Ooooooh Areesha came up with a GREAT IDEA FOR A BOOK LIST! This one is bound to be riddled with marital strife and emotional turbulence. 😬 Unrequited love (in a way) mixed in with the “other woman” and all sorts of gasp-worthy moments!
She asks for recommendations for…
“…Any book on a couple’s arrange marriage but the man doesn’t want his wife because he already is in a relationship with someone else.
Might be good if it’s written in the husband’s pov. Thanks.”
Anyone have a favorite like this to recommend?
Jessica: Arranged by R.k. Lilley is the first that comes to mind for me.
Wendy: just finished reading and I loved it!!!
M.L: Sparrow by LJ Shen?
Maryse: That’s the one I was thinking of, too!!! GAH!!! That one was tumultuous!!! Here’s my Book Review.
M.L.: just read it, loved it
Carmen: Unwanted Wife by Natasha Anders
Tammy: this one was so good.
Paula: Her whole unwanted series is a hit.
Paula: Her standalone a Ruthless Proposition is one of my favorite books. It has the same feel your looking for but they don’t marry in the beginning.
Wendy: I appreciate your recommendations…I have been in search of good reading and this thread and your input is greatly appreciated..Thank you going to check Ruthless Proposition now
Tonya: The kiss thief sort of falls into there LJ Shen
Maryse: One comes to mind for me, but in this case, it’s the heroine in the arranged marriage and in love with someone else… 53 Letters For My Lover by Leylah Attar and here’s Book Review <— I LOVED IT!!
Shaleen: My absolute Favorite trope. Billion-Dollar Marriage Contract by Allysa Urbano and Wife by Agreement by Kim Lawrence were quite good. I have to say though in this trope nothing matched up to the Unwanted Wife (forever fav) for me.
Brenda: I enjoyed Downfall (Kingdoms of Sin Book 1) by Willow Aster
- Separate Beds Lavyrle Spencer
- Temporary Wife Roberta Leigh
- Magnolia Diana palmer
- Silver lining – Maggie Osbourne
- Trophy Wife — Alessandra Torres
Jen C: Just finished Trophy Wife and loved it – it was exactly the type of book I was wanting to read after feeling like I’d been reading the same thing over and over again the last few weeks.
Jessica: I just one-clicked Alessandra’s TROPHY WIFE. I love the taboo trope, and anything with a so-wrong-it’s-right contract in it is my catnip these days. I already stayed up way too late plowing through half of it last night, and now I’m *almost* looking forward to going to the gym today because I get to keep reading it on the elliptical. Thanks for the great blog post!
