Laura Thalassa – The Four Horsemen Series Reading Order

By 2 Comments

<— NEW SERIES FROM A MUCH-LOVED AUTHOR (our crew LOVES her!!) & book #3 just went up for preorder. OMG I got a total blurb-jolt from War so I read it!! 😀 It gave me that “Drogo-Khaleesi / KA Golden Dynasty vibe and I was so in the mood for that!!! 😛 And since each book is about a different couple, I didn’t feel lost. P.S. Here’s my review Book Review.

P.S. I’m totally loving it. It is EXACTLY what I was hoping for, and the writing is great (and the heroine is modern, albeit in a very changed and horrible new life). read more

Stasia Black – Marriage Raffle Series Reading Order

REVERSE HAREM FANS!!! Tons of great reviews on these, and book #1 is super-bargain priced right now.
OMG I love the premise of this!! “In the New Republic, every woman must marry five men. It’s the law. Welcome to the apocalypse.” Yikes!! And the fact that they’re chosen by raffle? Who knows what will happen… 😉

Kim: Reverse Harems: I have read two and quite enjoyed them! I read “Theirs to Protect” and “Theirs to Pleasure” by Stasia Black.

About book#1:

Nix never put his name in the marriage raffle for a reason. He doesn’t need a woman. There aren’t that many to go around anyway after a genetically engineered virus wiped out 90% of the female population. He has his job as head of the Security Squadron and it’s all he need. He looks out for the township. He protects the few women there are left. read more

POST APOCALYPTIC SERIES ALERT!! Oh I LOVE those storylines and book #3 (the finale!!) is now up for preorder!!!

MicheleS: I’m reading Year One, by Nora Roberts. Already hooked. Post Apocalyptic, mixed with Irish “Magick”… characters I already love…. so so good. Haven’t read her in years. Forgot how great a writer she is.

Michele G: I also give a shout out for how good Year One by Nora Roberts was! I’m currently reading/listening to the second one in the series, Of Blood and Bone. It’s also quite good and the romance that’s brewing in that one is going to be spectacular. The only bummer is having to wait for the next one to come out but I think it’s slated for November…. read more

Reader Question – The post-apocalyptic book with the hero that hears her having sex with his twin…

By 5 Comments

Author Ilsa Madden Mills has a reader question for us!!!! After all… authors are readers, too!! 😉 I love post-apocalyptic (almost anything goes and it’s such a fight for survival… a whole new way of life).

Let’s see if we can figure this one out:

She asks:

Hey how are you? 😀

My reader group and I are looking for a book title/author and we can’t figure it out and I was wondering if you could help. In fact, I think we’ve actually talked about this book before but goodness my brain is MUD. I can’t remember anything! Okay let me tell you what I know about the books… read more

Reader Question – The book where they’re in a club in LA when lights go out… all over US.

Here’s another one that we already guessed correctly, but it was a good book from wayyyyy back in our early-indie days, and I just had to post this in case some of you haven’t read it yet.

MichelleS: Need help. Wanted to recommend a book to my cousin, can’t remember the title.

They’re in a club in LA when lights go out… all over US. They work their way back to Texas to her family’s farm.

Post apocalyptic stuff ensues…, any ideas?
