I’ve been getting so many reader/listener requests lately, so it looks like it’s time for a new “full-on” BIG FAVORITE AUDIOBOOKS list.

We have one from a year ago, and a few mini “reader-favorites lists” (I posted those at the end of this post) but many of our fellow readers are just discovering the convenience and entertainment value of listening to a book instead (or have already gone through our older recommendations lists and are ready for more). 😉 read more

YAY!!! Our resident Twilight lover is also an audiobook lover. BIG TIME!!!

Leslie: “Audiobooks rule!!! I have no idea how I lived without them.

…At first, I couldn’t get into them. They couldn’t hold my interest, I’d fall asleep, tune them out etc. I kept trying them (lucky for me my library has good selection) and I FINALLY got used to it.

Now I am obsessed with them! I use them like other people do music. While driving, cleaning, cooking, etc. You wouldn’t believe how much extra reading time you can squeeze into a day when you do audiobooks!! Best invention ever!!” read more

Reader Question – Recommendations for books that will play with your heart strings…

Samantha is in the mood to FEEL… and she’s looking for suggestions! I have plenty for her (of course!! I like the hurty-ones), but maybe you guys have some great recommendations for her too?

Reader Confession – Kathy has a thing for single dad book-heroes…

Maryse… daydreaming about “single dad” book heroes. Like the one in “Wrecking Ball” (although he’s actually the uncle… but still the guardian). *sigh*

Kathy confessed. She loves a certain kind of book-hero. And I can confess with her. I’m a sucker for this one, too!

Plus, I’ve found us some reader-recommendations for these VERY books. 😉

I am a sucker for single or widowed Dad romances. I guess I like to see men in stories who are vulnerable and have a soft spot for their children. It is hard for me not to one click if I see that blurb!”

Reader Confession – MichelleS confesses her “Book Catnip”…

It’s reader confession time!!! This is Maryse’s guilty-pleasure face… 😉 Er… is it weird that I’m talking about myself in the third person?

First off… LOL!!! I love the book-terms we come up with here. bev bought us “Catnip“, meaning that certain THING about a story, or blurb that will have us crazy in one-clicking delight, eager to roll in, er, I mean devour our newfound guilty-pleasure. Probably roll in it, too. LOL! 😛

MichelleS’s reaction/confession (and the discussion it sparked) made me laugh so hard!
