Worth the Fall: The McKinney Brothers
I was soooo in the mood for a book like this. It was a total “new-to-me” surprise in a recent release list with a premise that had my heart, right from the start. I just knew this would be my next. And… it’s not because I read many “military” romance books (although I have no idea why, ’cause to me, these guys are the ultimate heroes while retaining their bad-ass alpha-ness). Perfect for me. I should read more of ’em!

Tessa Teevan – Explosive Series Reading Order
I’m hearing great stuff about this gorgeous looking series. A brand new book has just been released (3rd book in the series) but the good news? They can all be read as standalones! Bring on the hot military-men romance!
Jillian: Just finished Ignite by Tessa Teevan. So GREAT!!! Hot military guy and old high school flame? Perfect. Kind of our typical read, but yet it wasn’t. There’s not over-the-top angst or drama. But there is frustration, stubbornness, and heart wrenching parts as well. Wonderfully written, real to life love story. Sometimes a book like this is just beyond refreshing. I would HIGHLY recommend.
Book Review – Crazy Good by Rachel Robinson
Crazy Good
Okay I’m gonna totally cliché out by saying (’cause I just can’t help myself) 😉 “Crazy Good is CRAZY GOOOOOOOD!!!!” I know probably every good review of this book (and it’s brother) starts with that very sentence but… I just… couldn’t have said it any better myself.
WOW! This book has it ALL and with just enough detail for every phase of this story to have me connecting. Affecting every one of my senses. Now to be fair, it already seemed to have everything going for it from that start. I couldn’t help but move it to the top of my TBR list when:
Jen Frederick – Woodlands Series Reading Order
<— Ohhh lookit! Marine heroes! And one of ’em is a fighter. 😉 Book #3 was just released so I thought I’d put up the reading order. Plus, Steffi recommends book #1!
Steffi: I want to recommend “Unspoken” by Jen Frederick. Very good book… I read a lot of books about the fighter and bad boy kind lately and Unspoken it the one, which still refuses to leave my mind the most. The author has a way to make the scenes so alive in your head that it is not hard at all to imagine the story in every detail. Bo and Ann Marie are in my heart forever. 🙂
Reader Question: The book about the heroine, the ranch, and the ex-military hero that’s bein’ a pain…
Okay military-hero lovers, here’s one for you. Maybe you can help Debbie out!
Debbie asks:
“I’m currently going through 2,000 books on my Kindle because I am looking for a book in which the heroine shows up at a ranch to find her brother because her father has had a heart attack. The hero is ex-military and refuses to let her inside and also refuses to give her any information about her brother.”
Anyone have any guesses?
