Fangs For The Memories
I had heard about Kathy Love through her “Young Brothers” books and immediately collected the series. Strangely enough, I read her “Bourbon Trilogy” first (and LOVED it). I’ve decided to tackle the Young brothers this week, and just finished book 1. Great start, quite funny (Sebastian is especially a hoot…I have a yet another crush…what’s new?), and I really enjoyed the premise of the story.
It is about a New Yorker male (Rhys Young) who is the typical hunky yet brooding, dark and angry, single vampire. In a bar one night, he is intrigued by an adorable non-New Yorker female (Jane) who just happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Having had a bad day on her new venture in New York, she wanders into a seedy bar, drinks too many tequila shots, and is eventually accosted in a back alley, by a recently released prisoner. Rhys, with all of his paranormal abilities is aware of the potential trouble brewing, and steps in to save her. read more

A Hunger Like No Other (Immortals After Dark, Book 1)
This is the official Book#1 in the “Immortals After Dark” series. The series has been recommended to me over and over, and I was very happy to receive it for Christmas.
While I enjoyed quite a few parts of book #1, overall, I’d say it was just “okay”. I didn’t connect to the characters much. The heroine (Emma) went from a childlike innocence to hard-headed and irritating. While most of these stories evolve where the heroine inevitably becomes stronger, Emma’s personal growth transition was so quick that it didn’t seem natural. Her hunky alpha male (Lachlain) was great in some ways, however, I found myself cringing at many of his demands, from his insistence in keeping her against her will (for fear she’d never come back to him if he let her out of his sight) to his sexual advances, despite her resistance. read more
Dreamfever: Fever Series Book 4
QUICK WARNING: As usual, proceed with caution! All the good parts that I will be discussing in this book are pretty much spoilers for the book before it.
Book#4 – The latest but not last book in MacKayla’s world (one more expected this year), was my absolute favorite of the lot. Not only do we get to see a completely different version of MacKayla, but we experience a very changed world through her eyes, and even get some special one on one time with Barrons. What did I not like? The cliffhanger!! Well actually, I LOVED it (brilliant!), I just didn’t like that I couldn’t immediately continue onto the next book and get relief. read more

This series recommended by a fellow reader, Risika: “… not completely paranormal more alien but they have powers and the guys are like cat men.”
About book# 1
Cat is an enslaved warrior from a race with a feline gene that gives him awesome beauty, fearsome strength, and sensuality and sexual prowess unmatched by any other males in the universe. Even filthy, chained, and beaten, he gives off an aura of power and virility and his feline gene gives him a special aura.
