Happy new release day!!! 80+ new books on today’s list with plenty that I couldn’t help but highlight. Couple that with yesterday’s 20 earlybird releases and we’ve got over 100 new books to peruse. 😀
Which ones gave me a blurb jolt? Melt for You (she’s in love with her boss, and is desperate to get his attention, and then a Rugby player moves in next door, all too willing to help ;)), The Optimist’s Guide to Letting Go (By the author “The Coincidence of Coconut Cake” about an upbeat widow working in her food truck and struggling with her mom and daughter, and she stumbles across a secret…) The Wright Love (<— K.A. Linde’s latest… and it sounds angsty and beautiful! This one is about a grieving widow and her child… and the man that wants to take care of them), How to Walk Away (She ends up in the hospital and her whole life seems like it will never be the same again…), Vanilla & Vice (oooooh sounds SUPER-STEAMY!!! He’s trying to let go of his Dom tendencies, and then he meets the most “vanilla” girl, and “…I’m into all things dark and filthy, but innocence is my kryptonite. She’s virtuous and vanilla, and vanilla is my VICE...” *waggles eyebrows* 😉 ), The Favorite Sister (psych-thriller!! Two sisters join a reality show, but one is murdered…)
And don’t EVEN get me started on yesterday’s list. The blurb jolts are BIG there. In fact… don’t forget to check out yesterday’s ➔ Monday Earlybird Book Releases list (<— THIS LIST IS A MINI POWERHOUSE!!!! Seriously… you just might squee!) Like that one right there ➔➔➔
AND my latest ➔ 4.5 star Book Review – Disturbing His Peace: The Academy by Tessa Bailey <— Oh this is a MEGA-SUPER-BOSSY ALPHA-PANTS male if I ever saw one!! 😉
LET’S READ!!!! !!!!
P.P.S. Let me know if I’m missing any or if you loved any (from this list or elsewhere).

Morning lovlies! 🙂
Melt For You sounds like a good one. I wonder if you have to read book 1 first? For me, if characters from book 1 make an appearance, then its not a true “stand alone”.
Morning!! I got 2 whole hours of sleep last night! 3-4 the night before…how am I gonna have energy for birth tomorrow? Will be walking around in a daze today getting a few things in order. Likely pretend to sleep a few times. Ughhh
On the book side, I’m almost done w/The Perfect Mother and I am loooving it. Totally, finally, gave me the same feels as Big Little Lies and that book is one of my all time faves!
Oh Tasha how you tempt me. And how I LOVE your taste in books. LOL!!!! 😛
*wishes we could all be in the waiting room giving you our good energy and love*
I can’t wait for the baby!!! <3
*happy dance*
BLOG BABY ALMOST HERE!!!
OMG THE BABY!!!! WHEN??
*scrolling back and taking calming breaths*
Ok, I have confirmed that Melt for You does NOT have crossover characters from book #1. So……
*clickety click*
OH YAY Leslie!! Thank you for that confirmation on Melt For You. I’m going to add it on the list so everyone knows. 😀
How exciting Tasha.
Hopefully Jasper will be the most even tempered baby who likes to sleep .
So happy for you.
Tasha–I’m so excited for you! I know you’re SO ready!
Scottish Rugby player?? I’m IN! And Melt for You is also only from the heroine’s pov. Looking forward to seeing if that enhances or hinders my enjoyment.
Ooh, and Vanilla & Vice looks great too!
Soon Tasha! Are they inducing, or is just the due date?
Jean, wherever you are! Look what comes out July 10th! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BK6RLSQ/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_hsch_vapi_tkin_p1_i4
I’m not on a buying freeze, but I just don’t see anything I want this month. The KA Linde, I’m holding off until I read the prior one. 🙂 All the extreme book buying happened the first this month.
That said, ugh. Stacey Marie Brown is not KU as of a few days ago. So of course, that means I have to buy the rest of the collector series. I bought two but need three and four. 🙁
I just got Tone Deaf by Olivia Rivers since it was on sale. It looks good. Abusive father, a musician who turned hearing impaired or deaf due to a brain tumor, and a rockstar. 🙂 I gotta give it a try.
Tessa!! Yay! I’ve been waiting for that to be translated!
Tasha, so exciting! You better keep us updated!
I’m finishing up At This Moment (75% mark)…..not sure I will continue the series right now with all the books I have staring me down!!
Vanilla and Vice does look good!
Tessa, just saw your comment about Tone Deaf…..I think i need that one too!
You guys!! I slept good two days in a row!!! 😀 HARD DEEP SLEEPS!!!! I’m full of energy and brains today! 😛
Thanks all! I won’t feel calm till he’s here. *eek!* They are inducing, 2 days earlier than my due date so not by too much. It’s not for any major medical reason or anything either, I’ve never been induced before so it’s new to me. My anxiety this time around is just too much so we thought this might help some.
Yanno, your little boy is NOT going to enjoy being named Lisa in my honor, but you can use it as a middle name, I’m flexible that way!!
Early congratulations – I wish you a speedy, healthy, as painless as possible birth! Good juju coming your way…and since we all can’t be there with you in the waiting room, we expect pictures as soon as you can!
Congrats on the good sleep, Maryse!
Whoa!!! What happened to my bev-monkey??
*blink blink*
Finished my other book, so I’m going to dive right into Melt for You. I’ll keep y’all posted!
Lol. I’m celebrating my My Ahjussi love for this final week.
*deep breath*
I’m a bit worried about where they will leave these characters.
*tossing blue confetti* We’re having a baby, y’all!
Congrats in advance, Tasha!! Sending quick, healthy and easy labor and delivery vibes your way. Can’t wait to hear all about the newest member of our wolfpack!
Do we have a pool going? I’m going with boy, *giggle*, 7# 8.3oz, 20.75 inches long.
Ok, gotta fly, sorry for the post and run! Miss you all, hopefully things will slow down soon!
Boy.
Lots of hair.
7lbs 2oz.
19 and 1/2 inches long.
I hate work politics and drama. Just keep my head down and work.
So I wanted to re read Men in Kilts, but slow lumpy reading and being a squirrel means it’s do back tomorrow unread.
*pfft*
Yeh Tasha, so excited for you. All the best for healthy baby and quick delivery for you!!
8lbs. 2 oz. 19 inches. 😉
Amy, I got some of that Halo Top ice cream today. Sooooo disappointed. A layer of ice on top and it tastes icy. So sad. 🙁
Hmm, going with 8lbs. 8oz. 21 inches. Sorry for the big baby wishes, but I just want him super healthy right away.
Jean, doesn’t that sound interesting? Only 51 reviews on Amazon so I get to go in with a bunch of cluelessness.
Oh, and I’m almost done with His Pawn by Emily Snow. Believable? Nah. Fun and sexy. YEP. Totally enjoyable.
Alright, if we were the fairy godmother of sleeping beauty what would we wish on him?
Serious: Empathy for others.
Frivolous: Good hair. Like Patrick Dempsy hair.
Serious – Joy for life
Frivolous – Perfect lips
Good luck, Tasha!
I’m guessing 7 lbs 15 oz and 20-1/4 inches
Still reading Act Like It (and LOVING IT. 70% in. So good. The banter! Aaah hoping to finish it tonight.) but Dear Dwayne, With Love looks great (still adore Must Love Otters by that author) and Another One by Aleatha Romig who I just adore – read the “prequel” freebie, A Secret One, to this a couple weeks ago and it had me hooked.
Thinking of you Tasha and hope all goes well.
And because I love her voice and babies make me think of this song :
https://youtu.be/c_GKZNvPD-4
Jen I’m so glad you like it! It was one of my favorites when it came out. Love the setting.
So tonight is the second to last My Ahjussi…… I am so nervous.
*dashes in to see if we have baby news yet* *tosses bubble gum cigars*
Keeping you in my thoughts today, Tasha. Is this our first Blog Baby? OMG. How exciting.
I just finished Karina Halle’s latest. Gave it four stars. I like her writing, and it was a good contemporary romance – May/December, forbidden. It just wasn’t rocking my world and it won’t be a re-read, does that make sense? I sound like such a book snob.
Now what?
We are guessing weight?
7 lbs 11 oz – 21.5 inches
What kind of creepy Avatar is that, Bev??? I miss the Orangutan.
Maryse, (and anyone else who has read Pull Me Close) I am FREAKING out! I seriously have anxiety. I dont like what is happening at end. Somebody come snuggle with me while I finish this!!!
*snuggles Leslie*
*secretly snickers on the inside*
😉
7 lbs 5 oz…..20 inches
Can’t wait to hear some news from Tasha….. she was scheduled for today right?
MichelleS, it’s from her My Ahjussi avatar.
Jean–yes, they were inducing her today.
Whew!! Miss a day, miss a lot! I’ve been trying to only get samples of the pricier books, but that goes out the window today because The Optimist’s Guide to Letting Go, How to Walk Away, and The Harper Effect are MINE. Then there’s One Baby Daddy, Bad Boy Brody, Breathe, Another One (I want to know what the “it” is that happened!), Anti-Cinderella, and possibly We’ll Begin Again. Clickity-click! 😀
Leslie, I freaking loved Pull Me Close! Hang in there….all worth it!
Hi Amy!
It’s the heroine of My Ahjussi. My favorite heroine of the moment.
Oh wow, baby day? Awwww…
I suck at guessing things so I’m just gonna say healthy and a boy. 😛
Now to catch up: YAY for Maryse’s sleeps…Tone Deaf sounds FANTASTIC…I’m loving bev’s love for her Ahjussi…BOOO Cheryl, that’s horrible because Halo Top is usually great :(…and BOOO MichelleS for books that don’t rock our worlds…I’ve definitely liked Emily Snow’s books in the past so I’ll check Tessa’s rec.
I think that covers it?
Hi Jean!!! Miss you, my friend. *hugs*
He’s heeeerre!!! TGIO (thank god it’s over). Lol Labor went well, my easiest yet. They had to redo the epi once and I kinda sorta touched it so I could die later, I took the risk! 😛 It really is stressing me a little, lol. But other than that, it went well. He has a little Mohawk, I haven’t chosen name yet. 8lb 20 1/4in long! Thank you all for your well wishes!!
YAYYYYYYYYY!!!! OUR BLOG BABY IS BORN!!!!!!!!!!
He has NO NAME YET!!!! Let’s name him!!!!
Jasper Nathaniel!
Greer
Travis!!
Ooooooooh!! Kellan!! I LOVE THAT NAME 😀
Hi Amy! I did buy a second Halo Top. *giggle* Trying that one tonight. *fingers crossed*
Yeh Tasha!!!!!!!!!!!!! Glad all went well. Give little mohawk a hug and kiss for me. 🙂
Our blog baby! Congrats Tasha!!!!!
Oooh, big healthy baby! Congratulations Tasha and welcome little mohawk!
Nay is closest. She was an ounce off.
Congrats Tasha!!!!! #BLOGBABY <3
Congrats Tasha!!! 😀
The blog baby has arrived!!!
Yippee!!!
Tasha, So glad you and baby are doing well. Can’t wait to hear name you choose. You decided against Jasper?
Tasha! Congratulations. Love that he has a Mohawk.
Can’t wait to hear the name.
I saw that My Ahjussi was up with subs and got a little thrill. I feel like I need snacks for the next (last) 2 eps.
Maryse …..I wish you’d watch.
Congrats, Tasha!
Hmm, maybe I need to play the lotto?? lol
Oooh fun. As long as Tasha knows we love Jasper.
Maryse, you need to get a blog puppy so we can vote on a name.
I still stand by St. John pronounced Sink in.
Names….lets see….
bev, I’d love a blog puppy!!! But the name has to start with a P. When it comes to dogs, I love “p” names. LOL!!
Hobbit already had her name when I got her and I didnt want to change it. It suits her. But if I DID change it, It would have been Poppet.
LOL. Hobbit/Poppet. Almost the same.
Yay!!! our baby is here! *sets off the blue confetti and glitter cannons* So happy that mama and babe are doing well!!! Congratulations!
Nathaniel (Nate)
Tatum (Tate)
Cillian…i like Irish names and the actor.
Hezekiah…always thought it was a cool name and from a book.
Could do something like Pete Wentz (Fall Out Boy guitarist) who LOVES Marvel comics and named his daughter Marvel and name him (since we LOVE books, duh) Booker. *snickers*
Marvel is cute, but it does make me think of Miss Marvel who did not have a happy ending.
Congrats Tasha!
And Bev. Oh gosh, Act Like It was just what I needed! I did finish it last night and I’m still all caught up in it. Not what I was expecting at all. Such a refreshing read.
Jasper’s not off the list, I just want to be sure…here’s my current ‘narrowed down’ list: Jasper Lee
Milo David
Fisher Lee
Porter
Wyatt
Warren
Dex
Will
Ooooh I like Porter!!! 😀
P.S. How COOOOOOL is it that Tasha has already checked in with us about her baby!!!!!!
Oh crap! Tasha those are all really great names. When I was pregnant (I only have one, a son) I would have sworn on my life I was having a girl so I told hubs “ya, sure…you can pick the name”. I yelled at ultrasound tech when she told me I was having a boy. Hee hee. So, no name drama for me.
FLT: I’ve never even had sex on the beach, no less made one.
Rebel Heir by Vi Keeland
Ooo, I like how you snuck Darkest Perception in there thinking I wouldn’t notice….CLICK!!
I vote for Porter!!!! It has a strong book boyfriend vibe to it!!!
Congratulations, Tasha. So glad both you and the little guy are doing well!
Awww, definitely name him Will! *stars and hearts and lots of glitter*
My sincere wish for blog baby Will is respect. Which can be intrepreted in so many ways. Respect for self, others, the world… Yep that’s my serious wish.
My fun wish is that he’s the total package… And that’s all I’m gonna say about a 1 day old kid… 😆
I love the name Wyatt!

“Mama has been dying all day.”
My Soul to Keep by Kennedy Ryan
My vote is for Porter!!! So happy for you Tasha!
FLT: The short-term parking lot shimmered like an urban mirage. (We All Fall Down, Book #2)
Yes, I’m a sucker for punishment!
I adore Milo David, but Fisher Lee makes me think Fisher Price. 😛 Dex, be careful since Dexter was so popular (serial killer). 😀 Porter is the guy who carries luggage for a living.

Nero by Sarah Brianne
Porter is cute. I met a little boy named that once. Does make me think of the song, Hey Porter. But it’s a good song.
I like them all….not that that matters. And they are all spelled correctly. Not going to lie, cute made up spellings drive me nuts.
Like Millo and Wiyatt.
I like Wyatt a lot. Soft spot for Milo.
Just saw Jasper described as rascally which made me smile and think of you.

They are all awesome names Tasha! Let that little guy tell you!
Very cool.
FLT: “I rush down the crowded sidewalk, and a nervous sweat has broken out in all my most unglamorous places.” Bad Romeo, Leisa Rayven
I’m loving this book so hard. My life would be so much easier if you guys would just show up and hold me down when you tell me to read a book instead of letting me “get around to it.” 🙄
That’s one of the ones that did not work for me. I found the heroine so ridiculous.
R. I loved that book. I still need to buy the second one, but I loved it.
FLT: “What’s on the menu tonight, Ryn?” a man heckled from the far end of the crowded bar.” – BloodOath, the darkest Drae. On my Kindle forever. Finally getting to it.
I like Barrett for a name, that way his nickname can be Bear. 🙂
Ooooh, Michelle! I loved that one too! 🙂
R! I loved that duet like crazy! 😀
Tessa, I have no idea how you didn’t go straight into the second one. Slap my a$$ and call me Sally.
bev…not surprised you didn’t like her. *snort*

“Dublin is a city with eyes.” ~ Fragile Lies by Laura Elliot
Ok, he’s officially Jasper Lee now. It was down to Jasper or Porter and we couldn’t decide, and then a family member mentioned how similar Porter sounded to another name in the family and it ruined it for me. Lol
I LOVE JASPER!!!!
The name AND our blog baby! YAY Tasha!!!!! I’m so thrilled for you and your sweet snuggle baby.
Jasper Lee!!!! I love it Tasha! Hope all is well!
That’s perfect Tasha! I’m so happy for you! <3
Thanks! He’s a little cuddle bug today and since I can’t sleep, I’m catching up on some reading. Maryse, and anyone else who is interested, the review for The Summer Children I mentioned the other day is up. I wanted to know if I could read them as standalones and I skimmed a bunch so I wouldn’t spoil for myself, but at the end she addresses that. I think I’ll read these next! https://crimebythebook.com
I like Jasper Lee. It’s seriously cute and he can wear it with dignity when he’s older. 😀 And He might be into Disney villains as a result (One of Cruella De’Ville’s minion was named Jasper.)
Amy, nope. I keep meaning to, but I keep forgetting. Also, the 7.99 price makes me go and look at the other books I want. 😛
Come on. That heroine was like those dogs that won’t leave your leg alone. She didn’t love him she just thought he was super hot. And if another super hot guy came along she’d have just switched to him.
Jasper Lee is an awesome name!
Maybe because I’m not reading right now, but I keep wanting to stress shop. It’s horrible and surprising. I’m cheap usually. But very stressed and keep having to fight the urge to shop.
Alright, if he can’t be Will… he can be Jasper! *giggle* Hope you and the fam are all doing well, Tasha, and that you get to go home and settle in soon!
Next one pregnant totally has to name their baby Will though… because… just because. Right, Jan? Jean? Melinda? someone back me up here!
Anywho… I’m totally drowning in baseball mom stuff and I haven’t really started yet, but this will be the book I read tonight.
FLT: ~ My heart thrummed painfully as I pulled Ivy closer to my chest and put my lips to her hair. ~ Fox by Max Monroe (Book 3 in the Stone Cold Fox trilogy out May 20th)
Will, I do like it! But, when I thought of it the night before I kept saying it like the Stranger Things kids. Lol
Awwww, Jasper makes me think of Twilight. Congrats Tasha!! I miss the snuggle days.
FLT:
“It isn’t what you think. I promise.” Worth the Risk by K. Bromberg. Third book in an inter-related standalone series about 3 brothers. The cover bugs me. The other two were guys dressed in the uniform that there characters were. This one is so generic. Could have had a cool helicopter with pilot standing in front of it.
You guys!
Look look look….
A romcom with Keanu & Winona. The trailer looks good.
https://www.laineygossip.com/winona-ryder-and-keanu-reeves-in-destination-wedding-trailer/49926
Keanu is my main famous actor boyfriend. I have no others to tell you the truth. 😉 LOL!
Bev, that was weirdly funny!
Karina Halle must be infatuated with the upcoming royal wedding…last two books H is a prince. 😉
I want to watch it , I hope it’s good. I really like both of them.
Tasha! Congrats to you and your family on the safe arrival of Jasper Lee. Great name BTW. So thrilled for you. Our blog baby! *group hugs everyone*
Cheryl, have you seen the Swedish prince irl? She probably saw a pic of him and had fantasies about him. Prince Carl Philip, Duke of Värmland is HOT. And married. lol%3Fw%3D435&w=800&q=85
