It’s the first official release day of the year and we have some awesome looking ones to kick off the new year!

<— P.S. I just want to say, that one there to the left gave me a CRAZY blurb-jolt. I screamed out OMG!!!!! Once I hit the end of that blurb and I’m FREAKING out. This sounds… AWESOME! My sister was all.. WHAT?!! WHAT?!! So I read the blurb out loud… yep. Blurb-jolt. Gah! Do I even post a portion of the blurb here, or let y’all read it for yourselves and get the same jolt I did? *sigh* Let’s just say, it involves a kidnapped girl, the guy who saves her… and her kidnapper. 😉 read more

Reader Favorites – Anne’s Top 10 Reads for 2015

January 4, 2016 By Maryse 19 Comments

Another top 2015 book list, and this time, our fellow reader Anne, has narrowed it down! 😀

Anne’s been with us since this year (at least in “active” form) and she’s been high active with us!! Here’s a little about Anne (and her book preferences):

“I love mafia books!”
“I love rock star romances!”
She’s a HUGE Elle Kennedy fan! “The secondary characters are great too! Love Tucker and his beard and the guys reaction to it for example. I don’t know it makes everything more believable. I can’t get enough of this series and Elle’s writing!”
She’s a HUGE Mia Sheridan fan! “She writes such unique, beautiful stories that she is without a doubt one of my favorite authors.”
” I like anything that has a romantic element to it but I don’t like straight up erotica or mystery (scary) books “
“I don’t mind if its a series or a standalone I love angsty and passionate!”
“I like second chance romances because they give me hope. True love never dies and that’s just beautiful.”
Her take on an “HEA”: “A romance book by definition should end in a HEA. That’s why I love reading this genre! …That’s what I expect from a happy ending. It doesn’t mean I’ll only read books that end happily but I prefer if they do.”
“My poor Kindle is filled with books from one or 2 years ago that I haven’t read yet :/ And I keep adding more and more lol It never ends!”

Ready for her list?

“Hi Maryse! Finally I have time to sit down and send you my list. It was such a great year reading wise that it was hard to pick my favorite books but these ones have stayed with me. Without further ado here’s my top 10 books of 2015 😀 “ read more

I’m finishing up a book as we speak… and I already know which one I’m starting tomorrow!!! It’s Missed Connection from the list below and there is something about this love story that is calling me HARD. Two people (from different worlds) that meet by chance… years pass and they meet again?

<— “Love may be infinite but time is not, Missed Connection is a novel about making the very best you can with what little you’ve got.“

Which one is calling you? Did I miss one of your highly anticipated ones? read more

YAY Jean!!!! I love that you sent me this fun list, and now we get to add even more new-to-mes on our TBR list for 2016! 😀

“Hi Maryse! So since everyone was posting their 5 star reads for 2015 and the majority of them were on my list too, I figured I would send you my most memorable to mix it up a little.

Here they are in no particular order!”

Cocky Bastard by Vi Keeland <— “loved, loved, loved it! Have you met the goat yet? Hysterical!”

Wither (The Withered Series) (Volume 1) – Amy Miles <— “…absolutely loved it! I could not put it down! Totally reminded me of Until The End Of The World so if you liked that, I highly recommend this one! No cliffhanger, but set up for the next book! Ugh, my heart is on the floor!” read more

Reader Question – The book where the single mother takes in an injured man and she nurses him back to health via her… sexual healing… waggles eyebrows

January 3, 2016 By Maryse 6 Comments

This reader question had quite an eyebrow raising description that it had so many in our crew giggling and following to find out what book it could possible be. And when a guess came through (only one so far… so the “guess the book” game is still on) there was a lot of one-clicking going on. 😉

Maryse: Lisa needs our book help!! Does anyone know this one?

Here’s the whole question:

“Hi Maryse. I’m hoping you can help me find which book this is. I appreciate any help you can offer. This is a Historical. I think taking place in London. read more
