Mharis needs our book help! Older YA and dark romance lovers… I bet you’ll know this one!! I definitely have not read it yet…

Hi Maryse!

I’ve read this book and I can’t remember the title.

All I can remember was they were highschool students and a guy decides on who to give this rose to “jumpstart” her popularity. If I remember correctly, the guys have sex with whomever the rose is given to. The hero is an athlete, soccer I think. It’s dark and angsty.

That’s it. I can’t remember the title. I’m into teen angst right now and I want to revisit that book again. read more

I keep hearing about how CRAZY-INTENSE (or shocking?!) the first scene is, in this book, and I am soooooooo curious and kind of scared. WHAT? WHAT HAPPENS??!! *gasp* No. Don’t tell me!!! 😉

Brandi: Brandi: Pam Godwin has a new series the first was released on 5/1 “Knotted” I love her dark style of writing and this one was tragic, full of angst as well as dark but a beautiful love story. I could not put it down a 4.5 star for me only because I can’t wait for the next book! (Note: this is a complete standalone but will continue the storyline in the next book) read more

Oh YES YES YES!!! MichelleS brought this up today, and of COURSE, the majority of time, if I’m “feeling” the heroine, I almost feel like I BECOME the heroine. It’s me. But then, I thought again… and I realize… not quite. 😉

Do you cast yourself as female heroine? If I need a short, smart, sassy Brunette my go-to girl is Anna Kendrick. Love her sassy little self. I guess I could use Maryse too! She’s like a Anna Kendrick too! Ha! Amy can be in all my emotional YAs. But I’m probably picturing her all wrong. read more

Book Review – Drumline by Stacy Kestwick

Pretty great cover, unique spin on the college “it group” (instead of the sports stars, it’s the band stars!) and hugely recommended by so many authors and readers, that I was very excited to give this one a go. In fact the hero in this one was compared to my beloved bad-ass, Travis, so you know I was rubbing my hands in glee to feel that feeling again.

Krista: MARYSE!!!!! AHHHhh!! OMG!!!! You NEED to read Drumline by Stacy kestwick ASAP… It has a beautiful disaster feel with Laird giving Travis a very close run for the lead!!!! Say what!?! I know right? I’m only at chapter 14 and I CANT put it down!! Seriously!! I think – no I know – you will LOVE it!! A snare Drumline geek hero and a strong quit-wit stubborn heroine. Stop what your doing and READ this book!! Gotta go!! read more
