*WARNING* – it’s best not to read this review if you haven’t yet read the series, in *case* of slight spoilers. I try not to give away the good (or important) parts, but some just HAD to be highlighted here, I just couldn’t resist. Too too good!

You’re the One that I Haunt (Nicki Styx, Book 3)

Yayyyyyy Sammy! I mean…Boooooo Sammy! Nobody should ever cheer for the Devil (what was I thinking?) 😉

It’s so hard to see Sammy as evil (and THE Devil, for that matter), considering my first intro to the Devil as portrayed in The Exorcist (best horror movie of all time, BTW). Yup, I had to keep reminding myself of that while I crushed and melted every time Sammy came into the picture in this one. read more

Book Review – A Match Made in Hell by Terri Garey

A Match Made in Hell (Nicki Styx, Book 2)

After finishing book #2 (this one) I quickly realized that this was totally my kind of series 😉 I liked book one, but this one had me excited enough to immediately move onto #3 (which, by the way, I read straight through, and will be heading into #4 tonight). Yup, two books in two days, and the series just keeps getting better with each installment.

The series is mostly funny, as Nicki is all about sarcastic wit, but the tales are also very moving. You see, despite having been raised in a loving home, Nicki was once one of those angsty goth teens, rebelling against everything. This attitude followed her deep into her adulthood (keeping mostly everyone at arms length). But things are changing for Nicki, as her tiny circle of friends appears to be growing into a necessary (and comforting) entourage. read more

Dead Girls Are Easy (Nicki Styx, Book 1)
This was another fun and easy read! Lighthearted, a bit of romance, and a touch of scary!

Ok so it goes like this: The main character, Nicki Styx (yah…I suspect someone likes Motley Crue – speaking of which, have any of you read Nikki Sixx’s book? Good stuff too!!), okay anyway…

So Nicki (a spunky, goth-ish, female) almost dies from complications due to a genetic heart defect, and upon being revived, discovers an ability. She sees dead people (well, at least, their ghostly counterparts). Her handsome doctor develops a crush on her and follows her through her trials and tribulations. read more
