Maryse’s Top Twenty Five Favorite Books of 2017

It’s that time of the year, and I am so thrilled to bring these forward again. Truly my friends. These are the loves of my life, this year… and for all time. If you’re looking for THAT read… 5-star awesomeness that encompasses all the feels, with that incredible writing delivered via realistic characters and stories we can relate to, here they are. I swear by these!

I haven’t placed them in order of preference because I prefer them ALL equally. These are the best of the best, and each one for different reasons. read more

It’s JenC’s turn! She’s just sent us her Best of 2017 all the way from New Zealand!! Okay well, I mean… you know. Via email, so… it wasn’t a huge trek, but still!! How cool is that?!

JenC: Clothes, cars, architecture/houses, locations… pretty much everything! I loooove how Penelope Douglas has her pinterest boards for her books. I remember using that a lot when I was reading Corrupt – like some of the pins have the chapters in the comment so you can follow along haha. read more

Our wonderful Nay had a BIG year this year, some hurdles and some HUGE successes and we are SO happy to have her with us here every day. We LOVE YOU NAY!!!!

“Wow! What a year 2017 was! I had a bad thing that made it my worst year and I had a miraculous thing that made it one of my best years. So with all of the activity and the stress, I ended up falling into the biggest reading slump(s)

I’ve ever been in, totaling about 6 months of my precious reading year. And although many books sounded fantastic and many of my friends were buddy reading and gushing over them, I either couldn’t bring myself to pick up my Kindle and get started, or my concentration was so bad that I just couldn’t get into them, even though I wanted so badly to achieve the escape that can be found in a book. read more

Nancy is our “Facebook book-bud” (she’s been with us for years and is one of my very first book friends, in fact)!!!! She does comment here every once in awhile, and I am so happy she’s sent me her best of list!!

In fact, I’ve read and loved a few, and a few are HUGELY popular here with out crew that I haven’t read yet (though are on my TBR list!!) and now I just noticed a few that are totally new-to-me but that sound great!

And now… Amy’s list!!!!! Did you guys know we’re book twins? What Amy loves, I LOVE and yes… after browsing this list of awesomeness, it’s obvious I have read a TON of ’em, but I LOVE that there are some here that I haven’t read.

One even, that she barely even gave 4 stars, and yet it made her best of list. YOU KNOW you wanna know why. Or I do. 😉

That kind of tease calls to me SO hard. Because I “get” that feeling. A book you didn’t love, and yet affected you so hard that you will always remember it, talk about it, maybe even tell people to read it… read more
