I can’t think of the name or who wrote it but i remember it being military based, he comes home on leave and his long time girlfriend tells him she’s pregnant. He freaks out and tells her he can’t be with her and goes back to the army.
She never hears from him.
I remember she gives birth alone and meets another military man in the same hospital as she is in and helps him as he was hurt when on active duty?.
