Lorelei James – Rough Riders Series Reading Order

A few fellow readers brought this series to my attention:

Brandy: I just read Long Hard Ride by Lorelei James.  OMG!!! It was so freaking hot.  Not one, not two, but three HOT cowboys on the rodeo circuit.  So of course after I finished this saucy book I was salivating for more.  And look what I found…a whole series!  Check it out.

You guys were NOT kidding when you recommended this book. I have been reading non-stop since late last night, with only a few hours here and there of sleep to keep me coherent. And I’m only 47% in but have NO desire to stop reading, to put it down, to get back to my own life (except, of course, to let you know as to why I’ve been so quiet all of the sudden).

Recommendations started pouring in, and I knew I had to start this trilogy ASAP. I promptly posted the reading order guide, and added it to my main “to-be-read” list. And when I received this Facebook comment by Kristina, that cinched it. It had to be next: read more

Book Review – Club Shadowlands by Cherise Sinclair

Thank you Ivie, Yvette and Lauren for THIS recommendation. WOW!! This one was a dark spark in my otherwise “vanilla” two week long book-fest since “Grey“. I’ve been looking for more intensity, and while this one wasn’t absolutely perfect (like some of our recent favorites), it sure sucked me in and held me captive. Literally. Fifty Shades Darker: Book Two of the Fifty Shades Trilogy
09/26/2011 20:03 – I’m delirious with both love for this series, and lack of sleep. Actually, I’m zombified. As much as I love to sleep, I apparently love to read more, and I’m starting to equate exhaustion with happiness.

09/27/2011 19:15 – Hehe. That was written last night (after I finished reading this book). I immediately “fired up” a review, ’cause I was so excited to tell you guys about it. But, it wasn’t going well. I kept backspacing everything. Nothing sounded right (except for that part, so I kept it). The book (or both of these books) are now at the top of my favorites list!! How could this not be the easiest book to review, since I loved it so much? But I shrugged and put it aside, and decided to cozy up on the couch and reflect on the book, instead. Fully involved in the Lynsay Sands Argeneau Vampires series…

I haven’t written any reviews in a week due to the fact that I am reading through the Lynsay Sands Argeneau Vampires series (one right after the next, as if they were candy). I just can’t stop. Silly, fun and easy reads, with just enough angst, romance and sexual energy to satisfy!

After each book, I fool myself into thinking I will review it right away, but instead, I procrastinate… right into picking up and indulging in the next one! Hopefully, this weekend I will show some restraint, and catch up with my reviews, and do them all at once. I’m so bad! read more
