Reader Question – The book about the baseball player that becomes obsessed with a married woman…

June 6, 2024 By Maryse 3 Comments

Casey is looking for this one! Ohhhhh spicy!!!! Does he become problematic? I’m thinking the “obsessed” might be a stalker-ish obsession since she mentions dark romance?

She asks:

I’m looking for a fiction/dark romance book, I originally read it maybe 2010ish, found at a used book store.

I believe the male main character is a baseball player and he meets and becomes obsessed with the female heroine, I think she was also married. They end up having an affair and he becomes more and more obsessed with her, I can’t remember how it ends but I don’t think it’s a happy ending. read more

Reader Question… Solved! The book where Kai is engaged to Violet but wants to be with Harper…

June 6, 2024 By Maryse 4 Comments

Aaliyah is looking for this one. Actually she’s helping her sister out and I think that’s so sweet!! And I think we’ve got plenty of detail to work with.

She asks:

Hiya

I’m back as my sister really wants the title of this novella.

The details that she remembers is the H’s name is Kai, his engaged to a girl called Violet for several years but has been dating a women called Harper for a few months who works in his friends nightclub. Kai is abit of an a*hole but wants to be with Harper. There’s meant to be a reason why his engaged to Violet. read more

Reader Question – The book where she’s her best friend’s fake fiancé for his workplace, but she’s secretly in love with him…

June 5, 2024 By Maryse 1 Comment

Jaanu is looking for this one! Oh right off the bat, I remember the “workplace thing” she mentions from a recent book blurb I posted. Allllssssoooo… the “leaving on a bus” makes me think of that devastating, heartbreak scene in “Love, In English” by Karina Halle. HOLY. MOLY. But that’s not the book. 😉

She asks:

What’s that book called? Fake dating, best friends to lovers

So I’m looking for a book where the FMC works as a librarian or at a book store and is best friends with the MMC (she’s always been in love with him). He asks her to pretend to be his girlfriend or fiancèe? Because his workplace is all about family and they attend events together. read more

Reader Question – The book about the rock star, the waitress and the secret baby…

June 5, 2024 By Maryse Leave a Comment

Fiona is looking for this one! Short and sweet and sounds like a rock star guilty pleasure!! Hopefully someone recognizes it from the small amount of detail. *fingers crossed*

She asks:

TROUBLE FINDING A BOOK. I READ THIS BOOK ON AMAZON BUT CANT FIND IT NOW.

THE HERO IS A RICH ROCKSTAR WHO LOVES A WAITRESS [I THINK} and she leaves him and then they have a secret child.

he is also involved with a male bandmate but blames the girl for leaving him

Anyone have a guess?

➔➔➔ Browse more reader questions (solved & unsolved) here. 😀 Maybe you’ll find a solved one to read or have a guess for us for one that’s still unsolved. read more

That sounds like Undeniable by Madeline Sheehan. I read it in 2012. Really great book. I remember waking up ar 2 am to read because I couldn't stop thinking about it. So good.
