Following my heart, one book at a time...
BREAKING NEWS UPDATE!!! Erin Watt’s Twisted Palace: The Royals JUST WENT LIVE!! ➔➔➔➔➔➔➔➔
<— OH YESSSSSSS!!! JUST WENT LIVE & I ONE-CLICKED IT SO HARD!!!!! Black Swan Affair is that crazy sounding one that I posted about a few days ago. So you can bet this is what I’m reading now!!!
“He was always meant to be mine. He came back, all right. But instead of smelling of promises, he stunk of betrayal. And he destroyed me—us—the day he married my sister instead of me.
Happy Friday everyone!! I’m finishing up a book today (super-romance and absolutely made for us!!) and will be reviewing shortly, and then I think… maybe time to choose an adrenaline-pumper. I want a fun/scaryish reading weekend. Something dark. Or that has a mind-blowing, super-clever twist that I didn’t see coming. I have a few on my list, but if you have a recommendation for me, I’m all ears!
I’m also thinking something poignant and emotional and life-changing (always unputtdownable and unforgettable), but… *sigh* my wonderful mommy has left me this morning, and headed back to Canada. I think I’m already feeling too melancholy for that. It’s bittersweet, you know? Best time ever, but saying goodbye is the worst. Knowing it’s coming, each day, one day closer and reminding myself… don’t think about it. Just live in the moment. Enjoy each and every moment.
100+ new releases today, and the list is ready!!! Great recommendations in our list, too, and I’m almost finished one of the new releases (so I’ll be reviewing shortly). And of course I highlighted a bunch that look extra good to me, to help you sort through ’em.
AND!!! Yesterday was yet again an ultimate “Early bird” book release day (with some super-star authors) so don’t forget to check it out if you missed it ➔ ➔ ➔ ➔ Happy Monday! I found 12 Monday Earlybird Book Releases!!!
BREAKING NEWS UPDATE!!! We’re now up to TWELVE earlybirds!!! (including Abbi Glines just went live!)
YAY MONDAY!!! Today has a bunch of awesome things about it. It’s my mom’s birthday, and she’s visiting with me this week (and I LOVE my mommy, so I’m going to make her a birthday breakfast!!). Also, it’s Canadian Thanksgiving today (Happy Thanksgiving my fellow Canadians!!) so we’re going to have a mini-one here. YAY! Two Thanksgivings for me this year!! 😀
Plus, I just opened the door and it’s FALL outside. Finally, Florida is getting its fall season. Brisk and crisp (my mom’s not as excited about that, though 😉 ), and not humid at all. Oh happy day!!! I had to commemorate it here since it’s the first official fall-feelingday for me. Although it’ll be back up in the 80′s later, but at least for now, I can bask in that crisp-fall scent and brisk air. LOVE IT! Time to pull out the pumpkin stuff!
Just to let everyone know, I’m on the other side of Florida (on the west coast) and all is well here. Of course we’ll still be experiencing some tropical storm force winds, from some of those outer hurricane bands, but I am safe and sound. Just worried about trees that might not handle the wind gusts as well (and the next few hours will give me an idea), but! It looks like I’ll be here reading and playing books with you all day. LOL!! Yay electricity!! :D!!!
P.S. While I was heading into “Crosstalk” next (and still will, on Sunday), Amy tempted me with her squeeing over THIS “Kindle First” book (Evelyn, After: A Novel up there to the left), and it just so happened that THAT was the one I chose too. So if anyone wants to buddy read with us, this is what I’m reading as we speak! I LOVE crazy thrillers (and that BLURB. Yikes… a love story gone wrong for sure).
