Book Review – Wrecking Ball by P. Dangelico

Wrecking Ball (Hard To Love Book 1)
SWEEEEEET but in perfect harmony with the whole slow-burn, OH-NO-HE-DIDN’T-WHAT-A-JERK kind of fun! Gah I love a reluctant hero (reclusive, or just darn moody) and this one had him in droves!

It was exactly as my fellow readers squeeeeee’d about.

Feels so good to be back to reading after so many months! Not that I did not read during those last months, believe me! But they were study books about the mortgage broker’s industry as well as real estate investment. Now that my classes and exams are passed, let’s get back to a bit of “feel good and sexy” leisure time!

Remember in the last review “Shadowed – Book 8”, I was telling you about a clumsy character? Well, as usual, Evangeline did not disappoint me, not in the least! Some of the goofs, you see coming from a mile, but that only adds to the fun of how it all happens! I was smiling and giggling a lot throughout the book but there is one part that made me laugh so hard, I was crying. So, for those of you who read in public (on the commute, at the coffee shop or the laundromat), you could get puzzled looks… or smiles!  read more

Book Review – Mists of The Serengeti by Leylah Attar

Mists of The Serengeti

This was one of the most beautifully written, vibrant, touching and perfectly detailed stories I’ve ever read. I WAS THERE, you guys. I could see it. I could feel it. I could smell it. I could taste it. I was living it. And I never wanted to leave. In fact, this book had me sobbing, wholeheartedly, and that’s when I knew, I was connected, heart and soul, to these characters, and to this land. To their plight. To their roots.

Maryse: Okay I just want to announce that many of you (including me) will likely LOVE “Mists of the Serengeti” by Leylah Attar. I’m reading the ARC, it’ll be out in just a few days, and HOLY MOLY it’s exquisitely written and vibrant. And it starts off with a GASP!!!! I’m still only in the first quarter but yeah… this is one of ours. Like… I’d say it’s for those of us that love those Suanne Laqueur, Emma Scott, Renee Carlino type of epic stories. you know the type of book. Deep, and a grand journey of life and love for sure. read more
