This one comes highly recommended by many:
Becky says: “have you ever read the Vampire Queen series by Joey W Hill? I love that series, have read them all and I highly recommend you at least give it a try!”
Heather: “the Vampire queen series now that is just plain yummy if you are of a more unusual bent. it is heavily lifestyle oriented and beyond good. …very heavily BDSM oriented which is what i meant by lifestyle
wasn’t sure if i should put it down as BDSM so i just went with what we normally call it. it is definitely not historical it is more contemporary with some major differences. highly sexual too. i found it on amazon when i was searching for lifestyle oriented books. there are several series on amazon that people have listed.if you have a problem with major dominance oriented series Vampire Queen is not for you but it is always fun to be a little wicked and stretch your comfort zone…” read more
I admit it….I have Terrible Fever. 😉 So much so, that today’s review will not follow my usual format (yes, it has affected my thought process that much!)
What is Terrible Fever you ask? It is caused by Stacia Kane’s “Downside Ghosts” series and has a variety of symptoms (pleasing to the reader, perhaps not so much to those around the reader).
The fever causes the reader to:
However, the symptoms don’t end there.
Ok so what’s the series about? It’s awesome, but I’m simply going to paste in this morning’s chat with my mom about the series and how she needs to read it (she’s a paranormal romance addict like us). It’s kinda “raw” – just me, in my full excitement about the series, trying to tell her about it in general, without spoiling it. It would be too easy to give spoilers away, and since it is an ongoing series, I really don’t want to do that for those who haven’t read it yet. I think I did okay… read more

Eternal Kiss of Darkness
I LOVED it! In fact, I would have easily pulled an all-nighter, but my iPad quit before I was ready to (husband didn’t recharge it for me after his day of playing with it). But it held up well. I started the book late Friday evening and read straight through until 4am. It kept me captivated, on the edge of my seat, and I *sighed* my butt off throughout.
There was just something about this couple that sucked me right in, and they felt *right*. It was tense, exciting, chilling and heartwrenchingly sad – but incredibly and believably romantic. It had just the right amount of angst. I didn’t roll my eyes once! I know I’m *feeling* the book when my reading automatically slows down and I absorb and revel in the moments – does that ever happen to you? Conchita, you had it right! It WAS to be “savored slowly like a decadent desert” 😉 read more

Infinity: Chronicles of Nick
I’ll admit, the moment I started reading this and realized the main character “Nick Gautier” was only fourteen, I was apprehensive. We’ve come to know him as one of Kenyon’s crush-worthy adult characters from her “Dark-Hunter” series, and while I knew this story was about Nick as a teen, coming into the Dark-Hunter world, I didn’t realize just how young he’d be. Don’t get me wrong, I love YA novels (young adult novels) and many have proven to be completely absorbing and powerfully addictive (Twilight, Vampire Academy, etc…). In past YA series that I have reviewed, we were essentially dealing with older teens on the cusp of adulthood and let’s be honest, there is a BIG difference between 14 year olds and 17 year olds. read more
