Ugh. I’m awake! QUIT POKING ME! Geez, I’m up, I’m up. What happened? Why is the house more of mess than it was when you left last time?! Oh, never mind. I remember now. The BDB came over and we may have played some drinking games. Ugh, my head is killing me. No one told me being undead means that I still get drunk. I swear. A little information sharing is what needs to happen. You know like guide book. “Welcome to death. This is how it works.” Or something like that. Man, can you pass me the Tylenol? Sorry, I am out of blood, I guess people don’t take byob to heart anymore.

Book Review – Darkness Calls by Caridad Piñeiro
I purchased this entire series awhile back, and have been anxious to get started. What better time than now?
I completed book one last night, and liked it a lot. This author can sure write a love scene (whoa!). Actually, each scene is rich with description;
“…skin soft and flavored with the light sheen of sweat…”
The imagery conveyed illustrate the atmosphere & feelings beautifully.
This book is about a 140 year old vampire named Ryder, who is mostly alone in the world except for his one caretaker (a human doctor named Melissa). She is the only one who knows his secret, and has inherited the role from family tradition (a few generations of men in her family, have all, at one time, taken on the responsibility). While there is no romantic connection between the two, they care tremendously for each other, and consider each other family.

Awesome paranormal series with shifters, vampires, fallen angels, lots of danger and intense romance and steam!! I LOVED this series and am so happy to know that there will be more!!!

Just finishing up “Lover Avenged” by J.R. Ward
I have spent each evening reading this week, and have finished a few books that I will be reviewing shortly. I just love the latest J.R. Ward book “Lover Avenged”, and am almost done. All that waiting for her upcoming release, and when it finally comes out, I get through it much too quickly…
However, I have plenty of good reading material right after this one! Some new Kathy Love books have arrived, the latest Charlaine Harris installment, Amanda Ashley, and a bunch from Caridad Piñeiro to entertain me!
