Following my heart, one book at a time...
Okay so… admittedly, I was a psych-thriller addict this year and completely indulged my cravings. I succumbed to my needs for subtle creep-fests with obsessive stalkers and unreliable narrators that would keep throwing me off track.
But no worries, I read (and LOVED) plenty of romance too! In fact, there are plenty of love stories on this list (some, admittedly… a little creepy 😉 Tee hee!!) and I must say that I had a great and memorable reading year! I consider each of these must reads.
LESLIE’S LIST!!!!!! I always call her my picky book-bud and I love that about her, ’cause I know what she loved, I’ll likely love too. She’s a contemporary romance lover at heart!
And she’s fallen in love with audiobooks… so yay me, since I’m an audiobook newbie but I think this is my year! Leslie, I’m gonna need your guidance. 😉
But first, fun and random tidbit Leslie M highlights from 2019:
I def DO need something different. Same old, same old is driving me bonkers. That’s why I recently enjoyed A Five Minute Life and Under the Northern Lights. Those were unique. Trying “new” genres (in books, movies or tv) is so hard for me…but I am going to try to expand my horizons. 😉
Christina’s turn! And I’m gonna use this as my secondary TBR list since a bunch of books on here were at the top of my TBR list (like The Kiss Thief & River Wild just to name a few) around the beginning of the year. I forgot ’cause they got pushed down over the last few months with new books that gave me blurb jolts too!! Thank you for reminding me, Christina!! 😀 Plus there are a few in here that I read and loved too!

I LOVE a pretty cover…sometimes that is what makes me even look at the book to begin with.

We go to Panama City Beach at least once a summer since it is only a 3 1/2 hour drive. Even have an invite to go down for the weekend, just not sure if we will make it due to a possible ball game. Ugh! Crossing fingers that game will be a no go. Love getting my toes in that sugar sand!!
It’s Northerstar’s turn (and I just realized her real name is Kim, ’cause she signed off that way). She took a different approach to her reading in 2019 and I’m all for it!
