Oh my, Neverland sounds SO good!!
I’m simultaneously reading 2 books right now. After so long of not reading, it feels amazing. 😉
AND this morning I awoke to my preorder that I didn’t realize was coming just yet, how exciting!!! It’s this 1- https://www.amazon.com/Ladys-Guide-Petticoats-Piracy-ebook/dp/B075QC4JWM/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1538480554&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=the+lady%27s+guide+to+petticoats+and+piracy
Also, good morning! Today calls for ICED coffee. Since it probably won’t be warm like this forever, I will drink it up now while I can.
I think I need to read An Easy Death by Charlaine Harris too. Because my tbr is not long enough yet. 😛
Good morning. *Stretches and yawns* I am so tired. It seems like we are all a bunch of insomniacs around here. Too bad we can’t all meet at Maryse’s for some coffee. 😉
So I think I am still slump-ish. No 4.5 or 5 star reads for me since July. 🙁
Yay, Tasha! And iced coffee sounds wonderful. I think I’ll make some with my NutriBullet.
I can’t believe Consumed is out and I still haven’t read the short stories. I started the first one and it didn’t snag my attention, but I’m not giving up.
I see a new Fae book up there! And it doesn’t appear to be YA (yay!) and it’s been nominated for awards. I’ll definitely be giving it a try.
Leslie–I’m open for another BR anytime!
Sounds like you need a great book Leslie, have you read Beartown? It’ll knock you in the feels!
**Attn. Leslie** Long Live the Beautiful Hearts by Emma Scott has a blurb and release date of Oct. 18! 😉
*rubs eyes and yawns* Good morning, ladies…did someone make coffee? Good lord, poor sleep must be contagious because I woke up at least a half dozen times last night. 🙄
Neverland…what the heck?? That guy sounds like all kinds of messed up. Still, I’m intrigued. He can’t be as bad as Aiden from Her Master’s Courtesan, right? *shudders*
Attn. Leslie.
Watch the psychological thriller with me. It starts tomorrow.
Tessa, I watched the first season of Riverdale.
I loved Jug and Betty. That their names are really Jughead and Jellybean is hilarious.
It was interesting to see the parents. The young cool actors in the 80 & 90s.
Tasha I read the first book in that series loved it.
Amy, come on. Watch with me.
Remember when you left me in Russia?
Come to Korea.
I went to Alaska with everyone.
There are a lot up there catching my attention today. Neverland and ooh, a new ‘stranded’ book: Off the Map. The last ‘stranded on an island’ book I read was a bit of a disappointment; maybe this one will be better. And then I’ve got Medicine Man coming up next. Really looking forward to that one–I love it when I want to read so many at once!
Do any of those interest you, Leslie? A couple of them are kind of short at around 200 pages.
Also, I remember the mention of Colleen Hoover’s Verity not long ago but somehow missed the blurb.
Until now.
HOLY. MOLY. *Click!!!* Well, preorder *click* but it’s so mine in December. 😉
Alright bev, I’ll watch with you.
There. I said it. And I’ll do it.
Tomorrow, right?
Man, it’s not even 7:00 in the morning and I’m already craving Korean BBQ…
My husband’s best friend is Korean and has a food kiosk in hubs’ building, so we get authentic Korean food frequently (we got BBQ ribs last Friday) Yum! It’s especially good when his friend’s mom (who was born and raised in Korea) makes it.
Really???
Amy!!
I’m jumping inside.
Next time you have an awesome read I’ll read it without even checking if they die in the end.
Yes, tomorrow. And Thursday. 16 eps in all. BUT if you hate it or just dont care for it, then like our reads , tell me and stop watching.
It’s on Viki and it’s called The Smile Has Left Your Eyes.
I love the lead actors.
This is so us right now.
Marsye the Jamie McGuire book has been out for a while.
AH yes, that’s right Theresa. It moved up, but I copied and pasted that from my old list. Thank you!
Okay, if insomnia is contagious – I think we’ve all caught it. I of course am wide awake from 3:00 am until it is actually time to get up and go to work! Ugh! I did sneak a little reading in though…:-)
Where are our glitter tossers?? I miss dancing in the glitter…
Neverland is an eye catcher…and a few others. I also saw the post that Long Live the Beautiful Hearts by Emma Scott has an Oct 18 release date (thanks R!). This means I can give myself permission to read the first one now since the second one is on its way…. it was so close, I figured I’d wait…I just need to tuck it in amongst the Elite saga …
Happy Tuesday ladies!
I’m reading Neverland right now. I’m 50% in and so far it’s pretty good. I’m not yet crazy over it (it’s not QUITE what I expected and was hoping for it to be from that blurb), yet I feel compelled to finish it.
3am, what’s special about 3am, hmmm? It does always seem to be around that time. And it’s October. Perhaps it’s stronger then…(the spirits) I do happen to remember that from watching those paranormal shows or something.
3am is the witching hour. Also known as the time I wake up … Every. Freaking. Day now it seems. But, because this is my happy place. *glitter bomb*
I have to stop my Eagle Elite party. I don’t want to, but I don’t have book 3 and I can’t buy it til Friday… So I don’t know what I aam going to read.
I overslept this morning–I woke up at 4am on the dot and turned on the tv. Somehow I managed to go back to sleep for another 80 minutes though.
Grey-I want to read this series anyway so I bought book 3 and will loan it to you-I want you to continue your party girl as I love your updates reading this series. Just need your email address
The Eagle Elite books aren’t loanable, sadly. 🙁 When you all get to Elude, tell me. I’ll buddy read it with you all. That’s where I’m stuck. DO NOT READ BANG BANG UNTIL AFTER ELUDE!
Bev, I’m almost done with the second season. They have their real names but it isn’t spoken of except the dad is FP until the second half of the second season. And then, only Jughead’s name. 🙂
Tessa it shows I can loan it
Really? Awesome. So only Elect is the exception? Weird.
Maryse-There is a book that I’ve had on my radar and it comes out October 9 and it is “Love, Sincerely, Yours” by Sara Ney& Meghan Quinn. Looks so FUN! Can’t wait! Just wish it was already out as this is the kind of read I need after I finish Tristan/Danika series!
Jenn both those authors are awesome & hilarious!!! YES!!!!
Lots of goodies there today but nothing *really* grabbing me. I was intrigued by the Lady’s Guide To Petticoats and Piracy till I saw it’s YA :/ I’m on a non-YA kick (a long one LOL). Damn.
Off The Map maybe??????
*tosses glitter for Michele* *shrugs* Somebody had to do it.
Finally able to sit down and catch up on posts and comments.
I am unfortunately on the insomnia bandwagon. I think it must be barometric pressure or something seasonally related. Even my dog seems to be in on it. I feel like I toss and turn and then when I feel like I’ve just fallen asleep, she starts whining to go out. Ugh, can’t win.
Finished Stealing Sawyer. Sweet, angsty sports romance. Last book in standalone, interconnected series. Loved all three books!
Cheryl–I am having the exact same problem with our dog!
*tosses Grey’s glitter*
Morning! I am in a better mood today as I at least got some sleep last night.
Still searching for a great read and looking forward to Emma Scott’s latest duet. Michele said she would BR with me. We plan to start book one on the 17th. 🙂
Hmmmm….Beartown? That one sounds not enough romance for me. But the baseball ones Cheryl mentioned might be good.
I want to try watching Riverdale sometime. I have wicked crush on Luke Perry. Bev, I hope your new series lives up to the hype.
You never know, it might be just what you need, Leslie. There’s enough going on with the characters I didn’t miss it. Amy! It’s difinitely an Amy book too.
I also watched Riverdale. I liked it a lot. I’ve never read the comics so it was all new to me. I remember when I commented on it someone said Archie drove them nuts and I said I could see how. I like Jug, his Dad, Betty and her Mom. And Cheryl!!
Thanks, me too. 🙂
Today is the day!
Fingers crossed.
It’s called the Smile Has Left Your Eyes and it is on Viki.
You all should give it a shot. It might be fun. Shake it up a bit.
Be careful if you look it up it’s based on a Japanese movie and you don’t want to be spoiled.
The movie title is A Hundred Million Stars from the Sky also what the drama is being called in some places.
I love Riverdale!!
I think I have to take a break from Enforce and move on to Entice. Enforce is really good but it’s basically a re-telling of Elite from other characters’ points of view – – which is good to find out their backgrounds – – but not different enough to keep my attention right now. So… I’m gonna have to move forward and maybe come back to this one down the road. Tessa, we’ll let you know when we get to Elude!
I will be taking a break for Emma Scott’s Beautiful Hearts duet BR with Leslie – – yay can’t wait!!
I have Beartown on my list. I have heard great things from several people! I did enjoy A Man Called Ove by the same author. It is a different read though and I have to be in the right frame of mind for it. I’m mostly a romance junkie but I do like other stuff periodically. It sometimes helps to “clean your palate” so to speak.
Leslie and Michele–let me know when y’all start the 2nd book and I’ll read it with you. Are you going to set up a BR for each on GR??
Yes, Nay…I will do separate threads for each book on GR. I will make announcements too so if others want to join. I know most have already read first one. I wanted to wait til 2nd book out because I don’t want ANY wait time in between. I am antsy like that. 😉
I’ll do the BR with you too. I’ve been waiting for book 2 before starting book 1. I just love the cover of Bring Down the Stars. 🙂
Omg I’m so excited (and scared) to read the Silver Cord!! The Silver Cage gutted me.
Yay Cheryl!! I thought mostly everyone already read it. This is going to be fun. *tosses more glitter*
Thank you, Michelle G. I seriously need to get over that hump and finally just read it so I can read the rest of the series. (seriously DO NOT READ BANG BANG UNTIL AFTER!)
I am on the last episode of season 2. Though can we point out that Archie is the football/basketball playing rockstar who all the girls think looks hot? O.o It sounds like the beginning of some of the over the top books we get sometimes.
First ep only 36 % subbed.
Hopefully by the time I get home. I do not feel good want pajamas and bed and drama.
Tessa, I so would if been crushing on Jughead.
lol If they weren’t so young, I’d be crushing on Reggie. (side note, he also has the prettiest lips outside of Sweet Pea, who looks like someone I want to make sure his babysitter is around).
Lol. Everyone seems so young now.
My show is only 45% subbed. Not sure if I’ll be able to watch tonight. Might have to wait till tomorrow.
I started watching Tru Blood last night. And it was so addicting I stayed up until midnight!
OMG I LOVED True Blood. I was so addicted and Eric was my love. 😉
I loved True Blood too!!! I may have to rewatch at some point!! It was awesome! And yes Maryse…Eric was the best …well he was the worst but he looked good doing it 🙂
It’s Lisa’s birthday today!! We need sparkly cocktails!
FLT: “Testosterone and entitlement. The air is thick with both.” Block Shot by Kennedy Ryan.
Still only around 50% because I’ve been busy with beta reading and writing, but I’m hoping to dive back in tonight!
Happy Birthday, Lisa!!
FLT:
“I remember the day I lost my mind.”
Medicine Man by Saffron Kent
I finally finished the series and although book 2 will stand out to me for what it did to me book 3 was the most perfect conclusion to. I still have “happy tears” I just loved it so much. It was everything I hoped for and more! This series as a whole “rocked my world” 🙂
Jenn, now you have to go listen to LP’s Lost on You like Amy made me do!
Oh no she didn’t R-but yes I had to do it. Made me cry all over again but it is so perfectly fitting.
Okay so after what my heart has gone through in the last week I have decided on my next read and since I loved the first book so much I am going to read another….and well yeah because this one is Zeke’s book 🙂
FLT:
He Isn’t Hard To Spot.
How To Date A Douchebag-The Failing Hours Sara Ney
Just finished Sweet Insanity. Started a little rough, but then it seemed the author got into her writing stride and I ended up really liking it.
Now to choose a book for FLT…
I couldn’t watch my drama last night because it hadn’t been fully translated……but tonight it is on!
bev! I definitely did NOT forget about my promise to you, and I will be watching it starting tomorrow (they are available to watch then, right?). Yesterday and the day before were just the sh!tiest of all sh!t days, and I ended up getting off work past 9:00 both days after working 13 hours. And today is not looking much better. Seriously, I just want to stick people and collect blood, not deal with all this other sh!t!!!! UGH! I almost turned in my two-week notice more than once.
*sigh*
I am grateful though to have a job. I know that’s more than what a lot of people have.
So. Tomorrow. And I promise never to make you read a death book, LOL!
Looking forward to catching up on ALL of the comments when I get another moment to breathe, but I have to say…
JENN!!!! So glad you stuck with it!! Happy tears indeed. 😀 And that song, Lost on You…ohhhhhh, my heart. It will ALWAYS be T&D’s song.
I didnt watch yesterday either. Not translated. I try to be patient because the translators on Viki are so good and do it for free.
I had a couple bad days at work too and did the same thing. Had to remind myself I’m thankful for my job, lol.
But I dont have 13 hour days or blood to deal with. And then I get to sit in the grass on a warm autumn day and a walking wobbling marshmallow with a binky just plops down in my lap for hugs….its pretty good. Lol.
I haven’t seen too much of Eric yet. I’ve definitely forgot a lot about the books though.
Lafayette is the best. Him and Pam. And Terry.
OMG bev, that was the most precious description of your job. Lucky you. 😉
FLT:
“Wow. I’m not in California anymore.” ~ I Like You, I Love Her by JR Rogue
Loved Eric though I stopped watching it in the middle of a certain season.
No FLT currently because I just finished re-reading Fall by Rachel Van Dyken. (Seriously LOVE the seaside series)
The young woman cut through the crowded New York sidewalk like a knife.
An Unkindness of Magicians by Kat Howard.
Ohhh Amy, I’m intrigued by that book’s blurb. Update on how it is!
Still searching for my FLT.
Most days I like my job, but this year already been hit hard with the cold and flu season! Ugh!!
Now I’m at an airport so I can find a book to read next. My niece is getting married on Sat. 😀
Oh and for those keeping count, yes, 3 niece’s got married this year.
Have a safe flight Tessa! And a blast at that wedding. 🙂
I love weddings!! Have fun Tessa. 😀
Have fun. Hope it’s in a fun local.
In the mood for something funny. Seem to remember someone commenting about a funny book they read and maybe there was a goat??
Cheryl! Let’s Get Textual was hilarious, sexy AND had a goat!!!!
Tessa, so funny because as I was reading your post, I was thinking how many freaking neices do you have?? *giggles*
Leslie. OMG I just started listening to that one earlier today on Hoopla. Must have put it on my hoopla after your previous comment!!!
Now to find something to read…
Tessa–I was also wondering how many nieces you have. My niece is getting married *next* Saturday. Hope you have fun!

If any of you are Terrible fans, I just read this on Stacia Kane’s website. It was posted in July, 2018 (the first time she’s posted in almost 2 years):
“I am still working on Downside 6. It’s happening. I promise.”
SQUEE!!!!!!!!
I always forget what a chicken I am. It kind of creeped me out.
