<— SUPER-BARGAIN ALERT!! The Darkness Within (Etherya’s Earth Book 3) is on sale today and the author is celebrating by sponsoring today’s newsletter, she’s sent over a Five Fun Facts about the book AND she’s having a giveaway INCLUDING a gift card!! 😀
About her series, the author says:
…best read in order, so that the reader can enjoy the evolution of the characters…
…however, readers of romance rest assured that each book has its own featured hero/heroine and HEA.
AND OMG THESE FUN FACTS! The very first one had me squeeeeeeing. I love falling for an anti-hero and I thrill over all the difficulties that presents. Especially one like my beloved dark and moody Zsadist (my absolute favorite of them all) and guess what??? He’s one of the inspirations for the Hero in The Darkness Within. YAY US!!
5 Fun Facts About The Darkness Within:
1.) The main character, Darkrip, was inspired by my love of slightly wicked, reformed anti-heroes like Sebastian, Lord St. Vincent from Devil in Winter, Zsadist from Lover Awakened and Cian from Valley of Silence.
2.) I’m a huge JR Ward, Nora Roberts and Lisa Kleypas fan so readers of their books will probably enjoy the Etherya’s Earth series
3.) I like to make up names for my characters (that’s why writing new worlds is so fun!). I made up Darkrip and Arderin’s name when I wrote the first book in the series because I knew they’d eventually end up together and liked how the names sounded together when spoken aloud.
4.) Arderin is a huge reality TV fan, which drives Darkrip crazy. Her love mirrors my own, as I’m obsessed with anything Bravo related.
5.) This is a tiny spoiler but let’s just say that Arderin and Darkrip *might* have a daughter and her book is the one I’m writing now! I’m hoping to release it in early spring of 2021!

About the author:
Rebecca Hefner grew up in Western NC and now calls the Hudson River of NYC home. In her youth she would sneak into her mother’s bedroom and raid the bookshelf, falling in love with the stories of Judith McNaught, Sandra Brown and Nora Roberts. Years later that love of a good romance, with lots of great characters and conflicts, has extended to her other favorite authors such as JR Ward and Lisa Kleypas.
Also a huge Game of Thrones and Star Wars fan, she loves an epic fantasy and a surprise twist (Luke, he IS your father). One day, over a decade ago, she began writing her own stories and recently mustered the courage to leave her corporate medical device sales job and become a full-time author.

I love Humphrey Bogart in Casablanca, I think hes a great anti-hero in that. Ive not heard of this series before but i went and read more about it and it sounds good, plus i LOVE Cian from Nora Roberts Circle Trilogy. Thanks and Merry Christmas to all!!
I would have to say Zsadist in J.R. Wards Lover Awakened or Knight by Kristen Ashley is my favorite antihero book. I’ve not read very many antihero books. Mary’s, this could be your next book list. That way I would get great suggestions. 😉
