Jaymei needs our book helps and OMG YESSSSSS!!!!! I totally want a list of books like this. YES YES YES!!! Not the best friend, and not the anticipated “hero” of the story either, but the jerk of the story GETS HER?? YES!!! This is TOTALLY one of my favorite tropes.
I love hating on a bad guy, and feeling all of that angst and turmoil and trauma, and then whoooooops… he becomes THE LOVE INTEREST!! GASP!!!! And it has to be hard to get, for me, you know? Like, I especially love it when it surprises me, or when something happens that changes EVERYTHING.
