HAPPY FRIDAY!!! Today’s Friday Finds is extra loaded, and I’ll be adding more throughout the day, if anything goes live or if I see a super-bargain that can’t be missed.
P.S. MY LATEST REVIEW IS UP!! ➔ Book Review – Trespassing: A Novel by Brandi Reeds
TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT WE FOUND FOR THE WEEKEND !!
- His Pawn by Emily Snow <— EMILY SNOW’S LATEST IS LIVE!! HE HAD A PROPOSITION FOR HER WHEN SHE LOST HER TUITION… 😉 “…My name is Eleanor Courtney, and I’m the first to admit my mistakes. Agreeing to crawl into bed with the devil in a designer suit might be my biggest ever. Because he said something else to me that night: “I don’t want to sleep with you, Elle, that would be too easy. I want to possess you.” And Senator Graham Delaney—well, he always gets exactly what he wants.“
- Tulsa by S.L. Scott <— LIVE!!!! S.L. SCOTT’S LATEST!!! ROCK STAR ALERT (and can be read as a standalone)! “...Tulsa Crow can save his pick up lines, great eight-pack abs, and cute dimples to use on someone else. My band earned their spot on The Resistance’s tour just like The Crow Brothers. I’m not going to blow it getting sidetracked by a cocky rock star that wants to sleep his way through the states. I’ve been called a name or two, but easy isn’t one of them. But the best intentions with him turn into a walk of shame for me. Only, I don’t feel shame. Instead, I’m doing the very thing I said I wouldn’t—falling for a playboy...”
- Maybe Don’t Wanna (The Simple Man Series Book 2) by Lani Lynn Vale <— LIVE!!! LANI LYNN VALE ALERT!! HE’S AN ANTI-HERO… “…Parker’s spent his life trying to get back on the right side of the tracks, but each step he takes forward, he takes two more steps back. To save one, he hurts others. To make this good, he turns that bad. For appearances’ sake, he plays the part. He does what people expect him to do—mostly. And at the end of each day, he goes back to his lonely apartment and wishes he was a different person. One who could fix the things he’s broken. Then Kayla Nash forces her way into his life…”
- Iron Princess (Savage Trilogy Book 2) by Meghan March <— Lisa IS LOVING this series!!
Lisa: So excited for Iron Princess that I started & finished it today. Love this series. Only a month to wait for the final book. I can handle that!! Tessa get started with Savage Prince: An Anti-Heroes Collection Novel (Savage Trilogy Book 1) you will love it!!
- Asphalt Cowboys by Madison Sevier <– JO FELL IN LOVE WITH A TRUCKER!!
Jo: Everyone says truckers are horrible people, but I found the Asphalt Cowboys (Renegade and Phoenix) by Madison Sevier and wow! Heart, depth and true love between these characters blew my mind. Total trucker respect now! And so HOT!
- The Replacement Wife: A Psychological Thriller by Britney King
- Forsaken by B. B. Hamel <—PSYCH THRILLER ALERT!! MY FRIEND LORI REDESIGNED THIS COVER!! Gorgeous and dark-sounding and eerie and I am so intrigued. She was his gift… “I was stolen and gifted to him – a dominating, brutal and a cold hearted killer. My pleas fall on deaf ears as I stay trapped and held hostage to his will. He could do anything he wanted with me. And I know what it is he’s looking for…” and then!!! “…With each gentle touch and act of kindness that lures me closer to him, I’m finding it impossible to remember why I should fight this.”
- Dark Queen (Jane Yellowrock) by Faith Hunter <— FAITH HUNTER RECENT RELEASE FEEDBACK ALERT! Laura has feedback for us!!!
Laura: Totally stunned by the ending of Dark Queen by Faith Hunter! I finished the book and immediately had to scour the Internet to find out if this was the last book in the series. Faith Hunter blew up the world she’s spent years creating.
Tessa: WHAT LAURA SAID! Seriously, Dark Queen is the book I was ranting over and crying over yesterday. She just flipped everything on end! That book will stay with me for a VERY long while. Two more books, though! Thank GOD! If not, it wouldn’t have ended on a CH, but would have destroyed me instead.
- Fake Wife by Stacey Lynn <— OMG THIS SOUNDS SO GOOOOOOD!! STACEY LYNN SUPER-BARGAIN!!! She almost accidentally kills him… and then he makes her an irresistible offer 😉 “First I lose my job. Then I come home and find out—in the most graphic way possible . . . yeah, that way—that my boyfriend is a cheating jerk. And then I speed off and nearly kill Portland’s sexiest bachelor. Corbin Lane should be pissed. Instead, he offers me more money than I’ve ever seen in my life to marry him and live together in a mansion for two years. No sex. No feelings. Just cash—enough to make all my dreams come true. Then we go and break all our rules . . . and I realize I’m falling in love with my fake fiancé...”
- Bloom (Evergreen Series Book 3) by Cassia Leo <— LIVE!!!! The series is complete! Bloom is the heart-pounding, emotional conclusion to the Evergreen Series from New York Times bestselling author Cassia Leo. P.S. And here are the first two books in the series!!
- Sidebarred: A Legal Briefs Novella by Emma Chase <— Sky recommends it!
Sky: I have read your review about Sustained (Jake and Chelsea). and the review was great. Jake is one of my favourite leading man. If you want more “Jake and Chelsea” fix (Don’t forget the kids) you should read Sidebarred: A Legal Briefs Novella. It’s a short and sweet novella including Jake and Chelsea now happily married. You will not regret it. 🙂
- Doppelbanger by Heather M. Orgeron <— LIVE!!! HE’S A SINGLE FATHER… “...Jeffrey Ryan never imagined that at nearly forty he’d find himself widowed and a single dad. But here he is–stumbling through this thing called life with two impressionable daughters watching his every move. When Gina and Jeffrey meet while cruising the Caribbean, sparks fly and not in a good way. He’s too old. Too blond. Too stiff. Yet she’s still drawn to him like a moth to a flame. She’s too vulgar. Too sassy. Too wild. But she ignites something inside of him he can’t ignore…“
Jessica: It’s so funny!
Ashley: Finished this book yesterday and I loved it!
- Jock Row (Jock Hard Book 1) by Sara Ney <— SARA NEY’S LATEST IS LIVE!!! LOLLLLL!!!! THIS SOUNDS SOOOOO FUNNNN!!!! She keeps her friends out of trouble, and the college sports heroes are sick of her! “…Being a well known jock-blocker gets her noticed for all the wrong reasons; just like that, she’s banned from Jock Row. NO GUY WANTS A GIRL AROUND WHO KEEPS THEIR JOCK FRIENDS FROM GETTING LAID. “Rowdy” Wade is the hot shot short-stop for the universities baseball team—and the unlucky bastard who drew the short straw: keep little Miss Goody Two-Shoes out of the Baseball House. But week-after-week Scarlett returns, determined to get inside…”
Sali: Ohhhhh this looks good! …this could be a good sports rom-com read!!!
- Back River Quiver by Alexa Riley <— LIVE!!!! ALEXA RILEY’S LATEST!! I am laughing SO hard at their warning at the end of the blurb. HILARIOUS. And here’s just a snippet of the actual blurb: “…Rixen has been praying for God to send him his angel, his rightful mate who will live with him in the swamp and bear his children. When he finds the strawberry-blonde beauty before him in danger, he doesn’t hesitate to save her. Then claim his reward…”
- Ride by Harper Dallas <— BACK ON THE LIST ‘CAUSE R. LOVED IT TOO!
R.: I just finished Kandace’s rec, Ride by Harper Dallas, and I second it! Great debut! You know I’m not a fan of naked torso covers, but aside from that, this one is a bit misleading. It’s about a broody mega-star broken snowboarder, not a hoodie-wearing vampire biker…
- JETT (A Brikken Motorcycle Club Saga Book 2) by Debra Kayne <— LIVE!!! BIKER BOOK ALERT!! And Fiona loved it!
Fiona: I have read the second book this morning in the series by Debra Kayne another great MC series of hers. This is the second book just out on the oldest son Jett (A Brikken Motorcycle Club) of the President of the MC Chief. What I love about Debra Kayne’s MC books is that they are gritty, real & a good rollercoaster story with the H & H.
In this book Jett who is totally alpha but makes no apologies for it which I love falls for Sydney a run away in the foster system; yes he is older & she is younger but there is no underage hanky panky! until shes older. A lot happens in this book; Sydney has been through the mill & finds it hard to trust anyone; she only has her younger sister Kylie at the start who is still in the foster care system. It shows the importance of family no matter what & how the MC rally around Sydney, her sister & Jett.
Would recommend the series; the next book is about the next brother Olin.
APRIL FAVORITES ROUNDUP:
- The Transcend Duet by Jewel E. Ann <— OBVIOUSLY!! 😉 Maryse: Favorite book in April? Mine was Transcend & Epoch.
Cassey: I read these bc of your recommendation! Loved it, thanks!!
Amy: My favorite for April was Transcend/Epoch!
Ari: Transcend & Epoch!
Nikki: Same books!
bev: My favorite is Transcend….i think only one I read. So same as Maryse and Amy!
Robyn: Agreed! Loved that duet. Maybe favorite this year.
Victoria: I loved those too, but my favorite was The Birthday List.
Anna: Transcend and Epoch Love all of Jewel E. Ann books as well!!!!!
Kate: The duet has stayed with me for awhile. Jewel E Ann is a wonderful writer!
Maria: I’m feeling like I need to read this duet!!!!
Linda: Definitely the duet and Our Unscripted Story by L.A. Fiore. All 5*****
- Outnumbered by Shay Savage <— Essa: Outnumbered by Shay Savage!
- Skygods (The Hydraulic Series Book 2) by Sarah Latchaw <— R’S favorite!
R: Mine was Hydraulic Level Five/Skygods. You: A Novel came in second.
Carol: I read those years ago. Soooo good.
- Sugar Bowl Series by Sawyer Bennett <— Leslie’s favorite!
Leslie: My fave April read was Sugar Bowl series by Sawyer Bennett. 4.5 stars I typically don’t like romantic suspense, but this was exciting and hard to put down.
- The Boy and His Ribbon (Ribbon Duet Book 1) by Pepper Winters <— MichelleS’s favorite!!
April fave – a total surprise. You’d think Transcend & Epoch duo, right right? Well, when I look at my Kindle, the one book that stands out is A Boy and his Ribbon. Yup. Who knew? Story is still staying with me.
What I’m reading right now: Jack & Jill series book three. I’m hooked. Book two gutted me.
- Dive Series by Kylie Scott <— Megan: Dirty and Twist by Kylie Scott!
- Hollow Folk Series by Gregory Ashe<— Teri: “Gregory Ashe’s Hollow Folk series. New author to me. YA/M/M/ paranormal. Intense.”
- The Pebble Jar by H.A. Robinson<— Carol: The Pebble Jar. Loved it.
- Secondborn Series by Amy Bartol <— Tessa LOVED it!
Tessa: Best Book of April time! Mine was between three books. Well, two were a series so I count it as one. However, the series stood out Secondborn (Secondborn Series Book 1) and Traitor Born (Secondborn Series Book 2) by Amy Bartol just blew me away. It was so high in angst, GAH. I loved it. It beat out Psychic’s Spell (Legion of Angels Book 6) by Ella Summers and Sleeping with Monsters (Playing with Monsters Book 2) by Amelia Hutchins. I’m still waiting on book three though. It’s not a complete series yet.

Nothing I love more than coming here to play in Grey’s early morning glitter bombing!!!
Happy Friday.
Hope it is a good day for everyone.
I think I want iced coffee…..
*happy friday dance in Grey’s glitter *
Adding to the ever-exploding TBR
Doppelbanger

Ride
*holds out cup to bev to fill with iced coffee*
Going to see Avenger’s this weekend! Woot woot
Just a heads up if I’m making at home I like to add condensed milk and cream like the pioneer woman.
bev I have never had condensed milk. It’s that sweet thick milk in a can right?
I wanna try it. 😀
Ooooh, that sounds delish bev.
WHAT LAURA SAID! Seriously, Dark Queen is the book I was ranting over and crying over yesterday. She just flipped everything on end! That book will stay with me for a VERY long while. Two more books, though! Thank GOD! If not, it wouldn’t have ended on a CH, but would have destroyed me instead.
Oh, Magic Triumphs comes out Aug. 28, not this month. It was pushed back a while ago when they had a family thing that took precedence.
I tried reading The Thief and nope. DNF. Great plot and characters, but the writing didn’t work for me. It had the same problem that I had with Deeper where it told me stuff instead of just showing me.
Speaking of Ilona Andrews. I’m Pack (which makes me SOOOO happy).
https://www.ilona-andrews.com/a-quiz-find-your-place-in-kates-atlanta/
I’m so glad it is Friday and yet……
I want it to be Wednesday already. That’s how much I love My Ahjussi. I want the next work week to start again, lol.
I still need to look up this My Ahjussi show. It’s a show right?
Sounds pretty juicy. 😉
*ahem* See what I did there? 😛
Knight of the Order. Haven’t read enough Kate to know it. But maybe I have a sword?
*holds it. Stares at Tessa’s dis at Deeper*
SERIOUSLY!!!!! WHAT IS IT WITH THE DAMN BEARDS ON COVERS? WHO KNOWS WHAT’S IN THERE?
Mornin’! Or, good afternoon. I started off this morning stating to my husband that I didn’t want to do anything today. He asked what the doctor said yesterday and of course I told him she said not to do anything! I’m so groggy, I feel like a zombie.
Knight of the Order means you are part of the squad that will help anyone, but it has to be done your way. Kate’s adopted father in the first book was a Knight.
And I never said I liked Deeper. Now you all know what will cause me to DNF a book.
LOL Tasha! That’s awesome. He didn’t say anything after that, did he?
He laughed, but I wasn’t totally making that up. She DID say rest as much as you can Bc you’re right there and you know what happens next. Which equals a 2 week vacation for me. As soon as he’s done working all this overtime, I’m totally cashing in!! 😛
LOL Tasha!
As well, you deserve too!!!
I love it in iced coffee! We need a shop here that’ll do a version of the Vietnamese iced coffee. Coffee always tastes better to me when I don’t have to make it. 😉
Speaking of drinks- I hate coconut water. It’s disgusting, it tastes like vegetable water- broccoli or something. But, I keep trying it Bc I want to like it. And, I read that it’s way better for you than Propel or Gatorade or something Bc it has lots of electrolytes and none of the junk. So I bought some, it had been a couple years, and nope. Still don’t like it. I read that you could try mixing it w/a little pineapple juice so I tried it and I kind of like it! Like, it’s bearable. I don’t feel that hot today so I’m not loving it, but it’s kinda good! Lol
I get what you’re saying both coconut water but I kind of got used to it and love it now. And now I’m craving a nice cold glass of it.
You’ve never had sweetened condensed milk? It’s SUPER sweet by itself but good. It goes into so many good baking foods that’s insane. You know you can just take some semi-sweet chocolate chips and a can of sweetened condensed milk (I guess nuts if you like them), put them in a microwave, microwave it until the chips melt, stir, refrigerate, and POOF! You have fudge.
Sweetened condensed is the best!
I will buy some this weekend!!!
Good morning book friends!!
Don’t forget Victoria Aveyards War Storm comes out this month on the 15!! So excited for this last book. I gotta start rereading.
Dark Queen? Am I missing something good?
I have soooo many good books in the hopper right now. It’s hard to choose what to read next. I absolutely love that feeling!
You’ve never had sweetened condensed milk Maryse? For shame! I used,to make these seven layer bars, but I think they are also called magic bars, with that milk. The recipe might even be on the label. Those bars were pure sugar, but so good. You could only eat a teeny piece at a time.
Maryse–WHAAA? You haven’t had condensed milk?!!! That’s one of life’s little pleasures for me. I love it so much that I sometimes put it over chocolate ice cream. Heck, sometimes I eat it off a spoon!
Robyn–Yes! We call those Hello Dollies. I make them for almost every holiday. Layers of butter, graham cracker crumbs, coconut, chocolate chips, butterscotch chips with condensed milk poured all over it before you bake. We only do 6 layers because no one in my family likes nuts.
Another condensed milk recipe: stir together cool whip, can o’ cherry pie filling, crushed pineapple, condensed milk and a bunch of mini marshmallows and freeze. Yum! We call it ‘pink stuff’. lol The marshmallows are optional and you can add other things if you like. My sister sometimes adds mandarin oranges.
Oh, and Dark Queen is the latest Jane Yellowrock novel by Faith Hunter.
OMG you guys are making me so hungry. I am dying for Nay’s “pink stuff”.
*whispers…Malachi and I*
Sweetened condensed milk…yum, lemonade pie. Also, seems I have heard that you can use it to make your own homemade liquid creamer.
All this iced coffee talk made me have to stop at Dunkin’ for a toasted almond flavor one. Yum! It is delicious.
My mom used to make lots of recipes with condensed milk. She called the bars “yummy bars” and also another recipe like Nay’s that had fruit and marshmallows. I can’t remember the others.
are the yummy bars like Nainamo bars? Or however you spell that.
I used to devour those in Canada. I haven’t seen ANY in the US. I think I’m going to make desserts this weekend. 🙂
Oh and coconut water…pleh! I love coconut and also heard the water was better than gatorade…so when I was sick I thought I would try it and yuckers! It made me nauseas.
This is what we used it in growing up, it’s my absolute favorite- https://www.the-girl-who-ate-everything.com/cherry-cheese-pie/
Two things for Maryse this weekend. Ready Maryse?
1. Make a tall glass of this….well the whole big jar:
https://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/perfect-iced-coffee/
bev. DONE!! I will absolutely make that coffee. It keeps in the fridge for days, she says!!! 🙂 I LOVE coffee.
2. Then watch this:
https://www.google.com/search?q=my+ahjussi&oq=my+ahjussi&aqs=chrome..69i57j69i59j0l2.5246j0j4&client=ms-android-uscellular-us&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8
On dramafever. Pleeaaaassseee. Pleeeeeeaaaaassssseee.
It does start slow. I was interested in the heroine from ep 1 but by ep 3 I was like, Ok I’m in. I want to know where this is going.
I’ll watch it over again with you. And eat marshmallows and condensed milk and not threaten our friends with a sword.
Pleeeeeeaaaaasssse with lemon on top.
bev… can it be lemonade pie on top? D.G. is tempting me, too. 😛
I don’t like coconut so you can imagine how I feel about the water.
We had seven layer bars too! I’d a lot of times make mine five layers instead, though, because I didn’t want nuts or coconuts in mine. Nuts due to texture and again, yucky coconut. 🙂
OMG, Maryse! That means you’ve never had tres leches cake! GAH! That is so good. IHop actually has a tres leches pancake. Mmmmm I can tell you from experience that it’s YUMMY.
You can also take the can, pierce it, and just boil the crap out of it, and boom, you got caramel.
*sighs* Can you tell it’s been a long time since I’ve had sugar? Ironically not that long ago. I had carrot cake at the wedding. My niece is such a sweety and made sure I got my favorite.
Tessa nope! I have never had tres leches cake. It sounds divine!!!!! And I am a huge caramel freak. Love it over and in everything.
Tessa–that reminds me that that’s the recipe for O’Charley’s caramel pie. Boil condensed milk until it’s caramelized and pour into crust. Chill and you’re done! Whipped cream is optional.
Ummmm… *sheepishly raises hand* I eat sweetened condensed milk by the spoonful.
Out of the can. 😳
All these recipes are making me DROOL!
I saw Maryse’s question about Hydraulic on the other post, and I’d like to know the answer as well…does book two end on a CH and will it be okay if the third one never comes out??
Tasha J I made that pie for Easter!! I’ll make them throughout the summer. So easy. So yummy. Hubby loves with peach topping!
Reading Come As You Are by Lauren Blakely. Really cute read so far. The Evergreen series listed has me very curious. First one in series is free and series complete!!! Yep it’s mine.
Now to get ready for anniversary dinner with my guy!! Xoxo
https://tastesbetterfromscratch.com/tres-leches-cake/ This woman made her cake from scratch but you can say screw that and buy a box. The tres leches part is the evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, and milk seeped into the holes to just have pure yummy heaven.
Maryse–no, the Hello Dollies are different:
https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/235142/hello-dolly-bars/
But now I want to make some Nainamo bars. I’ve never even heard of those. Yum! I LOVE anything custard flavored and I really love chocolate ganache!
You guys…speaking of sweetened condensed milk…OMG…
https://atreatsaffair.com/nutella-magic-bars-recipe/
Happy anniversary Linda!!! 😀
Definitely lemon pie.
I will eat something lemon today in your honor to watch My Ahjussi. Disregard I love lemon I’m doing it for you.
And it’s almost over you could catch up..
I’m sorry I love it as long as they land the ending. Don’t you hate when you love a book, movie, or show and they mess up the ending?
Hey ladies, Road-Tripped is FREE right now!
Too bad I already paid for it. *snort*
Whaaaaa? I think I just missed it. I don’t see it free anymore. Waaaaaaaa!!! <--- me crying!
Barnes and Noble or IBooks
Maryse! Here is the free Road-Tripped
https://smile.amazon.com/Road-Tripped-Enemies-Lovers-Romance-Agency-ebook/dp/B01H0Z8LJE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1525535643&sr=8-1&keywords=Road-Tripped
YAY!!! Thank you Tessa! 😀
Amy don’t make your sister cry.
Aha, so BEV is the mom now. *snicker*
Glad Tessa found that link! I was afraid I’d started something I couldn’t back up. 😳
Amy I noticed she was being all mom-like, and I was all… isn’t that JUST like an ornery, independent child? *snort*
I just RE-READ Road-Tripped after reading the entire series. Because I missed the characters and was having a major book hangover. I don’t do this. Ever. Only if it’s a book-club book to refresh my memory months later. It is as good the second time. YOU GALS NEED TO READ IT!!!!!!!! All the way through. It gets better as it goes. So awesome it’s free! That’s a sign. Maybe that means there’s another book in the series coming??? Pulease mean that!
YES, there is another book coming out, Guilt-Tripped. Sooooooooooo damn excited?!?!?!?!? Pre-ordering pronto. xo
Happy saturday! I finished Jock Row. Funny, lighthearted read. Slow-burn. Recommend you read Switch Hitter first. They are standalones, but characters from SW are mentioned in JR.
Now: Six Feet Under
Tulsa
Sidebarred
I’m sorry Marina Maryse can not go on a road trip with you. She is going to be eating pots of ramen with My Ahjussi.
Maybe Amy is free? They’re twins so it’s like the same thing.
OMG if My Ahjussi wants to eat Ramen, I will be My Ahjussi’s ramen queen!!!!!!! Ramen is my absolute favorite ever in the world.
Chicken.
And then all the other flavors almost equal.
With plenty of cottage cheese to melt in the hotness and cool it down a little… and turn it all creamy-like.
🙂
Do you guys still think I’m coooooooooool? <--- (for those that love South Park, you know this part). 😉
Thanks for the tip Cheryl as I wanted to read Jock Row. To me, if characters appear from previous books, its NOT a true standalone.
Leslie, it’s just a quick mention, but still.
Reading Sidebarred. Can I just say more Jake and the kids!!! *sigh*
Yeah I didn’t know about Sidebarred either. I’ve downloaded it – sweet. I loved Sustained. Thank you to the person that mentioned it 😀 Sorry I’ve lost your name. I got lost on all the comments about superrich sweet pies and stuff and have lost the thread. Lost the plot, probably LOL.
Ela you made me laugh with your comment about beards on covers. I know. I totally agree. They’re a bit too mysterious. And maybe a tad unsanitary?????
First day of summer and we should all make one of those desserts.
I really want to read Sustained. The one with all the siblings everyone on here loved right?
Ela and Jan …..you just need to smell the beard like Amy does.
Oh my. Not necessarily My Ahjussi, but many dramas have a ton of ramen. My favorite is the oriental one which I think is being called soy sauce now. But like them all besides shrimp or spicy.
What I’d love to try is Korean bbq.
Even Manny wants you to watch it. R got him drunk on soju one night and he told me. We had a long conversation about it and why he needs to stop going to Texas.
bev.
I would LOVE to try Korean BBQ. I can already imagine the awesomeness.
My list so far:
Dark Queen by Faith Hunter – Made me cry! It really was an emotional battlefield at one point.
The Thief by Megan Whalen Turner – DNF
Into The Darkness by KF Breene – Enjoyable and fun
I still need to read:
Bad Boy Brody by Tijan
(Stopping whatever I’m reading on the seventh is for Atheist Who Kneel and Pray by Tarryn Fisher)
(Also whatever date is At This Moment by Karen Cimms)
Blood Beyond Darkness by Stacey Marie Brown (I forgot a LOT so I’m having to re-read the series again)
Pandora’s Box by Gracen Miller
And must add the library book – An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir. It finally came in! WOOT!
Finished Sidebarred. Quick, sweet read. Now off to see Marvel movie!
bev, you must read Sustained. I think you’d like it. But smelling beards???? Ewwww. Just no.
*shrug*
She wants to know if he ate sandwiches.
Yay!
I’m glad I’m up by 630 on a Sunday!
Said no one ever.
You all are very quiet today.
I’ll whisper.
3 things:
1. My favorite heroine right now(she’s coming to you Maryse)
Because she gets stuff done. Bad stuff but she gets it done.
2. I need to lose weight but I also need ice cream. Dog food too. But mostly ice cream so going to store soon. Just, what flavor?
3. I want to do a buddy read.
Grumpy Fake Boyfriend comes out on the 22nd. I know nothing about it except the title. Jan, Leslie, and Cheryl? Wanna?
*whispers to bev* It IS quiet today…where is everyone?
I’ve been enjoying the glorious weather we are having here. As much as I love the rain, I also love an occasional sunny, warm day with a perfect breeze.
bev…this ice cream is amazing. Yeah, it’s not full-fat and full-calorie ice cream (which, let’s be honest, is the BEST) but it is an incredible substitute when you’re trying to lose weight. *looks at backside in mirror* Which I most definitely am trying to do right now.
https://www.halotop.com/flavors/
I’ve tried several flavors and holy moly…
1. Lazy today in bed reading Tulsa.
2. Now trying to convince myself to go for a run, but ice cream sounds better.
3. This BR Bev, it’s book1; is it a standalone?
1. I partied like a rock star this weekend but I am not recovering like one.
2. I woke up this morning and said I’m never eating again and so far I’ve had a meatball sandwich, leftover potato salad, a chicken fajita, and I’m eying the chocolate peanut butter cookie dough ice cream in the freezer.
3.I’ve fallen down the #cockygate rabbit hole and can’t seem to climb out.
R. I always do that in the “never eating again thing…
end up devouring. *sigh*
P.S. Your food pity-party sounds awesome. 😀 Especially the meatball sammich and potato salad.
Wow. Those ice creams are really low in sugar. 0.0
1. I’m having to re-read this series and I am not in the mood. I’m on book two and want to read Co-Ed. 🙂
2. Framing costs too much. I need to just make a frame for my Harry Potter Wand from Ollivander I bought at Universal Studios that I got last year.
3. My Bluetooth headphones broke. *Sighs* So, I ordered a new pair. Until then, my old one works but has duct tape to keep the two pieces together on one side.
I think each is about a different sister.
I know nothing of the author or how the book will be , I just like the title, lol.
Cheryl, is that a western?
Ok, I’m trying chocolate. Will it be as good as
https://www.tillamook.com/products/ice-cream/super-premium/tcho-double-dark-chocolate-farmstyle-gelato.html
Probably not. But I’m sure will scratch the itch.
R, I’m not even sure Rock stars party like rockstars anymore.
Funny enough Bev, Tulsa is about a rock star. His parents named their kids based on where they were conceived. Brothers: Jet, Rivers, Tulsa. :>
bev, I would consider trying that book. Maybe do a reminder when it’s closer to the release date?
Cheryl (and everyone who’s reading it) how are you finding Tulsa? I like a decent rockstar romance, but the goodies are few and far between :/
Jan, I enjoyed it. Two books in the series so far; Spark and Tulsa. Each are standalones, but are inter-related because of the brothers. Also has the Resistance band members from the Resistance series in it too. Not much angst, but good stories and sweet. Bonus that they are KU too.
OK thanks Cheryl. I might check them out.
I was recently reminded of how much I love the name St. John. First time I heard it (volleyball player) I was in grade school, I think. I still think it is a great name though it took years to realize that was the same name I was reading in books, lol.
So if we ever have another blog baby or I ever get another puppy….
Lol, I still have a list of names I’m adding to. I have to see him first and all that, but St. John would be cool for another blog baby (not mine ;)) or a blog doggy!
I wish I had some of bev’s Pioneer Woman coffee.
How much longer Tasha?
I bought iced coffee and caramel creamer….the natural One? Coffee Mate? Drank it all weekend.
Erm…18 in all.
I have been wanting that coffee too! I made my husband bring me a Starbucks iced coffee today though. I hadn’t been able to stomach much the past couple days. I need to stock up on some evaporated milk.
bev, I just saw your post. Too funny. Every time I see your posts about My Ahjussi I think I have to look into that. Is it on Netflix?
Reading and really liking Ride. Very angsty.
I don’t think so. I’m watching on Drama Fever.
Yeah, kinda obsessed.
Poor Maryse…
I decided to start that “never eating again” thing tomorrow now that I finished off the ice cream! 😀
I’ve been following maryse’s blog for several years. It’s my go to when I’m so for something to read. I saw the posts about Jewel Ann’s Transend. This book is amazing!!! I could not put it down until I was finished. I’ve got Epoch loaded up and ready to read, but I had to Say something about it first. I enjoyed it that much. I love supernatural, Urban fantasy type books. Not your typical romance stories. I was looking for my next read and this one caught my eye as Maryse’s Aprin favorite. It wasn’t exactly what I was looking for, but was the premise was intriguing. I am so glad I gave it a chance! I laughed, I cried, and I could not put it down. I will definitely be looking at other books by jewel Ann.
