HAPPY NEW RELEASE TUESDAY!!!! Quite a few of our big huge favorites just had new book releases over the last 24 hours (like that one there to the left).  ;) Christina Lauren, J.R. Ward, Jewel E. Ann, Penelope Ward & Vi Keeland, Shay Savage, J.A. Huss and more!

Annnnnnd… we’re currently having an “Epoch buddy read” with one of ‘em!!! Tee hee. See what I did there? We’re SO into the Transcend duet (love triangle and it’s now complete!!!):

Jean: I’m half way through Epoch! Love this duet! Love, love, love Griffin! I flew through Transcend!

Robyn: I Transcended, now I’m Epoching! What the heck does Epoch mean anyway? Seriously, it’s really bugging me. ***scratches head***

MichelleS: Crazy Swayze…. I love all her weirdness. The name thing is so her. And Griffin?!?!? Rawr. Triangles drive me absolutely batty, but I loved it.

Kooloo: That cliffy at the end of Transcend almost killed me!

Amy: Amy: Nate has my heart. Griffin is amazing. Both of them together in one book is bliss. *silently begs author not to hurt my heart too much*

Maryse: Oh yeah!! And we’re having a signed set giveaway, <— so comment on that post to enter.

Don’t forget to check out yesterday’s ➔ Monday Earlybird Book Releases list <— Not a ton of earlybirds, but TWO of ‘em are making our heads spin with excitement!!! ;)

Ashley: I JUST finished Transcend and … oh. my. goodness! I’m going to be at work all day tomorrow thinking about it and waiting until I can read Epoch. This is one of those books where you don’t realized you’ve stopped breathing. It just grabs you and pulls you right in. I couldn’t put it down! THIS is why I love books.

MichelleS: Finished Transcend. Just WOW. Going straight into Epoch. Blind. Didn’t even read your blurb up there!

Kandace: I’m so excited for the second Jewel E Ann book. I’ve been on a reading high this week.

  • Ride by Harper Dallas <— Kandace LOVED it!

Kandace: I read Ride by Harper Dallas yesterday. I stayed up to 3 AM reading because I couldn’t stop reading. I was so captivated by their story. The secondary characters were amazing. I hope they get their own books. I really thought this was going to be a typical sports romance trope. The story was a lot more emotional than I was expecting. I can’t believe this the author’s debut novel. I felt like I was on the slopes with the team!!

Ali: Omg the Boy and His Ribbon! I bawled you guys. It’s not the usual dark read Pepper Winters puts out, but it’s so so much feels. My heart couldn’t take it, book 2 I need you ASAP! This will definitely be in my top 10 reads this year already.
Jen C: It’s A Place in the Sun by R.S. Grey – I’m reading this one at the moment (80% in). And it’s a Bed and Breakfast, not a diner! IT’S SO GOOD. This author has totally become a must read for me, I’m just going through some of her back catalogue whenever I’m in the mood for a RomCom.

Tricked and betrayed, I suffered the hours of brutal torment with death’s cold whisper across my skin. And when the nameless faces that haunted my nightmares took everything and everyone I loved, I feared I’d never be free of the darkness. But that’s the thing about fear. Good morning!! :)

That Christina Lauren one sounds interesting.

Kooloo April 10, 2018 at 6:51 AM

here’s a fun fact: when I really like a narrator from an Audiobook
I always look up their picture!!!!! BUT Jim Frangione THE narrator of all the BD Brotherhood books is the ONLY one I haven’t allowed myself to do that with… YET

In other A-Book news: A Court of Frost and Starlight is up for Pre-Order and ON SALE for ONLY $6.95 “CLICK”

Maryse April 10, 2018 at 8:12 AM

Jewel E. Ann just left us a comment on the Monday post. :) I’ll repost it here:

She says:

“Hey! Can I jump on here to thank you for giving my Transcend Duet a try? I was going to pop in yesterday, but I had to relinquish four precious release day hours to dealing with a pirated book on iBooks. SO frustrating. Then my kids crashed through the door after school and my day was gone! Lol
Anyway, the duet is complete and on KindleUnlimted for you voracious readers. <3 And check out the signed duet giveaway Maryse posted this morning! Again, THANK YOU!!! xo”

Grey April 10, 2018 at 8:44 AM

Tessa, you’re welcome, dearest, glad that for once I was able to do an Amazon loan and have it work, hahaha!

Thank you, Maryse!!! Your hard work here is the reason we are able to come together and form these awesome friendships and talk about all of the things. *throws a whole heap of Tuesday glitter* *snuggles Maryse*

Outnumbered will be next for me…recluse living off grid…MINE!

Tasha J April 10, 2018 at 10:19 AM

Look at this trailer!! I can’t wait to see this movie..
I’m also really excited for Tiffany Snow’s release! And I saw K.A. Linde is releasing a paranormal in a cpl weeks! I may have seen that in a post here and I’m looking forward to it! I tried to read the same book I’ve been trying to read when the mood strikes again today while waiting in the lobby at the doc. today and they called be back after 1 page. Much like when I started it in the bath a month ago and the kids came barging in. It’s like the powers that be as against me. :(
On the plus side, baby’s doing good! I got confirmation he’s right where I thought today, low in my pelvis, literally can’t go any lower until time to deliver. Oh, how fun these last weeks will be! Lol

Amy April 10, 2018 at 11:23 AM

GAH! Almost made myself late to work this morning because I couldn’t stay away from Transcend.

Amy April 10, 2018 at 11:26 AM

Hi DG!! *squeezy hug*

Leslie M April 10, 2018 at 11:56 AM

Tasha, that trailer looks awesome! Super creepy! Glad to hear our blog baby is doing well. ;)

Diana April 10, 2018 at 12:48 PM

Did y’all read the What He Doesn’t Know Duet? Wow. I’m halfway through #2 & I HATE Charlie. I keep stopping Bc I can’t stand her. Anyone else?

Ela April 10, 2018 at 1:10 PM

Who read Sleeping With Monsters???? We need to chat on GR!

Grey April 10, 2018 at 1:46 PM

Waiting on you, Ela.

Amy April 10, 2018 at 1:53 PM

Diana, if you already hate Charlie then you’ll absolutely DESPISE her by the end. I’m not continuing on to the second book if that tells you anything. :?

Diana April 10, 2018 at 2:45 PM

I meant I was 50% through book 2. I didn’t like her in book 1, but once book 2 started she went from misguided to selfish ****. Seriously, if it were a book where the main character was a guy & he behaved like her? He’d be despised. No one would sympathize w him. You can’t be a selfish, horrible person & play the victim. I could say a LOT more, but spoilers.

Ela April 10, 2018 at 3:15 PM

MichelleS April 10, 2018 at 3:52 PM

Kooloo – where is the 6.95 Frost & Starlight???? My Amazon app says 9.99. Dang it. Did I miss it? I am so in love with Sarah J Maas and her writing. RHYS… on my short list of book husbands.

MichelleS April 10, 2018 at 3:55 PM

Wait wait wait just one minute….. Amy is liking a dual POV book??? You’re okay hearing “his” thoughts? Hallelujah, praise the book gods. Happy dance. It’s a good book week, ain’t it girls?

Robyn April 10, 2018 at 3:56 PM

OMG! I finished Epoch at 2AM! I just could not stop. So be forewarned….you must have lots of uninterrupted time to do both books back to back. Jewel Ann, you are such an amazing writer! The stories you can weave. The feelings and emotions you bring to life. What a gift to all of us! Anyways girls, watch out for 69% in Epoch. My heart will never get over that. Gah!

Also, I must put my 2 cents in on The Boy and His Ribbon. This is another one of those books that you need lots of time for. If you don’t like cliffies don’t read this book yet. I think book 2 comes out in June. I’m dying, literally dying for book 2! Peppers writing is exquisite. It took me there. I felt everything. Definately one of my best of 2018 along with Transcend and Epoch.

MichelleS April 10, 2018 at 3:57 PM

Kooloo – don’t google Frangione. Ick. It’s not pretty. THAT’S who is narrating naughty JR Ward & the BDB?? Burst my bubble.

Jean April 10, 2018 at 3:59 PM

Michelle’s, it’s $9.99 for me too. Boo!

Robyn, you are scaring me about Epoch. I’m at 50% and now dreading that 69% mark….

Amy April 10, 2018 at 4:28 PM

*tries to mentally bleach 69% mark from brain*

I wanna be blindsided!! *cry*

Amy April 10, 2018 at 4:31 PM

Yes, MichelleS…yes, yes, YES!!! It’s dual POV and I’m LOVING it!! :D Probably helps that it’s mostly hers, but regardless I’m enthralled.

*contented siiiiiiiiigggghhhh*

Cheryl April 10, 2018 at 4:50 PM

Popping in to say hi and happy tuesday. Limited reading time so back to Transcend. Loving the writing and have “ideas” where this is going.

Julie April 10, 2018 at 5:00 PM

*Tessa* K.F. Greene said that Natural Mage will be added to KU in 2 days. April 12. She has a FB group that is a lot if fun. She mentioned it there and her newsletter.

Maryse, Shannon Meyer’s Dragon’s Ground (Desert Curse book 2) came out today as well. Book 3 is also up for preorder June 12. Just mentioning it in case she has any fans here.

Melinda April 10, 2018 at 5:42 PM

Diana, I just finished them both too. I totally get ya. And the husband says she is the most unselfish person he has ever met. I actually really liked both books actually.

I’ve only just started Transend.
And Amy that is what makes me late all the time that extra page and the extra page then all of a sudden I’m running out the door yelling “I’m late”.

Tessa April 10, 2018 at 6:12 PM

Oooh, thank you Julie! I’ll go look on facebook for her page. :D

D.G. April 10, 2018 at 7:26 PM

Hi Maryse!!!! Hi Amy!!!! Hi everyone!!!! I’ve missed ya’ll too!!!! *hugs and air kisses for everyone*. RL has been time consuming…lol. I just want a blankie fort, a good book and a bottle of wine….oh, and Mannie. And maybe Griffin….

Wondering what to read after Epoch….tough decisions….

Grey April 10, 2018 at 7:47 PM

We are doing a reread of the Court…

Robyn April 10, 2018 at 8:15 PM

Amy- You will be blindsided! I’m shushing now so I don’t give anything away accidently!

I don’t,want to start anything new because I’m traveling to Maryland for a week and will have limited reading time. I’m rereading K F Breenes Fire and Ice series.

Tessa April 10, 2018 at 9:03 PM

DONE! Sleeping with monsters is done and ooooooh! I said stuffs on GR.

MichelleS April 10, 2018 at 10:51 PM

Amy – 69%… “but. Not yet” or hazelnut coffee?!!

MichelleS April 10, 2018 at 10:53 PM

Finished Epoch.
That is all.
Don’t want to spoil it for anyone.
5 stars! P

Leslie M April 11, 2018 at 6:49 AM

I feel so out-of-the-loop that everyone is reading Transcend/Epoch, but I am still not convinced it is my type of story. :(

I think I may need to wait til my book funk lifts before I try that one.

D.G. April 11, 2018 at 7:47 AM

Sleeping with Monsters!!!! MINE!!!! How did I miss this?!?! I have been waiting for book 2 like forever?!?!

Just what I need to move past my fav Epoch’s 5 starness!!!

Oh, good morning peeps!!!

bev April 11, 2018 at 8:59 AM

Ok, mom’s back me up.

Sometimes around a sleeping baby everyone does need to be quiet. When sleeping is the only reason they are not crying. I’ve held babies where you don’t talk (not all the time) over a whisper or move just hoping they sleep over a few minutes and wake up happy, lol.

Tasha J April 11, 2018 at 10:02 AM

Hah!! Yes, my first born was like that. She had to be held all the time, no matter what I did. I’m not just saying she was a spoiled baby either, you literally couldn’t put her down, even to sleep. So, when I could lay her down for 20 min, that’s really all she lasted, you couldn’t turn a door handle, step on a creek on the floor, sneeze, nothing!! And I’ve watched babies that’ll sleep through anything too, but some of those special ones, where you just need some peace, it’s like everybody out!! Don’t breath too loud either. Lol

Tessa April 11, 2018 at 10:41 AM

DG, there is a BR thing on GR. Renee, go ahead and look. There is a ton of spoiler tags. :)

Tasha, that’s proof that all babies are different. I’ve seen all types from both extremes to even one of my nieces who would sleep through anything except her mom stopping a moment and not saying hi. It was as though the baby smelled her while sleeping and needed her to acknowledge her to stay asleep. So each time, she’d get a hi as her mom passed, and that baby would keep sleeping. lol

Leslie M April 11, 2018 at 10:54 AM

I think every baby is very different. My son was a nightmare and horrible sleeper as a baby (reason why I only had one) but he liked white noise and background noise. If it was too quite then random sounds would wake him. Even now he sleeps with white noise machines in his room and he is 17.

Tasha J April 11, 2018 at 11:00 AM

Lol, I’ve not heard that one before! The one I watch now isn’t a baby anymore, but she’s my very favorite of all of em. She hated being held and I could just put her in her crib and she’d fall right to sleep, on schedule, every time!
BTW- I’m reading!! I haven’t read a book since Bear Town, I think that was February or something. And I can’t stand having a bunch of books started and not finished, so I was determined to stick with this one and now I’m hooked.

Maryse April 11, 2018 at 1:28 PM

Tasha, yep! Sometimes it just takes a bit to not squirrel and actually get into what we’re reading. I’ve been focusing a bit more on what I’m reading lately, too. Although the *squirrel* is STRONG in me… ;)

bev April 11, 2018 at 3:11 PM

Yes, all babies are different. I just thought Swayze was being a bit condescending when she didn’t know that baby yet.
Like adults some are heavy sleepers and some light. But add in gas, teething, or flipping days and nights…

Maryse April 11, 2018 at 6:04 PM

I’m here and I’m reading!!! I’m skipping over any comments on this duet ’cause I don’t want accidentally see something, but I am STILL here, loving it and reading. :D

Wait… what??? Did bev READ it??!!!!!

Kooloo April 11, 2018 at 6:26 PM

Welcome back DG *grabs a scone * mmmmmmm you baked these you’re self – well then all is forgiven.

Looks like I need to get back to Grey’s champion SWM esp after Tessa’s HOT sleepless night and Elaloo’s “WITAF”!!!! ps I have know idea what that means but I totally agree storms over to GRS *

Oh NO it’s narrated by Cobbs not Ikeda. OK I have nothing against Cobbs (but she’s no Ikeda)…
crap I HATE IT WHEN they change narrators half-way through a series! t’s like when they when they replaced Twilight’s Victoria with that other red-head (which was super fake btw) I MEAN IT ALMOST RUINED THE MOVIE – end rant

*waves sheepishly *
Hi Cheryl

…the fact that everyone on the blog who has read the Transcend Duet has 5 stared it!

is that the angels singing I hear…

Cheryl April 11, 2018 at 6:33 PM

Ok still reading Transcend. I have to say I did a mental double take when Nate by the way said *** about Daisy to the other professor and the scar guy- yeh have a feeling that’s a biggie. Back to Transcend.

Cheryl April 11, 2018 at 6:36 PM

*waves back to Kooloo

Maryse, I’m like you trying to skim comments because want to stay in the dark about Transcend.

Jean April 11, 2018 at 6:59 PM

Kooloo! You are so frigging funny! I just love all you guys!

Jan April 11, 2018 at 7:06 PM

Kooloo. LOL girl. You’ve had a lot of coffee today? Haha. I’m reading Transcend as well and don’t want to see any even mini spoilers. Although so far it’s not 5 star for me:/ Not YET anyway……….

*reaches for a scone* Thanks DG.

bev April 11, 2018 at 7:31 PM

I’m only 17% in after 2 days. Not a reflection on the book at all. Just my slow book slump no mojo reading.
I’m just feeling quiet right now so if a bit scarce no worries that is why.

Tasha J April 11, 2018 at 7:51 PM

The U.S. Kooloo, weird it won’t work. Maybe google the You trailer? Or YouTube?
The Greatest Showman released yesterday too peeps!! Ya’ll have to watch this, I had ALL the songs, day and night, stuck in my head for a week after watching it once!! I was really starting to think there was something wrong w/me. Lol

bev April 11, 2018 at 10:28 PM

Just watched the newest ep of My Ahjussi.
This heroine just kills me in the best possible way.
I wish it was a book because I feel like Amy would want to take her home and care for her and make sure she was wearing socks in winter. Lol.

Tessa April 11, 2018 at 11:25 PM

*grins* I’m reading about a PNR with a girl and her ex-bully have to work together.

Kooloo April 12, 2018 at 1:01 AM

Just watched “A Quiet Place”.

*********HOLY CREEPTASTIC BATMAN****************

Kooloo April 12, 2018 at 1:08 AM

Speaking of Batman…

Leslie M April 12, 2018 at 5:32 AM

Kooloo, if I read Transcend and don’t love it, I would have major book shame/guilt…not to mention the slew of peanuts that will bombard me. :(

There is NOTHING worse than when everyone loves a book but me. *whispers* Drive

Leslie M April 12, 2018 at 5:39 AM

Bev (and everyone), do you watch This is Us? Jack & Rebecca are so sweet/swoony. Reminds me of our epic romance novels. I especially love the flashback/forward format. I also am crushing on Kevin and Randall.

bev April 12, 2018 at 7:37 AM

Leslie, don’t feel guilty.
Revel in it.
Come tell us why you hated Kellan.

bev April 12, 2018 at 7:41 AM

No, I haven’t watched alot of Network tv lately. Though I know it has been on a couple seasons now.

MichelleS April 12, 2018 at 7:47 AM

Leslie – Drive was a DNF for me. But I loved Transcend!

Leslie M April 12, 2018 at 8:46 AM

Bev, let’s not be silly now. You KNOW I love Kellan and will til my dying day!!!

This is Us has two seasons so far and its either on Netflix or Hulu. I highly recommend for all who love family dramas (hot men & tear jerkers).

Grey April 12, 2018 at 8:48 AM

I’m going to wildly unpopular soon. It’s totally fine.

Anywho…. *tosses glitter*

FLT: ~ Maybe I’d always been broken and dark inside. ~ A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas

Leslie M April 12, 2018 at 9:01 AM

I finished another “just ok” read. :( Mister Romance by Leisa Rayven. 3***

Not sure if I will have a FLT, I have to see if I will start something else today.

I really really need something that will knock my socks off.

bev April 12, 2018 at 9:07 AM

Maybe see where this is going now.

bev April 12, 2018 at 9:21 AM

Leslie slumps are hard. I used to always have small ones and would usually just marathon shows. But now realize those were nothing. I was still reading a few books a month. I’m maybe reading one a month now. It’s crazy. Never been like this since I learned to read. Even in grade school I’d have stacks and books under the couch for easy access.

So I feel you. Don’t push it, it can make it seem like homework.
What are you finding yourself doing instead?

I have found k dramas obviously. But also some new blogs that discuss them which has been fun.
And listening to alot of music.

Have you read all the old indies? Maybe we can make a list and you could sample?

My phone wanted to make indies into undies…..Lol. Like WTH.

bev April 12, 2018 at 9:31 AM

What’s on repeat this morning.

Maryse April 12, 2018 at 9:34 AM

LOL bev!!!

Grey April 12, 2018 at 9:38 AM

bev, Wake Up World by Unsecret and Ruelle

Tessa April 12, 2018 at 10:50 AM

Grey, why are you going to be unpopular?

MichelleS, I am going to confess. I don’t like This is Us. It feels so fake and overly dramatic. Mostly fake. Oh, they were great parents but their kids grew up to be messed up because of how they treated them. WHAT???

Tasha J April 12, 2018 at 11:41 AM

I finished mine, not sure how I feel. I wanted a more definite ending. Sometimes I love the way that ending are kinda sorta left open and others it downright drives me crazy. I bought Broken Girls this morning and I’m liking it so far, but back to my ADD ways. I wonder if you truly can develop that later in life. Not ready to give Transend a go until I can really focus all my time and energy on it. Maybe sometime this weekend, we’ll see. The weather has just clued in to spring here (finally) so I have a feeling we’ll be outdoors, doing some cleaning and running around.

Tasha J April 12, 2018 at 11:42 AM

Omg I just realized I can get my flip flops out!!! Oh, happy day!! Lol

Maryse April 12, 2018 at 11:57 AM

Wondering about Grey’s unpopularity too… ;)

*Wiggles in the fallen glitter*

Jean April 12, 2018 at 2:47 PM

FLT: Blinding, bright white. (Outnumbered, by Shay Savage). I’m not that far into it. Still in my Transcend/Epoch book fog.

Kooloo, A Quiet Place looks so good!

On another note, I just watched the movies Me Before You and Everything Everything and loved them both. Of course, the books were better, but they did a good job with the movies. I absolutely loved the actor and actress in Me Before You. And I didn’t realize the actor, Sam Claflin, was Finnick in The Hunger Games!

Leslie M April 12, 2018 at 3:13 PM

I think I should read some old undies!!! Ha ha ha. That made me chuckle. Actually, I am sure I have already read most of the popular ones. (Indies that is, not undies. ‘Cause old undies would be gross!) ;)

You know being in a slump does make reading almost feel like homework! *grumbles* So frustrating!

I have been filling my time with streaming shows (I watched 7 seasons worth of Scandal) and movies. Also I will do puzzley things like Suduko or some games on my son’s DS and I just learned Scrabble.

Maryse April 12, 2018 at 3:57 PM

Okay I have to say I’m so utterly hooked on Transcend. I’m 3/4′s of the way through it and will devour and finish the rest within the next couple of hours and move right on to Epoch.

What I have to say is I BELIEVE everything (relationship-wise, fight-wise, jealous-wise) that I’m reading. SUCH REALITY in these scenes.

OMG OMG OMG I havent read this kind of intensity in a LONG time. For me it really picked up properly at the 50% mark. It is ALL good, and I didn’t think of squirreling or anything, I was into it, but it’s when I hit that 50% that my heart was in my throat and hasn’t left…

I AM SO ON EDGE!!! AND I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MichelleS April 12, 2018 at 4:07 PM

Tessa? I don’t watch This Is Us.

I am binge watching Bloodline on Netflix!

FLT: “A throng of family and friends mourned the loss of four innocent lives under dapple gray skies in a cemetery nestled at the bottom of a hillside just miles from the Golden Gate Bridge.” End of Day (Jack & Jill series).

MichelleS April 12, 2018 at 4:09 PM

Grey – YAAS!!! A Court of Mist & Fury!!!! Lerv that series si hard!!!

D.G. April 12, 2018 at 5:39 PM

Just finished Sleeping with Monsters….*chants in protest…I WANT MORE, I WANT MORE!* and I am so confused with this open ending. ‘The End For Now’…cliffy?!?!?

Tessa April 12, 2018 at 5:51 PM

That’s how she always ends her series. It’s pretty much her signature at this point. :) Wasn’t it insane, though? Gah!

Nay April 12, 2018 at 6:10 PM

Michelle–Hubs is also binge watching Bloodline! He’s watching S3E5 right this minute as a matter of fact. He’s always talking about what a f#$k-up Kevin is. lol

“Maybe I’d always been broken and dark inside.”
A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas (BRing with Lisa and Grey)

MichelleS April 12, 2018 at 6:52 PM

FLT Take Two (I finished my other book & THIS finally came in at library!)

“This was bad. This was so very bad.” Burn Bright (Alpha & Omega)
Happy Dance!!!

Kooloo April 12, 2018 at 6:56 PM

Doin’ a little happy dance in my chair at work for ya Maryse babe!

Yay m)

Amy April 12, 2018 at 6:57 PM

FLT ~ same as bev’s. :D

Yes…just YES to everything Maryse said about Transcend.

I have 10% left and then on to Epoch. I’m going to be so hungover after this duet…

Kooloo April 12, 2018 at 6:57 PM

Kooloo April 12, 2018 at 6:59 PM

Ok now I’m running to the washroom (yup still at work) as I type this

And gonna do a really happy dance for Amy too

Yay yay

Tessa April 12, 2018 at 7:01 PM

I didn’t realize he was a werewolf at first.
Moon Called by Patricia Briggs.

I’m leaving on a flight in a few hours and didn’t want to really get into anything before. Just down to Orange Country for my niece’s wedding. *squees and grins* This is the niece that is most like a sister to me and I adore her to pieces and her fiance loves her deeply and is perfect for her.

Sugar Daddy by Sawyer Bennett

Amy April 12, 2018 at 7:07 PM

Jean!!! I’ve loved Sam Claflin since he was the priest who fell in love with the mermaid in Pirates of the Caribbean. *swooooooon*

And Emilia Clarke (khaleesi!!) is just the most adorable celebrity ever.

Tasha J April 12, 2018 at 7:27 PM

*sigh* With warmer weather comes more noise. I’d forgotten that. We have early bedtime here and I swear the whole neighborhood doesn’t really get quiet until 11pm. I went for a 25min walk, 1st time in weeks, and came back moaning and groaning. I felt pain in my hips even! 3 blocks is all I could make in that time. I feel so pathetic. Lol
Anyway, I’m back to Broken Girls. Totally sucked in now. Mystery and secrets and ghosts, oh my! ;)

Cheryl April 12, 2018 at 9:04 PM

“It’s not nice to talk about someone behind their back.” Epoch by Jewel E Ann. Just started Epoch.

I agree Maryse. These books are intense and for the most part I believe what’s happening. I am getting a little perturbed at Griffin and Swayze’s interactions.

Kooloo April 12, 2018 at 9:32 PM

hey so get this some MDs at this Long-term care home I work at are writing new pre-emptive orders today for their patients’ antipsychotic medication in lieu of tomorrows DATE…

I know right?!?

*whispers* I’m glad I’m not on call this weekend *shrugs*

Jan April 13, 2018 at 1:49 AM

*hugs Tessa and Michele over mutual enjoyment of Patricia Briggs*

*laughs about old undies*

FLT: My dad was a lot taller than my mother – I mean a LOT.

from Love and Other Words, the newie from Christina Lauren.

I’m torn. I so WANT to love this book, but I don’t, really…… None of their later books have lived up to the Beautiful series :/ :/ :/
I like Elliott, although it’s sorta hard to know him cos we see him through Macy’s eyes, including lots of flashbacks. Macy, sadly, is another one of their weakish female hs. Confused, full of too much emo baggage. She’s supposed to be a paediatric doctor but although it’s mentioned a few times, she doesn’t feel like one in any way, shape or form. And I’m just over all of the flashbacks to their teen dramas. Just too much. I wanna see more of them when they’re grown ups!

So, at 78%, I’m a bit frustrated and disappointed in this book. It could have been SO MUCH BETTER!!!!!! Buuuut. Other readers may love it. I’m not a YA fan, but if you like YA you might dig all of the flashbacks……..

MichelleS April 13, 2018 at 9:32 AM

Jan – if you’re looking for a non YA book with a non-weak H, then you may like the Jack & Jill series by Jewel E. Ann.

After reading Transcend & Epoch, I needed more Jewel E. Ann, so I read book one in the series. Blown away. Jillian is vulnerable, but not weak. The opposite of weak!

Jan April 13, 2018 at 6:45 PM

Thanks Michelle.
