The Harlequin (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, Book 15)
Book # 15 of the series. This was definitely not one of my favorites. Unfortunately, I’ve forgotten some of the story since it has been a week or so since I’ve read it. I usually retain almost every bit of a book that I’ve loved, but with this series, I don’t know if it is because there are so many of them, that they are simply running into each other in my own memory, or if it’s that I am a little more bored with this series. However, since I have followed the “Anita Blake” crew from the start, I still appreciate my time with this set.

I just received “The Harlequin”, by Laurell K Hamilton…
I can’t wait to get started! I have been avidly following the whole Anita Blake series, and am quite fond of that eccentric bunch!
Of course I have my favorite books out of this series…and perhaps a few that have left me somewhat bewildered, but its all in good fun!
After all of this time, the whole group of ’em feel like old friends now, and every time I get a new Anita Blake book, I get all warm and fuzzy inside (wait – that didn’t sound right, considering some of the crazy scenes depicted…).
Book review – “Halfway to the Grave” by Jeaniene Frost
Halfway to the Grave (Night Huntress)
Ahhhhh yes – I read this one to hold me over while I waited for the remainder of my “Anita Blake” series to arrive in the mail (I had just finished the first 4 books, and was anticipating more of that crazy drama!)
But guess what? I was so enthralled with this new series (aka “The Night Huntress” novels), that I did not put it down until I got through it (Anita arrived, but had to wait)!
This series is action packed, funny AND romantic! It made me laugh out loud numerous times, and captured my attention, so much, that everything (and everyone else) went ignored.
Ahhhh Vampires….
I have just recently discovered, after years of saying “I’m not into Vampire movies”, that in actuality, I AM into vampire books. Who knew?!
After my mom introduced me to the “Twilight Saga”, and HBO introduced me to “True Blood” it would seem that I just cannot get my hands on enough vampire books to satiate me (what they call “Paranormal Romance”, to be exact). Yes, ’tis a guilty pleasure that I have tried to keep quiet, however the need to discuss and share all of these great stories with others has “pushed me out of the coffin” so to speak.
