Following my heart, one book at a time...
Michelle is looking for this one! I could swear I’ve read this exact scene, so I know I’ve read this one… but I can’t pinpoint what book it was. But it was at least 3 to 5 years ago? P.S. BEWARE of the huge spoiler alert!!
She asks:
Hi Maryse
I’m looking for the book about a girl who’s boyfriend was a singer in a band involved in a mass shooting at the club where he was performing.
His brother saves the girl from being shot, but her face gets scarred from glass on the floor.
About book #1
I was naïve to think my marriage to Luka Catano might work.
I was infatuated with him from afar… Until I met him. He loved the challenge of his next conquest, anyone would do… Except me. A wife was never something he wanted.
Torturous was not a strong enough word to describe how I felt when I was in a room with Luka. Besides hating nearly every word that came out of his mouth, I also drowned with lust every time I looked at him.
This is Kimba’s story and while we met her in the “All The Kings Men Duet“, this one CAN be read as a standalone. 😀 P.S. Kennedy and her publisher (The Blue Box Press) are today’s newsletter sponsors, and we’re celebrating with a giveaway!
Lisa: The All the Kings Men Duet has become one of my favorite reads this year. This story line had it all! When an author can combine social justice issues with a riveting slow burn romance?? Yes please and more!!
IN THE MOOD FOR SLOW BURN ROMANCE BOOKS? I HAVE A LIST FOR THAT! In fact… quite a few. 😉
One of our most requested recommendations. So many of us love to work for our romance… including me. I mean… ooops! In books!! Only and always in books. LOL!!
Here’s our entire “SLOW BURN” category (<— including slow burn favorites lists, recommended slow burn series, my reviews for slow burn books, reader questions involving slow burn books)… everything I tagged “Slow burn” on the blog, you’ll find here. 😀
Vicki needs our book help! I have a guess (but quite likely way off).
I wonder if it’s Madeline Sheehan’s “Unattainable“. The details in my mind are fuzzy (it’s been a few years since I’ve read it), but some of what Vicki describes brought this one to mind right away for me (namely the biker named “Dirty” <— so broken and I loved reading about him so much). P.S. Here’s my Book Review. 😉
She asks:
I have been trying to find a book for ages. I was hoping you and your readers could help me out.
