Okay so it’s not just “sales” but every book on here IS bargain priced. We’ve got some great looking new releases from this weekend too, so I thought I’d compile us a little “early” list. 😉
- Holding On (Lights of Peril Book 1) by A.C. Bextor <— Been hearing that this is one of the best MC/Biker series ever (and have some serious book addicts recommend it to me all the time!) Stephanie just found out that they’re on sale! “Books #1 & #2 are on sale Each for a limited time! This MC Series has great reviews and ratings. Check it out!”
- The Way Home (Lights of Peril Book 2) by A.C. Bextor <— (and while I’m at it, here is the Lights of Peril Series Reading Order)
- Let Love Be (The Love Series Book 4) by Melissa Collins <—- and while it is book #4 in the series, it can be read as a standalone! Her husband died in an accident… “Eighteen years after losing her first and only love, Lucy is faced with the opportunity to find the happiness for which she’s always longed. Her own fears become her worst enemies as she learns how to embrace love once again.“
- The Devil’s Contract (Contracts & Deceptions Book 1) by Claire Contreras <— Stephanie found out this one today! Ohh that blurb! “He gave them a choice. She took it. He made her promise two years. She should have known there was a catch.“
- God Shaped Hole: A Novel by Tiffanie DeBartolo <— She wrote one of my all-time FAVORITE books, and now this one’s on sale too! It’s on my main TBR list and I know it’s going to blow me away… Marina LOVED it: “I’ve said it before on your site… love Tifannie’s writing. LOVE. I’ll read anything she writes and hoping there will be more!!!” and Suzanne says: “It is awesome! You will not regret one clicking!”
- Knight (The Unfinished Hero Series) by Kristen Ashley <— Michelle points out that the first 3 in this series are still on sale, saying: “Knight, Creed and Raid!!! If you are in the mood for Kristen Ashley HEAVY then grab these. These men are her alpha men but with EXTRA testosterone. Unfinished heroes series.“
- Creed (Unfinished Heroes) by Kristen Ashley <—
- Raid (Unfinished Heroes) by Kristen Ashley <—
- Trashy (Take It Off Book 10) by Cambria Hebert <— JUST RELEASED!! Each book can be read as a standalone… Here’s a bit from the blurb: “I moved out. I’m saving my stripper’s salary for an education that will get me somewhere better. But breaking the chains of a shitty past isn’t easy. He says I owe him. He says we aren’t done. I don’t care what he says anymore. I do care about Adam. But my history tells me I’m not the best judge of men. And the fact Adam’s been married four times tells me he probably isn’t a safe choice…” Here’s the Take It Off Series Reading Order (although they are ALL standalones).
- Finding Ours (A Finding Series Novella) by Megan Smith <— JUST RELEASED!
- Inevitable Detour (Inevitability Book 1) by S.R. Grey <— JUST RELEASED!! Okay this sounds good!! “Enter Farren Shaw. Not only is he older and intimidating, but he’s more sure of himself than any 29-year-old man has a right to be. Did I mention that he’s drop-dead gorgeous? Well, he is. He also happens to be my best friend Haven’s brother.” <— And then her best friend goes missing…
- Reclaiming the Sand by Meredith Walters <— And here’s a bargain-priced reader recommendation. Oh yessss! I remember this blurb (she’s the bully and he’s the victim…) and then they meet again later on in life… Kandace loved it, saying: “Reclaiming the Sand by Meredith Walters was such a gem. I am so happy I finally listened to Nancy and read it. It was a truly unique story. I just adored Flynn. He had such a beautiful and loyal soul.“
- The Fiery Cross (Outlander Book 5) by Diana Gabaldon <— on sale today!!! These must be read in order (one of my fav series ever) so here is the Outlander Series Reading Order.
- Man of My Dreams by Faith Andrews <— Jennifer just sent me this add-on! “Missed one. Man of My Dreams by Faith Andrews is on sale for 99 cents ” From the blurb, she and her husband are separated… she goes to her high school reunion and “Although her heart still belongs to her husband, inescapable thoughts of her crush, Noah, resurface. And ten years later, Noah isn’t afraid to make his move.” BUT!! Her husband is still around… “Mia is his one and only and he’s not about to let another man win her heart.”
I really liked Lights of Peril MC books. They will break your heart, though! One of the better in this genre, I’d say!
Thanks Michelle!! I’m going to one-click ’em! 😀
I’m one-clicking too!
Lol, heartbreak so everyone is one clicking.
Um…yeah… Did I mention how tragic Written in Red is? Right Michelle S? Total sob fest, Fabi is so mad.
And …um…that’s where Amy is now…yeah she’s crying. Tragic, heart breaking book.
Really everyone who likes that should one click, Maryse.
Oh god WiR will break your heart – you will need an army of manatees to get through this one…
*holding snicker in*
bev, Michelle !!! I’m at just over 50% so you better quit that if you expect me to finish it. I’ve been experiencing sympathy pain from those who read Bright Side (deceiving little title btw).
btw, Meg is so smart! I love how she handles everyone. I wish I had that kind of personality. When I grow up, I wanna be just like her. (Oh, wait, I think she’s almost young enough to be my daughter, oops). Well, “when I grow older” I wanna be just like her.
Sorry Fabi that Michelle and didn’t tell you about that twist. You know the one that leaves you just gasping in shock and pain. Man your head must hurt from all that sobbing. * spastically winks at Michelle and Fabi*
Alright Bev, at the first sign of pain I’m running. I’m already hurting from these ladies reading Bright Side. (to clarify, I mean emotional pain, physical pain doesn’t scare me, so tear ’em and rip ’em away). <— scary woman huh?
Aww Bev we are mean, now Fabi is going to swear of WiR lol. Ignore us Fabi we are just trying to get people to one click if heartache is what is floating everyone’s boat.
Noooo amazon…I clicked The Way Home first for .99 and went to click the first book and it’s coming up for 2.99 now ;o
Fabi it is such a bonus for me if I like the heroine and root unconditionally for her.
Ai am so glad that I am starting The Thief by Tarryn Fisher so I don’t have decide on all these new books. Dirty Red had a few surprises! Really enjoying this series.
You guys are SOOOOO easy. Just say “heartbreak” and click-click-click! (I’m just as bad. If I read a review and it says it was gut-wrenching and achingly beautiful and loads of crap like that then I am usually following the herd….. MOO…..).
I’ll play along with the WiR sell: the pain! the sorrow! I can’t take it. Needed oodles of Kleenex! My stomach is still in knots!
Did anyone actually read Rule, BTW? I said based on THAT list it would be my pick, because I actually liked it. Not that it was the best thing since sliced bread.
That’s It. I’m forking out the 10.99 and buying Murder of Crows.
I’m reading Rule and I like it!
I have a few descriptions that make me one click especially in this genre. A slow burn, a good grovel scene, likable heroine, flawed hero, etc.
I just watched the first season of Arrow based on descriptions of the Oliver/Felicity ship.
Tracy that is good to know they are in my tbr. I’ve been hesitant about them.
I went completely off script and went for “Half Blood” – Covenant #1 based on the snippets between Amy and “the other Michelle”…. and I am LOVING it. I don’t care if it’s labeled YA or teen or whatever. It’s awesome. I love the heroine and all the guys so far are hot. Cool premise too. It’s pretty predictable with the set-ups ( halfs can’t be with pures so you know that’s inevitable, and other such scenarios) but still really good.
Michelle S it was a good read. Loved the Caleb friendship. Hrmm that was part of a book swap, need to ask Amy if she finished WIR.
Oh Bev – you should definitely read The Opportunist, Dirty Red, and The Thief. They don’t disappoint!!
Just finished Fate Book. I concur with Michelle… It was stocked full of good stuff. Ok, so if you guys like this book then I think you guys will like “Hush” by Maree Green (I think I mentioned previously). Fate Book was lighter, but similar kind of feel.
Andee – I just looked it up and it’s only .99 – so I am going to one-click it if it has a similar feel to Fate Book. The first one sounds good too – did you read that one?
And since it’s on your list up there, I have to say that it was painful getting through The Fiery Cross – that was the one the size of a shoe-box (1400+ pages) and I read it as a book (so I think I got tendonitis). And it was the one that had that 200 page wedding scene, didn’t it? Suffice it to say, it was NOT a re-read for me. (Still love Outlander and Jamie will always be my number one book husband so no tomato throwing please).
JAMIE!!!!! LOVE HIM! Except when he was in the bathtub… Then I was furious. 😉
I haven’t read the first one, but I plan to. I really liked Hush. Let us know what you think once you get to it!
MichelleS I am so jealous of you reading Half Blood. 🙂
Maryse – it was the “beating” for me that made me furious – I forgave him, but I’ll never forget that scene. It should be coming up soon in the series. Maybe even next week? Are you watching it on STARZ? Love who they picked for Claire. Not so much with Jamie. He smirks too much.
I’m behind on the episodes but I have to disagree with the characters. I really like Jamie but Clare looks a bit old for the role. Wasn’t he late teens or early 20s and she just a handful of years older?
bathtub? you must be referencing Fiery Cross? All I can think of is the Hot Springs (wow, a scene I have to admit I revisit repeatedly) I’m 1/4 through book 2. Quite a ways to go but absolutely love Outlander. And the series is awesome! I think the casting is quite perfect.
Love Outlander and think I know which scene you’re talking about Maryse. Was it after his night out with the “prince” in France??
On a different note, has anyone read Nothing Left to Lose? (it was on your Sept. 5 list) The blurb sounds good- murder, kidnapping, pretend undercover SWAT boyfriend…
I found a great series by Sarina Bowen and the first book “The Year We Fell Down is on sale for .99 cents. Just went through her entire catalog of books this weekend. This is a new adult series and she has another series about skiers. Highly, highly recommend!
Hey everyone, I need the name of the authors for these recommendations. Rule? Fate book? Etc. can’t find them and I need to read badly.
Hi Christina!
Those books are listed (and linked up to Amazon) on this post: https://www.maryse.net/news/bargain-and-freebie-ebooks/latest-bargain-e-books-september-5th-2014.html
I hope that helps!
Thanks Kirstyn! I read book #1 and it was great!!
YES Cheryl! ROAR!!!!!!! 😉
Oh yeah that beating scene was bad, too… so many unforgettable scenes in that series (or at least the ones I’ve read so far). LOVE!!!!!
I personally LOVE both the actors they chose for the Outlander series. It’s as if they took them right out of my head. Perfection for me…
Only read the first Outlander book. Been so long I’ll have to use the show to refresh. I have yet to watch it but have seen so many love it.
Only 30% in All of You. I’m going to have to pick up my reading pace to be ready for Rock Addiction.
Cheryl – I read Nothing Left to Lose last week and really enjoyed it. The beginning shocked me since it really jumps into the story right off. There are great moments and I loved the ending. My only complaint was that it was very drawn out in parts during the middle of the book, however, I still really recommend it.
I agree Maryse that both actors for the Outlander series are great. I’m drooling over the actor for Jaime especially – he is perfect! The only thing I wished for Claire, which may seem stupid but it made her unique in my mind, was her eye color described in the books. It would be cool if they gave her the golden hawk eyes with contacts.
I started Nothing Left to Lose, but still have yet to finish it. The beginning is really good, but I keep picking it up when it doesn’t fit my mood. I think Michelle liked it. ( think?)
Thanks Michelle and Tessa. Think I will read it, although I want to read Rock Addiction that comes out tomorrow. Hmmm…
How many are jumping on Rock Addiction tomorrow? I’m soooo tempted. It’s not part of a continued series is it? I wonder if I can finish WiR tonight? I stayed up till almost 3 am reading and my alarm goes off at 5. I dont know how many times I hit snooze. Lol But that means I’m too tired to do anything else tonight, so I could curl up on the couch and read to my hearts content. I love Meg, she is so awesome. The things she says under her breath always have me gaffawing out loud. Yeah the ugly unexpected laugh you can’t help. I really hope no one eats her.
Not me, Fabi. I am enjoying the Covenant Series too much. I don’t care if they call it “teen” or YA (which is why I avoided it) – it has more steam than many adult novels. You don’t always need pure smut. Sometimes good old fashioned crushes work better. And the paranormal storyline is really good. Different. Interesting. Not going to squirrel away from this one, I don’t think.
” I really hope no one eats her”-this made me guffaw.
That was the plan but may see how far I am in present read. Wouldn’t be able to start until evening, so will see. Maybe Wed.
Yeah MichelleS, many (most) of the YAs I read are as steamy if not more So than the adult ones. Maybe not quite as descriptive, But most of us females don’t need the visuals all the time. We have awesome imaginations! 🙂
Bev I love Meg. I don’t want to leave her. lol I love the big bad wolf too even if he does huff and puff and nearly blow her house down sometimes. He’s still lovable because he’s so clueless (typical guy wolf)
Oh and thanks for the spelling correction. I knew it was wrong but didn’t know how to fix it. Auto correct does everything except correct actual errors.
Ok, if I hear of a group diving into Rock Star, I’ll probably take the plunge too. But, in the meantime, I’m going back to marvel at how well little Meg handles the big bad and scaries all around her.
Rick Star = Rock Addiction.
I’ll tell you my name in a sec. Just let me remember it first. Soooo tired. Lol
