Wait for You
Great new release that I barely put down. Reminiscent in feel of some of my favorite new adult books from when I first started reading indie. This one had just enough of everything (and in just the right amount of depth) to keep me connected and feeling what the heroine was feeling. Lots of pining… you know how it goes… 😉 (yeahhhhh I love to do that. It’s my favorite!!).

Onyx: A Lux Novel
An excellent follow up to a book that already had me *squeeing* with delight, back in January! I gave Obsidian (book #1) 5 stars, and Onyx gets that too!! It may be a YA series, but the energy, excitement and emotion are felt intensely no matter what your age.
Remember how amazingly addictive Vampire Academy was? (P.S. —> if you haven’t read it, you MUST!!) To me, I considered that YA for adults ;). This one is like that. Oh sure, the overall story isn’t remotely similar (there are no vampires in this series) but the feel of it is. They may be only 18 (or 17/18) but they’ve had to grow up quickly considering the dangers they face.
Obsidian (A Lux Novel Book 1)
Yep. Squee-worthy. You all already know I *squee’d* from the last post. 😉 This one will, for sure, (I already know this) make my best of 2012 list. It had everything (well… almost everything considering it’s YA) that I love in a book. YA or not, though, this one doesn’t hold back in the romantic tension (and a few super *steamy* moments). There was so much of everything else to keep me enthralled, that I didn’t “miss” what normally comes after all of that pent-up emotion. And the connections, the reluctant friendships, even the game-playing (and there is a lot of that)…. believable.

Amy: I LOVE hearing when others love the Covenant series! It’s one of my *rare* re-reads. Such an unexpected ending to the series, but I think that’s what I loved about it. 
OMG *squeeeeeeeeeeeee*. No. Really.
I just finished Obsidian, and I’m in mourning ’cause I’m already done. I kept checking, all stressed-out-like, seeing the pages ticking away, seeing that I was nearing the end. 65%… 70%… 75% & and then the dreaded 80%… Yep. It was inevitable. I was really and truly almost done.
Nooooooooo!!! I wasn’t ready for almost done!!
*sigh*
