So… the last 2 weeks appear to be HUGE winners, new-release wise, ’cause there are some new ones that are rocking worlds! Couldn’t figure out which one to choose? Maybe this’ll help! Of course, tomorrow is the main “reader recommendation” day, so these will appear once again on that list, but I couldn’t help but highlight a few today. π
- Manwhore (The Manwhore Series)Β by Katy Evans is making girls swoon everywhere. Neika is loving it!! “Only 53% in Manwhore by Miss Katy Evans, and adoring it. The writing, the details…the manwhore WOW! Reading really really slooooooowwwwwlllllllllyyyyyyyy” and Jenn agrees: “I have to say, I was a HUGE Remi fan but Malcolm Saint just knocked him out!! Manwhore- one of my fav books so far this year!!” P.S. Here is the pre-order for #2 and it is moving up in the charts so that would indicate that everyone is wanting more! —>Β Manwhore +1 (The Manwhore Series). In fact… Chelli just commented: “Just finished it..couldn’t put it down…Sooo good!! Can’t wait for the next one!!”
Fisher’s LightΒ by Tara Sivec <— THIS is my next read. LIKE TONIGHT. It is so high up in the charts right now and breaking hearts. βI was still here, holding my breath, waiting for you to come back even though you told me you never would. You always said youβd find your way back to me. Out of all the lies youβve told me, this one hurts the mostβ¦βΒ <β *sob*Β And with a blurb like that, my heart is ALREADY broken. YAY ME!! And Nancy says: “I am reading & loving Fisher’s Light by Tara Sivec (Epic Love Story)” and Amy agrees: “Iβm 20% in and I think Fisher just squeezed the life out of MY heart. Iβm literally crying for Lucy right now. Shouldnβt have picked it up until *after* I finished my work for the dayβ¦how am I supposed to work now??” and Jenn agrees too: “Amy- fishers light!!! So good. Have neglected the housework all day to read! Almost finished!!”
- Deep Blue EternityΒ by Natasha Boyd <— This one was just released this morning so reviews are still coming in (Margaret says: “Reading this now just wow it’s so good”). And the author tells us it’s about forbidden love!!! She says: “There’s nothing like a forbidden romance, someone you shouldn’t fall in love with, and a relationship that teaches you about love and forgiveness. Throw in a huge dash of sexual tension and denial and you have just a hint of what awaits you in DEEP BLUE ETERNITY.” FOR ME!!! From the blurb? She’s on the run, finds a cottage, HE’S hiding in but… “When the truth emerges, hearts will be shattered.” P.S. This was released at a rock-bottom price!!!!
- RevvedΒ by Samantha Towle <— BAD BOY RACE CAR DRIVER!Β Cheryl says: “I just finished reading Revved and I LOVED it!! It has that feel. Good thing I didnβt have to work today, because it was hard to put down. Carrick is the bad boy that you love. Only negative is I wanted to slap the h, Andi a couple times. Got me out of my book rut!!” and then she tells Amy (up there) that… “Amy, Iβm at about 40% of Fisherβs Light and enjoying it. Has been sad, and close to tears, but honestly the prologue of Revved affected me more. *so far*” <— WHOA.
- Wild RecklessΒ by Ginger Scott <— released last week and I loved it!! In fact so many of us did (and here’s my review). and Shell says: “Loved loved loved this book. Got a crush on Owenβ¦. Sigh sigh !!!!“
The Longest RideΒ by Nicholas Sparks <— Okay I’m totally cheating!!! LOL! This one is NOT a new release, BUT!! The movie will be out in just a few days, and this book? It’s in the top 10 books on the Amazon’s charts right now. I mean top 10 in ALL of Amazon’s books… WOW! Jamie says: “I’m currently reading Nicholas Sparks new book “TheΒ LongestΒ Ride” and so far so good. ” <—Β He’s a bull rider… βA few miles away, at a local bull-riding event, a Wake Forest College seniorβs life is about to change. Recovering from a recent break-up, Sophia Danko meets a young cowboy named Luke, who bears little resemblance to the privileged frat boys she has encountered at school. Through Luke, Sophia is introduced to a world in which the stakes of survival and success, ruin and reward β even life and death β loom large in everyday life. As she and Luke fall in love, Sophia finds herself imagining a future far removed from her plans β a future that Luke has the power to rewrite . . . if the secret heβs keeping doesnβt destroy it first.β This sounds AH-MAZING!!!!! P.S. Check out this contest that I’m having for this movie!!!
Loved Wild Reckless. I’m currently reading Revved and while it’s good, it’s not 5 star good for me. I’m not overly invested in the characters and i think it’s because i’m being told too much of what happened instead of living it and experiencing it with them. Still good enough to finish thouh. I think i’ll start Deep Blue Eterenity next.
I loved Manwhore!! It is going to be really difficult to wait until July!! Revved was another one I didn’t want to put down.
Thank you for the update on that one Jaime. Deep Blue or Fisher for me next…
Awesome Susan!!! I love the varying degrees of book love! π
Deep Blue Eternity…that blurb and that cover!!!! *sigh* And I just committed myself to Push and Pull…I think I sense a squirrel…
Fisher for me, i work with people with head injuries and PTSD as a physical therapist, super important topic, the most destructive injuries are the ones you can’t see, i love that she wrote about this
Hmmmmm…. I am going to hold off on Manwhore until I hear from you, Maryse. While I love, love, loved “Real”…. “Rogue” was a DNF for me. So before I pay 8 bucks, I will wait to hear your review! Are you going to read it?
MichelleS I intend to (I mean it’s getting a ton of love and book #2’s preorder just skyrocketed up the Amazon charts so that must mean something big!), but first I’m deciding between Deep Blue and Fisher.
Fisher is making me squirrelly too….. I just started Master of Crows and it is confusing and wordy – so it won’t take much to pull me away! I can always read that one later (no will power).
OK I’ve one clicked 1-5!!!! I’m reading Soaring right now and loving it!!! But then I get distracted with all these other great sounding reads and feel like I’m constantly chasing my tail!!! *ugh* I’m also trying to show discipline and only read a series when it’s complete but I think that stupid “Manwhore” Saint is going to best me!!! Damn him!!! Life is sooo hard!!
Blew threw Revved – hard to put down and he sorta reminded me of Kellan Kyle??… It sounds opposite of Fisher’s Light type of story so when you’re ready to get back to the “bad boy’s”(lol) you should give this one a try. If you liked Jake Weathers in her Storm series then you’ll definitely like this one.
Oops. I meant “blew through”…had to correct that:)
LOL Linda!!!! I love your “Life is sooo hard!!” comment. Stupid having too many choices problems! π LOL!!!!!
Yep…what Diane said about PTSD. π
I read Revved and Fisher’s Light. Enjoyed both for very different reasons. Fisher is very feely, really emotional. Revved is lighter for sure. Both good reads though.
After I finish Fisher’s Light, think I’ll read either Deep Blue Eternity or Wild Reckless!!
I’m at 20% of Manwhore and feeling a little breathless. π
could anyone tell me if The Longest Ride has a HEA? It’s just that I don’t trust Mr Sparks and have still not recovered from the ending of Dear John!
Fabi, breathless in a good way?? π
Does Nicholas Sparks books ever have a HEA? I got frustrated reading them because someone always died at the end.
Yeah, sort of. It reminds me too much of Fifty Shades so even though I don’t know anything about it – I haven’t even read the blurb – I keep expecting some dark reveal. Even so, I’m already completely fascinated with Malcolm Saint.
Deep Blue Eternity sounds exactly like my thing. My expectations are high. I hope it’s good!!
Oh, does anyone know if Deep Blue Eternity and Fisher’s Light are both standalone?
Kay, I’m just starting Deep Blue Eternity so I don’t know about that one yet, but Fisher’s Light is a standalone and sooooo good! π
Grrrrr!!! I just finished Manwhore!! Did it really end like that, leaving me hanging until…..July!!!!! OMG!!! What an amazing book!!! I can’t wait for the next one. Now what!!!! Katy Evans, hurry up and get the next one out!!! Hot hot hot!!! I really think I get why some wait till the whole series is out before they start reading book 1!!!! What is going to cure this terrible book hangover I’ve just got!!!
Thanks, Amy. I just one-clicked Deep Blue Eternity so I guess I’m already committed! LOL! It sounds so good it might bump my current read to next in line! Fisher’s Light is oh so tempting too… I need a second brain so I can read more books.
Just finished Wild Reckless. I am now crushing on Owen. Great book!
So I’ve had a bit of a book binge this week…while I don’t comment often, I read this blog all the time and feel like I ‘know’ you all!
I read Manwhore by Katy Evans (ack, have to wait til July… *cries*);
Deep Blue Eternity by Natasha Boyd, (couldn’t put it down, although I felt the ending was kind of abrupt, there was this huge build, then the wrap-up was just too short for me);
Rock by Kendall Grey; dirrrrrty! Loved it! This was strictly a fun read for me, cover my mouth at times and think, naughty naughty *giggles*.
After Dark by M. Pierce; sad this series is over! It was a good finale as far as finales go, I enjoyed the first book of this series the best though.
Oops, I cut off my own comment!
I also read Wild Reckless by Ginger Scott, this one, I couldn’t put down, I stayed up all night reading. Owen…the feels! Loved him and Kensi!
I squirreled a couple, Fisher’s Light, Revved, Captive & Kulti are waiting for me….
I just started an older book… Bang by EK Blair… so far it’s giving me those dark & twisty feels (a la Pepper Winters and Aleatha Romig)
Anxiously awaiting Tuesday and The Virgin by Tiffany Reisz! The Shadows by JR Ward and Deep by Kylie Scott!
Wow Grey, you read all of those last week? I am still so jealous of people who can read so fast. Unless I’m not working or doing anything else, I only average 2-3 books/week so I always have a huge backlog of books I want to read.
Grey! I’m so happy you’re jumping in and chatting with us! π And I am impressed…that many books in a week?? *sigh* We’ll get there again someday, Cheryl. π
I did… however, I should preface that by saying that I didn’t sleep much and my kids didn’t have any sporting events this week, and I was stuck in the car for 5 hours haha! This week ahead is actually spring break, so I’m hoping that I’ll be able to read a bit more! Normally, I get a book or two a week max!
