FIVE FACTS ABOUT THE CARELLI FAMILY SAGA BY EDEN BUTLER

1. The Carelli siblings– Smoke, Dario, Dante, and Antonia first appeared in the final book of the Nailed Down series by Chelle Bliss and Eden Butler, STRIPPED DOWN.

Eden and Chelle wanted to write about a fun, loud, loving family that might not always live on the right side of the law. From STRIPPED DOWN, Smoke Carelli and his siblings came to life.

2. Every book in the Carelli Family Saga will be about each Carelli sibling.DARIO is book two and the final book, ANTONIA will finish the series in 2022.

3. The ultimate goal of the series is to get most of the family out of the mob. But, there will be one exception. You’ll have to keep reading the series to find out who that will be.

4. Smoke Carelli is presented as the leader of the family business. (In their small town at least). But like many families, the real, behind-the-scenes head of this family is the mother, Angelique Carelli who takes no crap from anyone, least of all her kids. Sidebar: There’s a story in SMOKE about how Mr. and Mrs. Carelli met and fell in love. It entails her pretending to have a constantly breaking-down car and him not getting the hint that she kept coming around so he’d ask her out. This is actually very similar to the story of how Eden’s aunt and uncle met and fell in love over thirty years ago.

5. Most of the characters are inspired by real-life mobsters. Eden was obsessed with mob documentaries when she was a kid and those stories, and the mobsters that told them sort of left an impression. Except, Eden has no clue about these real-life counterparts to the Carelli characters and their love lives. The ones in the series were completely invented in Eden’s mildly R-rate imagination.
