I love today, ’cause it’s my own personal “treasure hunt”. I gather the newest adamant reader recommendations, plus I get to scour through many of the “new-to-me” recent releases that I missed, reading blurb after blurb, looking for that *jolt*. 😉 And YAY US!! I think found us a bunch! I listed these below, ’cause they sound like they have that *oomph* potential. Some gave me serious blurb jolts, and all sound right up our alley.
From escorts, to recluses, forbidden love to good ol’ angsty romance. From potentially evil husbands to “anti prince-charmings”. From bad boys to “bad guys”. From military/police heroes to creepy obsessive kidnappers. From psychological thrillers to heartwarming tearjerkers, they are all here, they all involve a “love” story, and we can pick and choose to our hearts delight.
Like Because of You (great author, great reviews, and he’s a damaged military hero). <— MINE! The Good Girl (that creepy blurb made me *eeeeeep!!!*), Lost In Me (she has amnesia, and two men with secrets), Love’s Forbidden Flower (although I’m scared like I was with Forbidden…) 
and quite a few more. I noted ’em, below.
But what’s next for me? EASY! Stolen Course (Wrecked and Ruined #2) from my sexy alpha-cop (but emotionally damaged) duo crush. I can’t *yet* choose between my love for Brett or Caleb, but one thing’s for sure. These angsty and unique stories (well at least book #1 so far) feel SO real, and I am so attached to every one of these characters. And now I’m off to read. YAY ME!!!

Super-bargain priced, it’s book #1 in a series (book #2 just came out, but both can be read as standalones) and I LOVED IT!!!! Unique, angsty, and I adored the characters (even the best friends!!). Kandace: Sale! Transcedence by Shay Savage is on sale this weekend. I read it and really enjoyed it. I know it sounds crazy because it’s about a caveman but honestly it really worked. The ending was AMAZING! The entire story is told from his POV. One of the reasons why I really enjoy Shay’s stories is because of the way she writes her men. I truly enjoy being in her boys head. - Because of You: A Loveswept Contemporary Military Romance (Coming Home) by Jessica Scott <—- I totally just one-clicked this one. I just can’t resist a military hero when the blurb promises this kind of potential “…meeting Jen St. James the night before his latest deployment makes Shane wonder if there’s more to life than war. - These Men by Andrea Smith <— Aimee found us this deal (it was a part of the Bend Anthology – but now released on it’s own) and Kandace says: “This is Paige’s story. I really enjoyed it. It’s a shorter story but I liked it.”

Against the Cage: Worth the Fight Series by Sidney Halston <— I am absolutely reading this one!! I keep hearing AWESOME things by the early readers and I know I’m gonna love it. MMA fighter, romance, steam and funny to boot! YAY ME!!! Elizabeth says: ” Best fighter book Ive read! Highly recommend it” and Stephanie says: “I LOVED Against the Cage. It was funny as hell but really sweet and sexy. I think you’ll really like it, especially since you (like me) love MMA. Loved that it didn’t leave me in a love/angst hangover. I finished…happy.” and Kelly says: “WOW. I am in love with Jack. *Swoon*. The book was so funny (especially the beginning) but more than that had some nail biting moments and most of all…had some awesome smexy scenes. And, since I am totally into MMA right now, it was right up my ally. I love that it was adult and not YA/NA. No no no, Tessa, you don’t get Tristan. You’re going to get a James Cavendish clone (like mine 😉 ). He’s Tristan’s buddy from the Up In the Air series, and James is definitely a Dom. I don’t remember either if Tristan was a Dom, but I’m leaning towards not really. I miss him and Danika. *sigh*
And oh, do I remember Raw. He was a bad, bad boy. *snicker* I’m probably in the minority, but I thought it ended perfectly for the kind of story it was without the need for a sequel. *ducking from the molotov/tampon cocktails*

Exactly! I forgot to mention, I read Love’s Forbidden Flower around the time you guys were reading Forbidden (I had already been gutted by it…I mean, read it before), and LFF for me just *did not* have the same feel as Forbidden for many reasons. It’s not that LFF was not good, it just left me feeling more ewww rather than sympathetic for the characters. I’m not saying don’t read it! Just go in knowing you might not get the same feels as Forbidden.
Okay, back to Quinton & Nova…told ya my book Dom is keeping me in line with my TBR list. 😉

You just about have me sold on Changing Course, though I was thinking about Loving Mr. Daniels or Mid Life Love- I like that the heroine is not high school or college aged. Just not sure if the story concludes in book 2. I don’t know why I’m putting off reading Mr. Daniels- I guess it’s the age of the heroine?!

The COVER of Sharing Hailey makes ME blush, Maryse. There was a similar book I read last week in one of the just released anthologies…..a girl & her 2 gay roommates (they are a couple) & she ends up in love with both of them & they both love her…..some REALLY intense sex scenes….& they become a happy threesome.
Ok,ok I’ll read Loving Mr. Daniels, but then I have to be good and stick to my TBR list. Problem is I liked the books when I one-clicked them or I couldn’t pass up the good deal, but then the bright, shiny new books come out and I toss the TBR list aside or I read one of your book recs and have to read that book now. Read The Good Girl, by Lily White and Dawn Robertson. Whoa. Just whoa. Very dark. One I couldn’t put down either. I was taking it to the bathroom with me, reading while I was cooking Father’s Day lunch, etc… you get the idea! A little disappointed at the end, because I felt like it wrapped too quickly, if that makes sense. The book had a nice even keel pace, and then I kind of felt cheated that it wrapped up so abruptly. Of course, that could just be me…sad that it was over! Anyway, great book.
