Lover At Last: A Novel of the Black Dagger Brotherhood
To say I was dying to finally get to Blay and Qhuinn’s story is an understatement. I have been feeling them for a few books now, and was thrilled they (and we) were finally going to explore their potential. Their magic. After all, I was crushing on the old “V and Butch” potential back in the day and am still in love with their soul-deep connection. I was a bit surprised at the turn they took, but, considering how much I loved V’s book, and the romantic intensity between him and his mate, I’m happy. Those two made me cry a few times, and anything that I feel that deeply will forever be cherished as a favorite.

S.J. Frost – Conquest Series Reading Order
Highly HIGHLY recommended by my friend Jackie (when we were ranking our favorite heroes), and also recommended by SO many others (Amber and Lis to name a few more friends). Adamant discussions erupt in excitement when these guys are brought into the mix (note: this is GAY – m/m – rock star romance).
While Jackie was reading book #1 she emailed me and I knew EXACTLY how she felt:
“… but I wanted to share this book with you. It’s called Conquest by S J Frost. Its Rockstar based so it will tick boxes for you . The thing is , I’m about 1/3 of the way through it and I really care. Really really care what happens to these two guys. (It’s m/m – forgot to mention that.) You know when you are reading a book and its all happy and content – at the start of the relationship – well I’m still there. But I know its all going to go bad real soon.”
J.P. Barnaby – The Forbidden Room Series
Shelley just sent me this recommendation and I am intrigued!!!
The Forbidden Room – JP Barnaby and the follow on book A House Of Cards have had me in a funk for two weeks now!
I just cant get these characters out of my head. The character dynamic is incredible. The writing is addictive and the sex is full body blush worthy.
Now I know that this genre is not for every one, but I do know that you read and reviewed Kele Moon’s Eden series and these books are reminiscent but OMG I just loved them. Yes it’s BDSM but more B&D than S&M (thank god).
Behind The Books – Interview With TJ Klune + $10 Gift Card Giveaway!!

UPDATE: Winner Announcement!! —> Congratulations to Angi, who won the $10 gift card and “an e-book or two” that will be provided by TJ!!
TJ Klune (author or Bear, Otter, and the Kid and Who We Are) is here with us today, and Jackie and I are thrilled! This is the author that opened up my reading experience to a whole new genre (and thanks again to Jackie for that insistent nudge). You were so right, Jackie!
I once hesitated on reading “gay romance” only because I wondered… how in the heck will I be able to relate? I can’t “crush” on the “hero” can I? ‘Cause… you know. He’s definitely not into girls, right? BUT OMG I totally did. Crushed big time, and I adored these characters like they were my own family, or even as if “Bear” was me. I felt every bit of the main character’s pain, insecurities and triumphs. And best yet, I felt the love, in every form it was presented. TJ Klune’s books made me realize… I love love, no matter what genre it comes in. The heart wants what the heart wants, and that is something I get.
Book Review – Who We Are by TJ Klune
Who We Are —> Quick Note: If you haven’t read book #1 yet, I suggest you skip this review. Slight spoilers at least in regards to the first book. Here is my review for book #1 (Book Review – Bear, Otter, and the Kid by TJ Klune)
My love affair with two gorgeous, beautiful, hilarious (and one slightly erratic) gay men continues. And no, I’m not the third in their love affair (this isn’t one of those books 😉 ). Nope. Because like I said in book review #1, I connect so well to “Bear” (the main character) that I feel as if I am him. And book #2 has not changed a thing in this aspect. Plus there is just nothing better (apart form the intense, amazing intimacy between these two) than going on one of Bear’s internal musings of randomness.
