<— First… I know many of you were dying of this one!!! YAY! IT’S LIVE. And Karen is FAH-REAKING OUT right now… but ummm… Karen? I think this just encourages us to wanna read it more. Just sayin’ :P LOL!!!!!!!!

She said:

But I love her.
But I hate her.
Ugh, I wish I could unread Heat. I’m such a stupid mess right now.

Bev: After work reading Heat. Whoot!

Tessa: Karen, that’s probably the best thing you could say! :-) I am prepared for mind messery

Bev: I’m with Tessa. Sometimes a brutal CH can be fun. Mostly cause only 3 week wait. I saw a good review for #3.

Maryse: Oh no. Now I HAVE to read this!!!!!!!!! Thank goodness #1 (Elements of Chemistry: ATTRACTION (Hypothesis Series Book 1) is super-bargain priced. I’m indulging this weekend, with these two!!

Plus I’ve got a bunch of other brand new releases below, and of course bargains and reader recommendations, too!

Oh, and I’m sorry to say this (or happy to say this) :P but next week’s releases (the pre-orders below)? Y’ALL ARE GONNA FREAK. It’s like a bowl of every one of my favorite mixed “Godiva” chocolates just begging for me to eat ‘em all. Chocolate covered cherries, chocolate covered caramels and chocolate covered toffee… all at once. Which one do I bite first? GAH! No… seriously. Next week, I’m locking myself in and reading my heart out!

But!! I must take a deep breath and focus. I’m way too excited. Let’s start off the day on a mini-theme to help Bushra (since this is our weekly “book recommendation” post, I think this is gonna be perfect for her! She is in love with bad-boy book bikers and wants MORE like Tack. So let’s get her started…

She asks:

Bushra: Hey Maryse! I LOVE your book blog! Its my #1 place to find my new read! I just finished reading Motorcycle Man and…. My God! Tack is just…. wooh! Anyway i need your help… im looking for a really good MC romance but the sweet ones that still manage to be macho and alpha like Tack… Is there one you can recommend? Would really appreciate it thanks!

Lauren: 2 names….Tillie Cole (It Ain’t Me, Babe (Hades Hangmen Book 1) & Madeline Sheehan….Absolutely incredible MC books. Ryan Michelle has a great series too (Ravage Me (Ravage MC Book 1). I’d start with Madeline Sheehan’s series….you will LOVE Eva & Deuce (Undeniable).

Paulette: Lock & Key by Cat Porter

Maryse: Oooooh yes!! I LOVE Madeline Sheehan’s books, and I need to read Lock and Key. :D Also check out this list (and the comments) as there are a TON of recommended biker books here: Ultimate List of Biker Books

Any more all-time favorite sweet but bad-boy biker books? I could use a real biker-love book fog right now, too!

And here are a few that are on my very next on my TBR list: Obviously Penny Reid’s panic-inducer: Elements of Chemistry: ATTRACTION. And… Saving Mercy (she falls in love with the ghost in her house… ooooh I think I wanna cry already over this one), Interim (the one with that CRAZY blurb from a week ago and that Sally LOVED like crazy), The Mistake (it’s coming out on Tuesday, but I have a review copy and OMG I THINK THIS IS NEXT for me ’cause I LOVED The Deal). Or what about Fear Me? He sounds like the ULTIMATE bully. And don’t get me started on the Indebted series that MichelleS is spazzing out over. Another “ultimate bully” Sounds like the worst of the worst which of course… sounds so fun!!

P.S. Let me know if I’m missing any or if you loved any (from this list or elsewhere).

AND a reminder:  for those accessing my blog via their mobile device (phone or tablet) you’ll notice the look of it has changed (for now, that’s the “mobile compatible” version and I’m hoping we can get it close to the usual “look” while still keeping it “mobile friendly”). On a desktop computer/laptop the look of the blog is the usual one.

Yep, was so excited for Heat I preordered it and own it. The problem is Night School series is just so exciting. If Zoe dies, I’m going on an Ugly Cry marathon.

Preordered Carter Reed 2 because it’s Carter Reed. We all loved Carter Reed, right?

So many awesome books mentioned today, I’m overwhelmed!

Nic April 24, 2015 at 12:54 PM

Read interim earlier this week. You will not be disappointed. I love when a book is does not follow a normal plot plan. This was it. You think you know where it’s going and then it changes and then it changes back. It was great. Loved this story. Also just finished Tillie Cole’s Second book in the Hangman Biker series…Wow this story keeps getting better. Even more violence than the first which I didn’t know was possible but the story is amazing.

Karen April 24, 2015 at 1:04 PM

But I love her.
But I hate her.
Ugh, I wish I could unread Heat. I’m such a stupid mess right now.

Tessa April 24, 2015 at 1:07 PM

Oh, the August 5th comment for Debt Inheritance… Yes, you’ll freak out. My jaw dropped at how Third Debt ended. Remember my nuttiness just reading, then that ending… Omg…

Sarah April 24, 2015 at 1:13 PM

Checking out a few of these recommendations. . I just finished the Hollywood Timelines series. You should totally check it out if you haven’t already. Soooo GOOD! HERE IS BOOK 1 http://www.amazon.com/Last-Thing-Hollywood-Timelines-Book-ebook/dp/B00MPXP56Y/ref=tmm_kin_title_0

Tessa April 24, 2015 at 1:19 PM

Karen, that’s probably the best thing you could say! :-) I am prepared for mind messery after Night School.

Karen April 24, 2015 at 1:25 PM

Tessa DON’T READ IT! Don’t do it. The ending is so brutal.

(SPOILER ALERT —–….. it reminded me of breaking up with my first love, just brought back all that hurt and how impossible the situation felt, I’m a total mess…… —– END SPOILER)

I wish I’d waited for all three parts to come out. Now I don’t want to read anything.

bev April 24, 2015 at 1:26 PM

After work reading Heat. Whoot!
Then thinking Then came You or Midsummer Moon or Seize the fire or ………lol.
I want a really good birthday weekend read. Yes, taking the whole weekend.;-)

bev April 24, 2015 at 1:29 PM

I’m with Tessa. Sometimes a brutal CH can be fun. Mostly cause only 3 week wait. I saw a good review for #3.

Cindy April 24, 2015 at 1:45 PM

Just finished Own The Wind by KA. It’s a spin off and focuses on Tacks daughter. It’s very good and definitely a biker book. And Tack makes several appearances. (Side note: I haven’t read all of KA but can I just take a second to say how awesome PLay It Safe is!! Could be my fave along with Mystery Man)
Luckiest Girl Alive comes out next month. Sounds intriguing!
Loved The Deal so I will be checking out The Mistake! Happy Friday :)

Maryse April 24, 2015 at 1:46 PM

Happy birthday bev!!!!!!!

Birthday martini night!! woooooooo hoooooooooo!!!! Happy dance!

Tessa April 24, 2015 at 2:14 PM

Haspoy Birthday Bev! *bunches of hugs* May all CH be jaw dropping and all standalones leave happy, squishy feelings for your weekend!

Karen, that just makes me want to read it more. (I’m weird like that.)

Shane April 24, 2015 at 2:42 PM

Happy birthday Bev, hope it’s a great one and you get to read something unforgettable….

Great list Maryse, thank you. I want to read Interim, but I am afraid. I am such a chicken, I know.

So many on my TBR, but adding Bully. I am in book heaven, so many books for the weekend!!!

Tessa April 24, 2015 at 2:43 PM

ERM, that was happy, not haspoy. Autocorrect corrects everything wrong, but can’t fix that?

Tense part of the book, can you tell? I read a little, go nuts, and then look online to distance myself, then jump in for more.

Tessa April 24, 2015 at 2:47 PM

And… Heart thumping CH. Is it June yet?

Jen April 24, 2015 at 2:48 PM

You know how much I love Skye Warren’s Beauty series! I can’t wait for the latest installment. I am so happy that she wrote another book Erin and Blake. I have such a soft spot for this couple.

Niki April 24, 2015 at 2:52 PM

Happy Birthday Bev!! I’m waiting for the third Penny Reid book to come out before I start that series since I read she would bundle them together.

Tessa you have me intrigued with this Night School series…I think I will download the sample and check it out!! I also want to re-read The Deal and Bad Romeo before Tuesday!! I love rereading awesome books…like Kulti..which I have read about 100 times now;)

Michelle April 24, 2015 at 3:05 PM

Happy Birthday Bev!! It’s too bad there’s no The Others book for ya huh?…oh well we can’t have it all ;) but I hope you pick some good reads for the weekend and enjoy :D

Laura April 24, 2015 at 3:18 PM

Happy birthday bev *does highland jig for bev* hmmm that won’t do *gets hubby to highland jig with kilt on for bev* yay!
Lol anyways I just want to say Outland don’t u think it’s so cute how Jamie can’t wink he just blinks instead lol

Amy April 24, 2015 at 3:23 PM

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEV!!!!!!!!!!! *squeezes Bev in a crushing hug* Definitely a birthday martini night!!! :D

Gah!! Y’all have me wanting to read the Hypothesis series and the Debt series but those CH’s?!? :( Booooo….

BUT, all of those bully jerk-face books up there have me ready to squirrel. Don’t worry MichelleS, I’m gonna be sticking with the Roam series but I think I’ll be breaking it up every book or two with something else ’cause, ya know, my book ADD and all. ;)

Amy April 24, 2015 at 3:31 PM

Hey Laura, is your hubby gonna do the Full Monty for Bev as well? He is in a kilt after all so… :P

By the way, my rec for a biker book is Beautiful Ink by Nicole Reed…she is trying to get AWAY from the MC life. Soooo emotional in some parts, especially the “hidden” tattoo in her hairline. *sob* But, it definitely has a different twist from the other MC books so if you are looking for a bada$$ alpha biker H to fall for, it won’t happen with this one. Or maybe it will. SOME ladies like to fall for the bad “other” guy… *side-eyes Maryse*

Cheryl April 24, 2015 at 3:35 PM

I’m still reading the Fall Away series, probably have as many hours left as Amy does in her series!! Can’t wait for next week and The Mistake. Glad to hear After Dark is better, I dnf book 2. One clicked Since Drew- got me with football star!!
Haven’t read Carter Reed, but after reading the blurb, yep one-clicked it! Are there going to be more than the 2 books?

Happy birthday Bev!!!!

Tessa April 24, 2015 at 3:56 PM

Other guy? *eyes Amy* You make that sound like a bad thing!

Cheryl, Carter Reed is seriously good. She never intended to write a Carter Reed 2 so I can’t say if there will be a number 3.

Nancy Parken April 24, 2015 at 3:59 PM

I just wanted to add one that I just bought. I get tired of younger reads & all though this one is a short story it is reduced to 99 cents: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00TU5E16K/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pd_nS_img?_encoding=UTF8&colid=3P9D676W2AUX9&coliid=I31MCV8C49VPRL

Fabi April 24, 2015 at 5:04 PM

Happy happy birthday Bev!!!

Jennifer April 24, 2015 at 5:14 PM

Happy birthday Bev! Hope you have a wonderful reading weekend. I’m recovering from surgery and hope to spend most of the next 6 weeks reading ( when not sleeping or doped up

Bev A April 24, 2015 at 5:29 PM

Jamie Begley has great MC books. Just sayin…..

Tessa April 24, 2015 at 5:32 PM

Ooh Hope you feel better after the rest Jennifer.

Not a spoiler, but this is why I like the Hypothesis Series. It’s hilarious! Kaitlyn’s POV ( all of it is so far)

“Instead of being a hovering, indecisive creeper, I decided to close the door behind me and sit at his desk, be a full-fledged lurking creeper instead, maybe give him a little fright when he woke up and found me staring at him. This thought made me laugh with sinister glee.”

MichelleS April 24, 2015 at 5:44 PM

Happy Birthday Bev!!! I wish I had some ponies and sugar lumps to send your way – or a great book recommendation. Enjoy your weekend.

Laura – it is SUPER cute that Jamie can’t blink, and that he gets sea-sick, and that he runs his finger under his nose all the time (what’s up with that? – must be a D. Gabaldon thing) It makes him so real. You’re getting to experience this all for the first time? Makes me jealous.

Fabi April 24, 2015 at 5:52 PM

Tessa love that quote, it’s hilarious.

Lauren April 24, 2015 at 6:36 PM

Carter Reed is one of my all time favorite books. Read it!!! You will love it!

Jodie April 24, 2015 at 7:39 PM

Maryse I love the Elements of Chemistry books. I just finished book 2 and ah

bev April 24, 2015 at 9:24 PM

Tessa, love this, “And I couldn’t care less if you were upstairs, right now, having a ginormous orgy with the ringworm gang. Because I’ve known all along that you are a jerk-face and you don’t know how to treat people with decency.”

Tessa April 24, 2015 at 9:33 PM

Hahahaha It’s awesome, huh?

Jaime April 25, 2015 at 10:32 AM

I don’t normally read cliffhanger books until they are all out, but i started elements of chemistry when the first one came out. It was really good and i was so excited for Heat to come out. Well let me tell you, Heat was hot! I loved it even more than the first book and can’t wait to find out how this all ends.

Tessa April 25, 2015 at 12:33 PM

I agree Jaime. That was really good, and hilarious. The end was sad, but it’s a CH, so I’ll wait before being sad. That’s how I cope with sad CHs. :-)

Cheryl April 25, 2015 at 12:39 PM

Laura, not much Jamie does that isn’t cute!!

Hypothesis series sounds really good but I’m waiting until book 3 is released before starting it. Me and cliffhangers do not get along well!! ;)

Still reading Fall Away series…

Linda April 25, 2015 at 12:58 PM

Cheryl, if you haven’t read any Penny Reid before, you can pick up her Neanderthal Seeks Human for Kindle for Free while you are waiting for the other series bundle to come out.

bev April 25, 2015 at 2:30 PM

Whoa the new RL Mathewson was released, lol. Totally missed that until today.

Side note. I love when you order something and they send you a sample.

bev April 25, 2015 at 4:54 PM

Tessa, finally finished Heat. So good. Ugh when she sees how good he looks? Ouch.
But the playing Rage Against the Machine on her acoustic guitar? Lol.
Can’t. Wait.

Jean April 25, 2015 at 6:05 PM

I’m late to the party! Happy birthday bev!

Tessa April 25, 2015 at 6:06 PM

Rofl That was awesome. I could see that too. Between that and synonyms for a body part. *grins* That was funny.

bev April 25, 2015 at 6:46 PM

Thanks Jean. :-)

Tessa, the last one was disturbing.lol.

Now need to pick my next read. What’s everyone reading right now?

Tessa April 25, 2015 at 7:34 PM

Nothing. I can’t get into anything, and I have some awesome books to stare at and ignore!

Fabi April 25, 2015 at 7:44 PM

Awww Tessa, I hate it when that happens.

bev April 25, 2015 at 8:11 PM

With Fabi, been there and hate it!

Haven’t chosen my next one yet. But I’m like Maryse with her box of chocolates up there, lol. They all look good today, just not sure what flavor I want.
Historical with some Kleypas or Kinsale?
Contemporary with Reber?
UF with Andrews?
Uf/YA with Cole?
And etc, etc, etc…..
*Rubs hands*

Linda April 25, 2015 at 10:19 PM

Is the Blyss trilogy highly recommended by anyone? Trying to stay somewhat blind to reviews. Leaving end of week for girls long weekend at beach just for reading and total relaxation!! Can’t decide on catching up with latest with Gideon or The Mistake or going to another series similar to Fifty Shades,This Man, or Driven series. Those were perfect beach reads!!! Ugh I’ll repeat life can be sooo hard!!! ;) ))

Cheryl April 26, 2015 at 8:51 AM

Linda I have read the Neanderthal books and really liked them!!

Kissing Madeline by Lex Martin releases tomorrow. It is the 3rd book in a standalone, somewhat connected series. I read book 2 Finding Dandelion and book 1 Dearest Clementine is free.
I probably will squirrel from the Fall Away series to read this and then The Mistake. ;)

Karen April 26, 2015 at 8:58 AM

Tessa– I warned you not to read HEAT! See!! It’s been two days and I still can’t bring myself to read anything. :-(
Although I also loved the “angry acoustic guitar music” lol!

Bev– Happy Belated Birthday!!

Linda April 26, 2015 at 10:03 AM

Thanks Cheryl for bringing my attention to Dearest Clementine and Finding Dandeline! Already have them in my tbr!!! They sound perfect. Have already read Neanderthal series, Neighbors from Hell etc etc!! You see where I’m going right???!! My library is sooo long I get overwhelmed and end up reading newest recommendations instead of going to what I’ve already one clickety clicked!!! Yep book hoarder whore!!!

Tessa April 26, 2015 at 10:26 AM

Karen, i so see what you mean. I sat most of yesterday not able to read anything. I finally gave in and decided to reread Fear Me to get out of the funk. I figure I need to prepare for May 11, Fear You. (That and it’s really good.)

Niki April 26, 2015 at 12:17 PM

The first six books in The Grave Series by Darynda Jones are on sale today for $1.99 each!!! So if you haven’t read them now would be a great time!! I love Charley and Reyes:)

Maryse April 26, 2015 at 12:57 PM

Thank you Niki!!!! :D

Diane M April 26, 2015 at 1:40 PM

happy birthday Bev!!

Amy April 26, 2015 at 3:03 PM

Ladies!! I’ve missed you all! :D I haven’t had a whole lot of reading time the last couple of days ’cause my bestest friend ever just moved near me and is now 10 minutes away instead of on the other side of the country…she’s my personality twin, so imagine two of me running around for a couple of days. *snicker* Yeah, our hubbies have pretty much pulled their hair out and gone into hiding. ;)

Soooooo, I’m thinking either the Kane series now (I’m breaking up my Roam reading) or maybe get caught up with the Maddox brothers. Although I do have to say that I’m pretty tempted right now with the Hypothesis series ’cause of how y’all are reacting to it…it might just be worth freaking out over the CH!

MichelleS April 26, 2015 at 3:58 PM

I’ve been super busy too – it’s prom season and my son is a senior. Who knew tuxes were so expensive to rent?? I had to stop the Indebted series to read a book called Black Rain by Jettie Woodruff. My friend loaned it to me, so I had to fit it in real quick. It was a 4 star (maybe higher?) read for me. I adored Pea (the little girl steals every scene). Like so many, the potential was there and the author just needed to push it there. Still good though.

I am now getting back to Indebted #3. But my next read has to be a good MC club book. On my way home from the store I was parked at a light next to some bikers with the loudest, most rumbly Harleys ever. It was HOT. Made me crave Tack.

Tessa April 26, 2015 at 4:08 PM

Amy, two of you running around sounds fun. Exhausting, but fun. :P Of those books, I’m going to say… Kane series. That one has you written all over it.

MichelleS, I think Jettie Woodruff is one of those that gets better and learns more as she writes. I loved Plausibility, but thought her Picked was potentially great, but missed so many marks. Which just makes me excited for her next one.

After the Second Debt is completed, you must tell me your reaction! Not the book, the debt itself. Because… in real life, I could handle the first debt, but the second… nope.

Julie April 26, 2015 at 5:22 PM

I finished Forever Red today, which was mentioned last week I think, and loved it! A great second chance romance. Before that I read Forked and Floored (from the Frenched series) and they were five star reads too. I started the Mad Tatter today – hoping to read The Mistake next.

Oh wow. That Liasons series sounds like my type big time. Also, yeah! Now I own another KA Linde. And Fear Me, well… I’m re-reading it right now. Still hot the second time around. Keiran still scares me though.

Tessa April 26, 2015 at 6:30 PM

Oh, and Thank you!!!

Michelle April 26, 2015 at 7:09 PM

Tessa, the first book in the Liaisons series was free last month but I looked at my list of book deals I’ve posted and I didn’t include it for some reason :( If I see it drop in price again I will make sure to post. I think the other one by Poppet looked intriguing too. I’m reading a book I got free and posted here as well, Covered in Coal by Silla Webb. I really like it so far and might have to go right into the next one since it has a CH.

Oh and I read Bully and liked it a lot! I want to keep going with that series but it ended in such a perfect way that I left it there for now. The Jared POV I really want to read soon though while it’s fresh in my head.

Tessa April 26, 2015 at 7:17 PM

*grins* That book stole my heart. None have been as good as it, though I’ve loved the others. The first book is a Kindle Unlimited, so I downloaded it. I had only nine downloaded, so I was good to go. I just really am loving Fear Me again so much, I can’t stop reading it.

Michelle April 26, 2015 at 8:16 PM

Let me know if you read the Liaisons series then. Only 9 downloaded made me chuckle…you read fast though too so will get through that quickly. I downloaded Fear Me when it came out but still haven’t gotten around to reading it.

Tessa April 26, 2015 at 8:33 PM

Fear Me is hot, but dark. To me, it’s not as good as Bully, but again, Bully stole my heart. That classroom scene where she’s giving a speech just makes me choke up every time. Fear Me makes me gasp and hide my head, and it’s well, hot. :P If BB Reid always writes this well, with such well developed characters, she’ll be an auto buy author.

MichelleS April 27, 2015 at 7:55 AM

Tessa – well, the second debt has been paid. This now went from Suspense to horror. OMG. What are they thinking? That would be a huge deal breaker for me. Still can’t predict a thing. I actually skimmed a bit so I could get to it because I was getting too anxious. How many debts have you lived through?

Tessa April 27, 2015 at 9:53 AM

Fourth Debt comes out on August… so… The Second Debt just… No. Just no. I would have run the other way. However, the aftermath was a game changer of the story.

Watch, Third Debt you’ll be calling Jet stupid. He pissed me off so much.

Amy April 27, 2015 at 2:42 PM

I’m having fun with the Kane series so far. Tate is definitely different in that she is not a blushing, innocent woman…she gives as good as she gets and is not naive at all about what is and what is not going on between her and Jameson aka “Satan.” *snicker*

Tessa April 27, 2015 at 2:50 PM

Yes! I knew you’d like her. Normally I don’t like that type of heroine, because she’s hard and bitter towards the world, blaming some guy and secretly hating all men. Tate just loves life and sex. She’s happy with who she is. I totally wish there were more Tates in romance novels.

Michelle April 27, 2015 at 3:03 PM

Finished Covered in Coal by Silla Webb and loved it!! I’m moving right into book 2 since there is a mini-CH. There’s a lot of drama and angst right from the prologue anddddd it has a hot coal miner (yes coal miner if that isn’t unique) but if that’s not enough, also let’s throw in the hot firefighter too…oh boy I really recommend this one!

Tessa April 27, 2015 at 4:30 PM

Oooh, I’ll put it in my tbr now file, rather than wherever I put it.

Divine Liaison… I can’t. 17% in and just nope. Too much poetic phrasing. Even walking to the car and meeting the hero, it was all these metaphors that became ridiculous. When they did the deed, I was giggling. It was just too weird. Bullets and glitter and linens of huh? weirdness.

MichelleS April 27, 2015 at 5:21 PM

A coal miner, a hot firefighter, and it has Michelle going straight to book two? This may be worth a look see……

Okay – I read the amazon blurb – doesn’t sound like anything crazy, just boy meets girl, boy loses girl, yada yada…. but… if done right, this is one of my favorite kinds of stories. So….. you’re recommending it, huh? Okey dokey…

Michelle April 27, 2015 at 6:27 PM

Oh Tessa that book sounds painful then haha. No money lost though right ;)

MichelleS, yes I recommend it! The blurb was nothing amazing I agree but I was intrigued by the coal premise and thought it would be different. I think by one third in, it already had the emotional content of most contemporary romance books and I was like okay now where is this going to go which was exciting. So yeah the blurb makes it sound predictable but so far, not so much. The second book is developing some of the secondary characters more and so far I like it even more. I got the first one for free and posted here but you didn’t get it? Do you want a lend?

Oh, I read Come Dancing. I think the review I read for it gave it a B and I’d agree with that. My quibble would be I wanted the H to maybe react or ask some more questions than she did. But it is slow burn, first person, and a good sense of place & time. It really felt like the 80s and how maybe a rock band would be. Don’t quote me cause bad memory but wanted to say I kept seeing the H as like out of like Led Zepplin with being British and his way of dressing. Though different decade. Anyway saw that the second is 99 too, so thanks Michelle.
There is also a Christmas novella.

Tessa April 27, 2015 at 9:18 PM

Oh good, Sound of Snowfall is free. I’ve got issues about paying money for 17 pages. :P

That Revenge series sounds so good. Five for free makes me very curious.

Jean April 28, 2015 at 9:22 AM

I downloaded the Revenge series…why not right? Thanks Michelle!

Was squeeing this morning when I saw My Mistake pop up on my Kindle! Just need to finish Asa and then I’m on it!!!!

Anticipating and dreading Maryse’s list today!!!!!

Fabi April 28, 2015 at 6:46 PM

Jean I downloaded that series too. :-) . Thank you Michelle.
