THIS ONE IS GOING LIVE AT MIDNIGHT IT’S LIVE!!! π I’m just crushing on this cover so hard, and the premise of Shameless King? Even harder!
He’s the college hockey star and she’s not impressed. π I love enemies-to-lovers romance stories (the push-pull… mostly push), how hard we end up pining and fuming, and better yet? How hard we have to work to get that ultimate ending. This one sounds like one of those!
Seems like the whole shebang when the author described it as a “…laugh out loud, grab the tissues, need a cold shower
read...” and we even have a free prequel (Kings of Rittenhouse – A Shameless King Prequel) to read to get us ready!! βββ
Just a little excerpt from the Shameless KingΒ blurb:
…After a blow out in high school, Makenna Halstead and I were happy to never have to cross paths again. Except life has a way of knocking you straight in the teeth with a puck when you least expect it. She hasnβt just returned to my life, she crashed into it like a wrecking ball…into my college kingdom, into my class, and smack dab into the seat next to mine. My new lab partner to be exact.
For years we hated each other… I may be King on the ice, but she is the Ice Queen. She has no problem calling me out…

Love your blog!
This looks great and love swag!! I dont recall any memorable school partner pairings, but I do remember the frog dissection in science!
Awesome. My favorite parter pairing in school was a new girl no one would talk to but I was shy. We became friends
My memorable “relationship” was in college. Funny to say this but I was a young freshman and he was a senior and also (believe it or not) played on the schools hockey team. He was the goalie. Our relationship was all sexual. Everytime we met it was just explosive. The kind if sex that you shamelessly beg for more. Anyway about 3 months into the relationship, I was at one of the games and after the game I went to meet him. I met this girl who was there to meet her husband as a surprise. Yep, you guessed it. Come to find out he was married. I’ve never felt such raw hunger like that since .
Love the blog
Thanks for the chance to try out a new-to-me author!
This teacher is off for the summer & ready to read…. bring on sime hot, romance books please!!
I was partnered with a football player in a college science class for the semester. One of his teammates made a comment during class that my partner had drunkenly made out with both of my roommates (at different times). My partner thought it would be a good idea to kiss me in the middle of class so that he could βcomplete the trifecta.β Luckily for me, he had a great body, some tattoos and a dope blue truck. I pretended to be annoyed with him, but really it wasnβt so bad βΊοΈ
Love watching your videos Maryse!!! So adorable!
love swag. And new to me authors. Thanks for the chance.
I usually don’t leave comments – but I love trying out new authors ….. so here goes π
Sounds like a fun book!!
High school is were I met my partner for life, my husband of 36 years!
Love the idea haven’t read any of her books but would love the chances
Thank you for the opportunity, for *all* of the opportunities, Maryse! You’re awesome and we are so blessed to have you.
Thank you for your generosity, Ms. Hughes! What a great premise, because we all have had some sort of experience with this… maybe not to this level… but surely if we think back, we’ve all been partnered with someone that wasn’t our ideal lab mate. I had one when I was in 7th grade… picture this, me-super nerdy, pretty geeked out girl with the thick glasses, crooked teeth, and all sorts of awkward… paired with the cutest boy who played all of sports in wood shop. Happened again in microbiology in college; me- no longer awkward, but very motivated, fast tracking all the science and math I can handle with a guy who is looking to bang anything that moves and fluent in flirt. Ai yi yi….
GREY!!!!
Someone needs to write YOUR inspirational moments!! π LOL!!! Oh hey! I know… how about YOU? :D!!!
I remember we did our labs alone. Looking forward to reading this book! Love your blog, Maryse!
This is a new author to me. Thank you for the opportunity!
The most memorable was when I was paired with the school “pot-head” for an Electronics lab in HS and he tired to use our circuits to make a lighter so he could “toke just a little, to see if it would work”. Needless to say he started a little fire – that drew the teacher’s attention and ended his chances of lighting up…I was also given a new partner!!
This book sounds great!
I just remember the dreaded square dancing pairings in gym class!
When I was in Biology class. I was partnered with a sweet boy who wanted to be a priest. When we had to bisect a frog, and I just could not do it, he did it all because he knew how sensitive I was. I’ve never forgotten the sweet boy, and wonder if he ever did become a priest. I have not thought of him in years, until your question.
In biology, the teacher assigned lab partners before classes even started. He picked my best friend and I as partners, the whole class groaned. That was interesting but very fun.
Uncomfortable pairing with ex boyfriend in Physics lab in high school. Still makes me cringe 30 years later!!
Wow would love the chance to win…
I was a loner in school…not in any click at all. I met my now husband the first week of my freshman year I was 14 and he was 20…oh taboo…for that reason I really didnt hang out in school at all. So I would say my pairing would have been w him.. I was 14, he was 20 …we met when I called a pay phone and he answered…37 years later , married 30 years this year…I think it was a successful pairing..just saying…
