OMG — I found this buried on Amazon with not many reviews and they were mixed. It’s “The Night That Wasn’t Mine” by Constantino Fernandes.

It’s a supremely binge worthy tale of incredibly complex and horrific emotional manipulation and how the amazing mfc handles the aftermath. I’m not giving the ending away, but it is twisty and happy and satisfying. read more

BLAST FROM MY BOOK PAST!! This book put me through the romance-angst ringer. I mean… it had everything we love to hate and was a definite Kindle-thrower for sure (so if you choose to read this, tie that sucker to your wrist). Just sayin’.

I didn’t LOVE the book but pretty much because it made me so mad, but I’ll never forget it (especially one particular scene). And Chelsea brought it right back up front and center when I found her old email recommendation and I thought… OMG YES!! I remember that book, and I pulled up my review and I think, you know what? If you’re in the mood for a cheating a$$hole love story, then this might still be one for you. read more

Nichole needs our book help! Infidelity & I suspect this is a big hero grovel book!!

She asks:

Hey,

I’ve been following the blog for years and thought this would be the place to help for finding the title of a book I want to reread, but can’t remember the title.

The FMC is a nurse who discovers her husband’s infidelity as she also discovers she has cancer (but doesn’t share the diagnosis with the husband).

She instead puts a plan into action where she blackmails her husband to start working from home for a a period of time and block all communication with the younger mistress he works with.  She says it’s just until their son goes to college. read more

MRC Johnson – Be Careful Series Reading Order

BETRAYAL & REDEMPTION FANS!!! Margie found us another series and absolutely LOVED book #2 and is continuing the series as we speak. Now… I’m not a HUGE fan of the book covers, but you know what they say. Never judge a book by its cover, and with a recommendation like this one, who can I resist?

ROMANTIC BETRAYAL ALERT!! Oh I am LOVING getting these recommendations from Margie because these are EXACTLY my trope. I love my love stories difficult. I love to work for it. Just pure intensity.

I love (in BOOKS!! Always only in books!!) to feel the worst, the pain, the shock, the fury… and that slow burn and build up where I love to feel the growth, and discovery and the second chance (which I am often so jaded that it takes some serious work for me to reconnect to the betrayer) OR the brand new (and SO much better) start.
