HAPPY RELEASE DAY!! As usual lots of great looking ones to choose from, but this list is making me extra “squirrely” today. Yep… my TOP TEN TBR list is giving me a dirty look right now, ’cause I’m gonna try and squeeze a few more in there. πΒ Hehe.
<— Like THIS one!!!Β PlayΒ ROCK STAR ALERT!Β I LOVED book #1, and pretty much LOVE anything this author writes, so I can’t wait to jump on this early release. It’s live!
And…Β DominicΒ (I’m on my never-ending quest to be affected once again, by a book hero as hard as Travis affected me), and Lena (and maybe even Lori) loved it. Lena mentioned Travis, and I’m all over that. So THIS just might be my very next TBR book. Except, I’m wanting to read it NOW, so I dunno how long I can hold it off. BIG-TIME squirreling over that one, right now.
AndΒ LoveLinesΒ <— might make me laugh, might make me freak out? You never know with S. Walden, but I like the sound of this one! AndΒ Beautifully DamagedΒ (extensively edited and it involves a fighter/alpha male that sounds right up my alley).
And a few blurbs that made me go WHOA. Like:Β WinterΒ (her father’s a serial killer, and she meets (falls for?) a tattooed cop/singer that struggles with who she is).Β Let Me GoΒ (Doctor that lost it all after false accusations and kidnaps the one he believes falsely accused him), andΒ The Wrath of SinΒ (this guy’s out for revenge too, and steals?? the girl of the guy he’s revenging against),Β Rescuing LoveΒ (memory loss, and marriage crumbling because of it… and then they meet again).
But don’t stop here. I tried to “limit” my highlights (up here) from the list below, ’cause there are a BUNCH more (at least 5 more) that, if my TBR list wasn’t already tight, I’d totally pick up and read. I noted them, below, too. π
P.S. Let me know if Iβm missing any or if you loved any (from this list or elsewhere).
BARGAINSΒ (NOTE: bargain priced when I added them, but prices can change on Amazon, so make sure to check before you finalize your order).
Sweet Little Thing: A Novella (Sweet Thing #1.5)Β by Renee Carlino <—Β on sale right now. I LOVED LOVED LOVED book #1 (Sweet Thing), and I hear this follow-up novella only makes it better!
- Perfect LieΒ by Teresa Mummert <— on sale! From the blurb, I’m getting that she’s “starting over” in college (bad past… possible heartbreak?) which brings new man into her life. Secrets exchanged which brings her past back to her present…
- Number ThirteenΒ by Bella Jewel <— I already one-clicked this one I thought I’d bring it back to the table. Haven’t read it yet but that dark, possibly Stockholm Syndrome-y synopsis is mind-blowing!
- Wall of TrustΒ by AJ Pryor <— very recent release! “…when a sexy mystery man wants to trade numbers, but not names, sheβs more than a little skeptical.“
- No Regrets Trilogy: The Thrill of It, The Start of Us, Every Second With YouΒ by Lauren Blakely <— two books and a novella all bundled together right now!!! (thanks Kat!!)
- SECRET: A NovelΒ byΒ L. Marie Adeline <— Aimee just found us this one saying: ” I don’t think it’s ever been on sale before…watching it since Jan 2013.”
Devour (The Devoured Series)Β by Shelly Crane <— Aimee found us this one too! “…her boyfriend, Tate, starts to show signs of trouble when a new guy, Eli, comes to town. Clara is fascinated with him, but hides it until something happens. Eli confesses to her that she gives him something he’s never had before…something he needs. Everything is about to change for this normal pretty popular girl in a supernatural way.“
- Winter (A Four Seasons Series)Β by Nikita Rae <— Aimee found us this deal, too! Sounds intriguing. She’s getting a new start in college (away from her father’s “serial killer” past), and meets a tattooed bad-ass cop (who’s also a singer in a band). “…falling hard for a girl whose father was accused of deeply sinister actsβa man whom Luke shares a devastating history with, himselfβonly serves to complicated things.” Hrmmm… I’m thinking I need to one-click this one. Yep.
- Dominic (Slater Brothers)Β by L.A. Casey <— I’m bringing this one back from last week’s list ’cause Lena is going crazy for it, and now I wanna go crazy, too! Okay this is already making me wanna *squirrel*, and I just one-clicked it. Consider this one on my MAIN “Top Ten” TBR list, at the top right now…
Lena: OMG Maryse…. I think I m in love for the first time after Travis…….. And his Name is Dominic…….. Lol
Maryse’s Book Blog: Is it the Dominic from the book entitled “Dominic”? I had that one on a list a week ago! So it’s good?!!
Lena: Yes it is!!!!!! It’s got it all!!!! L.A. Casey! And here I thought that Travis had me ruined for any other book boyfriend! Dominic comes the closest anyone has ever come for me!!! And to quote you SQUEEEEE!!!! xoxo
Lori:Β Iβm loving Dominic by L.A. Casey right now! Iβve been laughing me arse off most of the way through. Itβs set in Ireland, the banter between MCβs is giving me life! Iβm only at 60% or so, but so far one of my favorites of this year.
- Six Brothers (Gypsy Brothers, #2)Β byΒ Lili Saint Germain <—Β recent release, and price has been reduced for now. (thanks Mary Ann!)
- Their Virgin Concubine, Masters of MΓ©nage, Book 3Β by Shayla Black
- The Gentleman and the RogueΒ by Bonnie Dee <— I love this author and her recent M/M release
- Let Me GoΒ by DC Renee <— Here’s a very recent release that I haven’t received a recommendation for (yet), but the blurb had me go WHOA! A doctor, imprisoned for 5 years after being falsely accused of rape and then… “…when she woke up, she was no longer at home, and she was no longer alone. She was facing Mason, a guy who claimed she ruined his life. And heβs hell-bent on breaking her down, humiliating her, making her feel like he has all these years.Β She claimed she had no clue what he was talking about, but he didn’t believe her. The facts donβt lie.“
- Reclaiming the SandΒ by A. Meredith Walters <— this blurb GOT me last week! CLICK! He’s the one being bullied by her! “He was taunted and teased, bearing the brunt of systematic and calculated cruelty, ultimately culminating in a catastrophic turn of events that brought Ellie and Flynnβs worlds crashing down.Β But then Flynn and Ellie grew up.Β And moved on.Β Until years later when their paths unexpectedly cross again and the bully and the freak are face to face once more.“
PARANORMAL
Bite Me (The Pride Series)Β byΒ Shelly Laurenston <— I hear this series is hilarious and AWESOME and steamy!!) Here is the series reading order.
- Shadow Spell: Book Two of The Cousins OβDwyer TrilogyΒ by Nora Roberts
- Six Months (Seven Series #2)Β by Dannika Dark
- Changing FateΒ by Jessica Faye
- In The Fading LightΒ by Tara Brown
- Long Shadows (The Lycanthropy Files)Β byΒ Cecilia Dominic
CONTEMPORARY
End of the Innocence (The Innocence Trilogy)Β by Alessandra Torre <— book #3 just released! I LOVE this author, and need to read this series. π (here’s the series reading order)
- Play (A Stage Dive Novel)Β by Kylie Scott <— ROCK STAR ALERT (and I LOVVVVED book #1!!!) . Whoa. Wait. What?Wow, Mal’s book came out early so… YAY!!!! π “Anne Rollins never thought sheβd ever meet the rock god who plastered her teenage bedroom wallsβespecially not under these circumstances. Anne has money problems. Big ones. But being paid to play the pretend girlfriend to a wild life-of-the-party drummer couldnβt end well. No matter how hot he is. Or could it?“
- Twisted (The Tangled Series)Β by Emma Chase <—Β (P.S. Today’s the last day to enterΒ this contest!!) Oh and here’s theΒ Tangled Series Reading Order
- Twisted Together (Monsters in the Dark)Β by Pepper Winters <β Caroline found us this one! βItβs the third book in her Monsters in the Dark series. Loved the first two; really looking forward to book three!β (hereβs theΒ series reading order)
LoveLines (Wilmington Saga)Β by S. Walden <— Another book by this author sent me in a tailspin, so I can’t wait to try this one out! This one sounds very different! Maybe fun, but with a definite feel of angst or trouble? From blurb, I’m getting that she’s a quirky thirty-something year old with BIG-time OCD, and her male co-worker finds it endearing. But things eventually go awry…
- When the Sun Goes DownΒ by Erin Noelle <— looks good! It’s hard to sum it up from what I’ve read of the blurb, but it seems to be about two women with very bad pasts (one’s skittish around men, one is seeking revenge on all men, and one in particular… and there’s also a man). Not sure if he’s matched up to both of ’em or not. π
- Last Breath: A Novel (Hitman #2)Β byΒ Jen FrederickΒ &Β Jessica Clare <— Book #1 was very well received, and one of the authors described this one saying: “…features a darker, grittier storyline but that is alleviated by the sardonic Daniel who has a propensity for bad nicknames (just say no to Sugar T!ts) and his proficiency with all kinds of weapons.” π LOL!!!
- Enjoying the ChaseΒ byΒ Kirsty Moseley <— Heather just reminded me that this one was released today, saying: “Itβs the book after Nothing Left To Lose. The second book is about two of the characters from the first book. NLTL was probably my favorite book of 2014 so far.”
- Unwound: The Mastered SeriesΒ by Lorelei James <β I heard that this series is so good!
- Passion and Ponies (Chocoholics #2)Β by Tara Sivec
- KNOX: Volume 1Β by Cassia Leo <— Just released (this is the start of a serial series)…
- Craving Him: A Love by Design NovelΒ by Kendall Ryan
- Still Life with StringsΒ by L.H. Cosway <— I LOVED her book “Painted Faces” and this one looks just as awesome. In fact, Jeanie just messaged me saying: “Maryse, I’m currently reading LH Cosways new release Still Life With Strings- omg, I am totally loving it right now!!! I’m loving the chemistry between Shane & Jade – it just jumps off the page!!!” <— YAY!!!! That sounds perfect for me!
- Recklessly RoyalΒ by Nichole Chase
- Fatal Jeopardy: Book Seven of The Fatal SeriesΒ by Marie Force
- Tame Me: A Stark International NovellaΒ by J. Kenner
- Hope Ignites (A Hope Novel)Β by Jaci Burton
Saint Kate of the Cupcake: The Dangers of Lust and BakingΒ byΒ L.C. Fenton <— From blurb, I’m getting: Β She’s married and moved to England for her mostly-absent husband and his stuffy family, and in her boredom cooks herself into getting her own cooking show! And then attracts the attention of her favorite famous actor… <— eeeeep!
- That’s a Lie: (Promises, Promises #2)Β byΒ Victoria Klahr
- The Wrath of Sin: A Mortal Sin NovelΒ byΒ Melissa Andrea, &Β Tabatha Vargo <— okay this one sounds like a dark read from the blurb? Does he kidnap some guy’s daughter? Wife? Sister? “I’m not a murderer, but hate will make you do crazy things. I hate the man who stole my life from me, and it’s only fair that I steal something precious from him. But revenge is bittersweet when passion overpowers your reason, and what’s precious to him has become the voice of reason for me. Pushing me to feel human again, she threatens to change everything.” Maybe he seduces her away? Hrmmmm…. consider me curious!
- Come Home to Me (Whiskey Creek)Β by Brenda Novak <– back home with her small son (after 2 years away), and seeing “him” again… “…she can’t fall back into his armsβ¦or his bed. She’s come too far to backslide now. And there’s a secret she’s been guardingβa secret she’ll do anything to protect.“
- Carved in Stone (The Stone Series)Β byΒ Noree Kahika <— brand spankin’ new release with a blurb that says “up our alley” to me. π “I got a fantastic job in an exciting new career, made some wonderfully new and flamboyant friends, was given a promotion, unwittingly picked up an enemy or two along the way, fell head over heels in love with the most beautiful man in the world who also happens to be a dominating enigmatic millionaire and had my heart crushingly stomped on by said millionaireβ¦ and that was all in the first three months of moving to L.A…” <— and then there’s more, ’cause Mr. Heartbreak comes around again… π
- Bad Boy vs Millionaire (Bad Boy Rock Star)Β byΒ Candy J Starr <— well this title pretty much says it all. π
- Third Degree: Flirt New Adult RomanceΒ by Julie Cross <— “I used to be βIsabel Jenkins, child prodigy.β As lame as that sounds, at least it was an identity. But now Iβm not surewhatΒ I am. I just failed the most important exam of my lifeβthe emotional readiness test required to get into a medical residency programβand it turns out my parents canβt stand each other. Now Iβm trying to figure out how to pick up the pieces of my life, and that means re-enrolling as a college freshman, but this time Iβm shutting the books and majoring in being eighteen…“
Rescuing LoveΒ byΒ Carol Denekas <— oh wow this one sounds like it wants to break my heart… and put it back together again? Perfect marriage, pregnancy… and then doubts that lead to a tragic accident. She loses her memory… “Grief-stricken and unable to cope with Emily’s condition, Daniel is forced to send her back to live with her parents.Β A year later, her memory still absent, Emily meets Daniel as if for the first time. As they seemingly start anew, she feels the pull of old memories as their relationship begins to blossom…“
- Roman Holiday: The Adventure ContinuesΒ by Ruthie Knox
- Roman Holiday: The Complete Adventure (2-Book Bundle: The Adventure Begins and The Adventure Continues)Β by Ruthie Knox
- Second Chances: The Bold and the BeautifulΒ by Ros Baxter
- Smokin’ Hot (Firefighters of Lanville, TX)Β byΒ Lynn LaFleur
- Sweet Talk MeΒ byΒ Kieran Kramer <— COUNTRY STAR ALERT!
- Making the Grade (Wicked Warrens)Β by Marie Harte
- A Match Made in Texas (Deep in the Heart of Texas)Β by Katie Lane
- The Other HalfΒ byΒ Sarah Rayner <— oh this one sounds like it’s gonna hurt… “Told in the alternating voices of the mistress and the wife, this story of an affair is a sharp, seductive take on modern love.”
- Boots and TwistersΒ by Myla Jackson <— er… by that cover, I have a feeling I know what this one’s about. π Well… steam-wise, at least.
- Dyed and Gone (Azalea March Mystery Series)Β byΒ Beth Yarnall
- Girl Trouble (Come Again)Β byΒ Miranda Baker
- Mad About You: License to Thrill/You Only Love TwiceΒ byΒ Lori Wilde
- Book Lovers: Sexy Stories from Under the CoversΒ byΒ Shawna Kenney
- An April Bride (A Year of Weddings Novella)Β by Lenora Worth
Beautifully Damaged (Beautifully Damaged series)Β by L.A. Fiore <— FIGHTER ALERT!!! This one was picked up by a publisher and re-released. I know it was quite popular about a year or so ago as an indie book, but had editing issues, so I held off. But from the sounds of it, this one is right up my alley, and now that it’s been extensively “cleaned up” I can’t wait to try it!!! “…catching the steely blue eyes of a tall, gorgeous tattooed manβTrace Montgomery. Still damaged from her last disastrous relationship and warned off the bad boy by friends, Ember fights the smoldering heat that Trace sparks in her when he begins shadowing her like a dark angel.” Oh yes, Trace sounds like fun. Plus he’s a fighter, so you know… me + fighter = YAY!!!

Enjoying the Chase by Kirsty Mosely was released today. It’s the book after Nothing Left To Lose. The second book is about two of the characters from the first book. NLTL was probably my favorite book of 2014 so far.
Thank you Heather!! I’m adding it now. I’ve heard #1 was awesome…
Maryse,
Dominic is soooo good! Funny andBronough takes NOTHING from him…Highly recomended! Hot alpha fighter!
Oh and he’s a fighter!! Yes I suspected that from the book cover, but now I’m REALLY wanting to read this even harder!
Reclaiming The Sand by A. Merideth Walters is on sale for .99 today!
Thanks Courtney! I’m adding it. I hear it’s awesome (and I’m intrigued by the premise).
I just finished “Still Life with Strings”. I loved it! I am a sucker for an accent especially an Irish one! Amazing book!
Yay! So excited play came out early!!!! There were at least 3 coming out next Tuesday and I wanted to read them all at once. Now I can start play tonight. Whoo hoo!
Gotta question for you guys…..on Wed I noticed the 3rd Monster in the Dark book by Pepper Winters was available….for about 2hrs…..then ever since then it says pre-order, available June 3, 2014. What’s up? Did anyone else notice this & was it a mistake?
Sorry, not Wed but Sunday.
All day I kept repeating….”I will not buy any books today, don’t look at Maryse’s list”….but guess what, I couldn’t resist and I just 1-clicked like SEVEN TIMES! Haha! I have a serious, serious problem……but glad I share that problem with all of you guys!
Oh and Maryse, hope you didn’t squirrel too far away from the Songs of Submission series…..I am absolutely consumed by it!! On Book #7, Sing…..what an unexpected turn it took….loving it!!
I finished SOS yesterday, and Sing really did take a different turn. It was a *really* good series, but I’m worn out from the back-to-back and ready for a standalone. π
Jean, did you read Maybe Someday yet?!? Ooooh, you gotta, you gotta, you gotta!! Oh, Ridge *sigh* I wish I could go back and re-experience that one…
Still Life With Strings was ah-maz-ing!!! Shane is a sophisticated but shy concert violinist with a dirty mouth and Jade – she needs distance but doesn’t want it. But it was so easy to fall in love with him – talented, beautiful, good hearted, I too was totally swept off my feet and felt it when he made her heart go pop! And he made her heart (and mine) pop A LOT!!! Loved it!!! π
Wonderful day. Surprise releases, to me, by LH Cosway and Kylie Scott. I just finished Maybe Someday after reading your review. I took your advice and went in completely spoiler free and it made for a wonderful weekend.
There are two books that I have to mention the first came out last year and the next in what I believe is a trilogy came out on the fourth. They are Written in red and Murder of Crows by Anne Bishop. Both were all night reads for me and could not stop thinking of them when done. They do not end in cliffhanger but do leave you wanting more. The potential romance is their but definitely a slow build up, which I do sometimes enjoy.
Has anyone read The Last Hit Man Series? I heard the new one came out today – Last Hit. Curious about these…
https://www.amazon.com/Last-Hit-Hitman-Jessica-Clare-ebook/dp/B00H0UTYS2/ref=pd_sim_kstore_1?ie=UTF8&refRID=1KGJRT7DHVZJW1CGHFA1
Just one clicked Dominic. I also just finished SOS and while I loved the first 2 sequences I was a liitle let down with Sing.
Hi, I just came across your website and love all theses recommendation. I’ve read Dominic it’s a high school type romance but I still enjoyed it. My question though Is twisted together available, it looks like it’ll be out in june. please let me know
Christine, I read the first book in the Last Hit Man Series. When you were reading that book, you could see the second book forming. I have to admit I one clicked yesterday on the second book and that is saying something when I usually don’t pay full price!!
Love the Hit Man books. Can’t WAIT for Naomi & Vasily’s story this fall. As Kathy P wrote, in the 1st book you could see the 2nd book forming & during the 2nd book, you could see the 3rd forming. I kinda liked the 2nd a little more because Daniel was a bit more fun & lively than Nick.
Just finished Twisted and it’s so f***ing good! I wasn’t sure if I was going to like that it was told from Kate’s POV because I so loved Drew’s POV in Tangled. But I love Kate even more now and think Emma Chase is brilliant. Laugh out loud moments, throw the Kindle on the floor moments (almost), sniffly crying moments, and of course super-sexy-hot-steamy moments. This book has it all. LOVED IT!
Bullet to the Heart by Lea Griffiths is a great read…it was on a list a couple of months ago and I finally read it…strong female character who is an assassin…highly recommend and book 2 is out
Hawk: (Burnout 3) ebook: by Dahlia West worth a look π
O.M.G. Play was even better than Lick. I absolutely freaking LOVED it. I only wish it had been longer. I devoured this book.
Amy, didn’t read Maybe Someday yet, but its next on my list and I will be going in blind as I have no idea what it is about (skipped Maryse’s review)! It was going to be next….but then I 1-clicked Dominic yesterday and HAD to start it last night…..I just love hot tattooed fighters…can’t resist! I definitely needed a standalone after the SOS series, but now I realize Dominic probably won’t be a standalone…haha, oh well!
So… I squirreled. I had to start Dominic. I just HAD to. *giggle*
So far pretty good… i’m only in 20% but I’m liking it.
Celeste!! Your killing me!!!! I wanna read that SO HARD!!!
Maryse, I totally love the same books as you and always one click your 4.5 – 5 star reviews. I read Beautifully Damaged when it first came out and I couldn’t put it down. It was very good and boy does it have a big secret. It’s intense, stay up all night intense, and I highly recommend it!
Also, I am 80% through Number 13 and it is really good! Its not as dark as some of the other kidnapping reads but has more of a happy feeling towards the middle, The story is told through #13 and Master William. Unbeknownst to the 13 girls, they are taken due to their horrific pasts. Master William is trying to give them a new start by wiping their memories and giving them some place safe. Oh and Master William is a beautiful man but he is physically damaged, so he is also looking for a lover from this group, but is too damaged to find soul shattering love, or is he? Can’t wait to finish!
Jean… I was under the impression that Dominic’s gorgeous bad-boy older brothers would be getting books. I’m still early in, though.
Sounds SOOOO good Shawna. I’m good with “dark reads” that have a light or a purpose. Thank you so much for that!
Maryse…I am at 29% and yes, I definitely get the impression those hot badass brothers will be getting their own books! I can’t believe we both started the same book again…haha! Dominic is making me crazy, I hate (love!!) him so bad right now!!
Definitely reading Play next, especially after seeing Celeste’s comment!!!!!
Okay me too!!! Jean we’re having so much fun! π
Michelle, I think I’m going to love Twisted even more ’cause it’s her POV. I LOVE the girl POV most (or mostly). I especially love not knowing what the guy is thinking or why he isn’t calling, or why he’s acting aloof. It makes me crazy (which I love!)
Okay for those wondering… it looks like the “Monster in the Dark” book was up for pre-order… not yet released (but soon!).
Ooooooooooh Dominic just made me FUME!!! How DARE he?! Although she is pretty slap-happy. Although he does have some grabby hands…
*sigh* so fun!
Haha! I am grinning like crazy right now!
Ugh, you ladies are driving me crazy (in the best possible way π ). My TBR list just shifted again. I’m reading Dominic next and then Lick and Play. I’m *trying* to alternate between new books and books I bought, say, a year or more ago!?! Lol, you guys are awesome. π
Tarryn Fisher announced a release date for Mud Vein. It is April 18, 2014. YIPPEEEEE
I love you guys…don’t know what I’d do without you!
Oh, and that last comment from Cat had me jumping up and down for joy……been waiting for Mud Vein for a long time now! Thanks Cat!
Okay 32% and yep… I’m loving it. It’s found it’s rhythm, and it’s funny as heck (even though it’s not a comedy) and yet… wow… something about the tension between these two DOES feel like my old favorites. At first, the hatred and push and pull between ’em was a bit overdone, but OMG I’m loving it now.
Dominic makes me sooooo mad (I love how the author allows him to be an obnoxious jerk – and I mean a JERK! He says some RUDE things in anger) and yet… I am getting quite attached to him (and his crew), and love his rare sweet moments.
Obnoxious, caveman alpha-jerk fighter tattooed hottie? THIS ONE!!!!
I don’t even care that they’re still in high school (at least I think – maybe college?)… they’re over 18 in this, ’cause it’s EXACTLY what I like.
Especially Damien. ‘Cause Damien’s nice. <--- you'll get that reference if you read it. π LOL!!! P.S. The writing is good... not necessarily amazing or anything... hard to explain. It's good, but the feeling is GREAT and I'm SO enjoying this one. I've got butterflies, I've got pining, I've got a MAJOR crush!!!!
Blahahahahaha……I am literally laughing out loud right now at my desk! Do you feel better after that release? I agree with everything you are saying….kinda reminds me of Bully in the beginning,…
Quick FYI for everyone, The Soul Mate by Madeline Sheehan is free today on Kindle and Nook….. and we love free and we love Madeline! Haven’t read it yet, but…..hey ya know.
LOL!! They are just so obnoxious together! I mean, WOW. Just… they are both such BRATS!
She’s slap/punch happy, he’s grabby and crude and can be such a cavemen.
*giggle*.
I shouldn’t giggle. Nobody should act this way… just horrible.
*giggle*
π
I hear that series is really good, Jean. Paranormal…
Yep, total brats and horrible….heehee…..love it!
I read a lot of reviews about Dominic that weren’t thrilled with it, too immature, too slap happy, whatever @@ I laughed like crazy! I’m looking forward to more from this author, all those sexy brothers!
My TBR list grew a bunch this week. I enjoyed Last Breath, almost as much as Last Hit.
I’m reading Enjoying the Chase now, with Play and Still Life with Strings to follow.
Oooh, Beautifully Damaged by L A Fiore, I read this last year? Year before? I loved it, I’ve reread it since.
You guys are tempting me to *squirrel* completely off of my Top 10 TBR list for at least three books on this one!! π
Still Life with Strings!! I REALLY WANT TO READ THAT ONE!!
Dominic was great! Just finished, and *squeel* I loved it. I agree, a lot of Bully undertones, but I loved Bully too. π
I was thrilled when I turned my Kindle on yesterday and there was Bite Me by Shelly Laurenston, which I pre-ordered a few months ago.I have followed her Pride series (which the first one in the series is currently 99 cents) for years and love them. They are funny, hot and just great reading.I only had two chapters left in the book I was reading and I almost put it down to start Bite Me but I knew when I started it,it would be an up all night event because I know I will not be able to put it down.It is not an inexpensive book, almost $9.00 for the kindle version, but more in the store ,and so far I have NO regrets spending that much money at all, normally I wouldn’t pay that much for an ebook but this is so worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just finished Twisted by Emma Chase and loved it as much as Tangled.
I absolutely love her writing and she is hilarious. Don’t know where she
comes up with some of that stuff. Her take on what men think and say is so spot on. Also finished Rebelonging which is sequel to Unbelonging by Sabrina Stark. Really loved those two books. Maryse, Lawton reminds me of a more sophisticated and bad Travis. He is a fighter, a billionaire and a bad guy who loves his girl.
Just finished Unwound and it was great! I LOVED the first book Bound. Ron in is just great and we get to hear his perspective in this continuation of his story with Amery. I hate cliffhanges but so glad the story wraps ups in Unwound. You won’t be dissapointed.
Okay well… First half of Dominic had me, but 2nd half, not so much. π It was already pretty crazy-obnoxious to begin with, (or should I say “they”) … but I think it blew my crazy-fuse. π
Ah well, back to SOS for me, or maybe “Play”.
Jean, I’m cracking up..I say that all the time too “not buying any books today…not buying any books today”…..until I read Marys’s site! Ha ha. I need a job just for my book fetish!
Just starting SOS BOOK #4 ( Control). I’m a bit behind in my SOS reads as we had to make some college trips to tech and uga…but I’m back at it and loving SOS!! Finished Jessica/Sharon this morning. Not necessary to read before control but i thoroughly enjoyed getting Jonathan’s POV.
From y’all’s reviews looks like I’m going to have to one click Dominic…and I still have several books to read through with SOS. Maryse, have you finished the SOS series? Probably a stupid question…haha. I think I’m the slowest reader follower you have! Lol
Completely agree with you Maryse about Dominic! I finished the SOS series so I plan on starting Play tonight….really looking forward to it!
I read 2 books this week so far and both were crazy good! Last Breath by Jessica Clare I thought it would be a let down because the 1st was so good and the plot of this one was so gritty. But it wasn’t. It was awesome. I’m in love with Daniel, although I wish he had the Russian accent from book 1. Totally Recommend it.
I also read Agains the Cage by Sidney Halston. It was so good. Maryse– you must read this one! A few people were talking about it here a couple of posts ago. I am not sure why they said it was a rom com. The 1st chapter was hilarious but the rest of the book was funny but not a rom com. I LOVED It.LOVE LOVE LOVE. I think it’s my fave book of the year. I am not a big MMA fan because all MMA books have these douchy alpha males that are normally like 18 years old. Jack was totally alpha guy but so sweet! And it was way steamy! WOO HOO. Recommend it (but not as a Rom Com).
I read Play last night in one sitting. It was sooooo funny! Absolutely loved it, and had the most delicious dreams of Mal. (yup, a little drool on the pillow too!) I highly recommend reading this series. π
Patty it is on my top ten TBR list and I can’t wait. I’ve got a review copy but I’m waiting for it to get nearer to it’s release day so I can read it sort of with you guys!
But I’m dying for it. It’s tempting me so bad!
Heidi … I’m on SOS “sequence two”. I *squirreled* for Dominic, but wasn’t blown away by it’s second half…
Bummer.
I finished SOS over the weekend. I didn’t love it, but it was definitely an intriguing read! As far as Dominic goes… I just can’t get into it. I’m not sure if the characters are supposed to be that immature or if that’s just the writing. Either way. It didn’t live up to the fabulous cover. I stopped at 19%.
Ok thanks guys. Dominic is a no for now. Too many other titles fighting for my attention right now!
Yeah, I was very disappointed with the second half of Dominic. I started Play last night…am at 45%….and still not feeling it! Is it me? Nothing has come close to getting me over the Tristan and Danika hump….nothing….I think my expectations are really high right now! Anyone reading a book that is “unputdownable” right now? If so, please let me know what book you are reading! Thanks!
I’m early into “Play” myself, and so far, I find Mal a bit… crazy-ish. Funny-bratty but almost overwhelmingly so. True to his character from book #1, but I wasn’t as into Mal as many in our crew (personality-wise). I’m curious where it’s going, and I can definitely see angst potential, though, so I shall read on! Plus, I do love Kylie Scott’s witty writing. π
Yes, he’s definitely crazy and I find myself laughing at some points….waiting for that feeling though! I will of course continue because I LOVED Lick! Looking forward to Jimmy’s story too!
I’ve been able to get through a few reads this week. Just thought I’d share.
Beyond Jealousy: 4.5 for me I love this sexy hot series!!
Ice Seduction: didn’t hate it didn’t love it, will . Probably read the next in the series.
Dominic: First part had me feeling giddy n young again… askin myself who really does that??? Second part rolled along well enough. I think the images of the brothers in my overheated mind helped ( had to turn on the cooling fan)
On to Spin ( poor fellas been bumped around the TBR a bit)
N Now you have me intrigued with play. Licks been on TBR for bit just might have to dust it off and pull it down.
l Love your site even if my TBR & one click account doesn’t!! I swear each time I visit I add 10 books to my TBR list and 1 click at least 5 so I feel y’alls pain….it’s a good pain though kinda like after a good workout. You know your gonna be sore but it feels so good that you did it! Ckick click click. I just consider it one of my workout reps….that n swiping pages π
