unrequited love
Reader Question… Solved! The book about the heroine that takes her sister’s place to marry him and he’s not happy…
Sue is looking for this one! Oh I LOVE unrequited love books, and I can’t tell if this is a historical one or if it’s a more of a modern arranged marriage story, but I’m dying to know it!!!
She asks:
Hello Maryse,
I have asked a lot of my reading buddies this question and they have come up short in answering.
Here’s what I know/remember:
There are two sisters, the older one is getting married to the guy that they younger one has a crush on.
Her sister runs away to be with a different guy (love?) and the younger sister is expected to take her place. By doing this, she is saving the family/pact between two families, etc.
Reader Question…Solved! The book about the woman who pretends to be the prostitute he’s waiting for…
Beth has a short and sweet reader question for us! Maybe there’s just enough detail to spark someone’s memory. 😀
She asks:
Hey Maryse.
Love your blog. Your email messages always bring a smile to my face. I need some help with a book I read fairly recently.
What stands out in my mind is a woman who pretends to be a prostitute this guy is waiting for and they have crazy hot sex. When she leaves he asks for her name so he can request her again. She says her name is Candy and leaves the envelope full of cash on the table.
Reader Question – The book about the best friends and she’s in love with him but he’s confused about his sexuality…
Katrina needs our book helps! Oh I would LOVE to know this one too. Beware of the end of the question (I spoiler-alerted before it happens) but it gives us a good idea of how it ends.
OMG I just had a flash… of what book she *might* be thinking of and that ROCKED MY WORLD!! I’ll post it below. 😀
She asks:
Thank you for making a post about how to make a reader question I have been thinking for days how to figure this one out. I have been on your blog for about a year now and its really helped me with my reading, and its really allowed me to branch out into different genres.
