Author Brit Lunden is today’s newsletter sponsor and we’re celebrating the recent release of her book The Devil and Dayna Dalton: (Book 9) A Bulwark Anthology. The series looks like a fun one to devour… following various characters in a small town (Bulwark, Georgia) and strange things are happening there (each story… a different “strange thing”). I just read the blurb of book #1 and it gave me a jolt! Totally up my creepy, paranormal (yet love stories!!) alley!
Vanessa needs our help! It’s short and sweet but maybe just enough to spark someone’s memory. I love cop romances and this one sounds like something that could make my heart ache and heal it too!!
I wasn’t too sure where to post this. I’ve been looking for a book for months and I just can’t find it.
It’s about a detective/cop that actually has a wife he’s separated from. The story involves them falling back in love with lots of angst. She fell in love with him whilst she was at college I think, so she really started to rely on him.
*claps* I had so much fun (and feels) reading this one!! It wasn’t anything crazy or over-the-top tense or anything like that, just pure sweet (yet super-steamy!!! HOLY MOLY) contemporary romance, with just the right amount of angst to keep me concerned about how it would resolve. And a cop-romance which I’ve obviously got a thing for. YAY ME!! I one-clicked this on release day SO HARD. 😉
It hit all my romance-buttons:
- A sweet and loving (and grieving) single father – check
- An interesting (and very plausible) date potential? – check!
- A not so pleasant (but also plausible) “meet cute” – CHECK!!
“What? What do you want?” I finally yell, stopping to face him. “Why can’t you leave me alone?”
Ohhhh I’m a sucker for police romance books, and these guys are all bad-asses!!!! SQUEEEE!! And yet again, Lani Lynn Vale can TOTALLY write an exciting book synopsis. She’s the queen of giving me blurb jolts ’cause they always make me gasp and bounce in my seat, and I always want to read them!!!
Vicki: I love Lani Lynn Vale. I have read all her books. She is one of my auto buy authors.
About book #1:
I’m kind of a lady, but definitely more of a weirdo.
Hearing the woman at the table behind him say that to her friend should’ve turned Logan Gibbs off. It doesn’t. In all honesty, it only makes him listen harder.
My sister just got back from an amazing vacation in Cuba and she just sent me this fun note (and TWO reviews!!) Both of these books sound right up my psych-thriller alley AND SHE LOVED THEM!!! Usually she’s here at my place around this time… and writing the reviews from my house, so I’m thrilled that she stuck to tradition (for the most part). 😉 *snort*
Johanne: I felt like doing something fun today so I decided to write a review for your blog. I read two books while on vacation. So here is the first review.
