reassuring tone.
It’s subdued, building slowly until your heart just can’t take it anymore, until finally you say ENOUGH please… it hurts. A little give, a lot of take, when it comes to the readers emotions, but, isn’t that what us book-angst-addicts are all about? Moments of sweet relief only to be “caught up” again in the heroine’s head. Seeing things from our perspective, and yet feeling things from hers.
