Laura: Tailspin by Jaime Roberts is a recent release that might be of interest to you. Based on the reviews, it’s a book that is either a one star or a five star read with no middle ground. It was my first one star review of 2017.

  • All the Lies We Tell (Quarry Book 1) by Megan Hart <— MEGAN HART ALERT!!! Recent release and Sharon gave it 4 stars!!!
Sharon: Finished All The Lies We Tell by Megan Hart. Excellent beach reading – even though it wasn’t a beach book. There was a nice amount of angst (probably a 3 out of 5) and it was a really good story. This is a series, but book 1 didn’t leave you hanging for Allie and Niko. I am looking forward to book 2. Contrary to the Amazon reviews, it wasn’t overly laden with sex either – in fact, it was a slow burn. Ooooh – I would give All The Lies We Tell 4 stars!
  • Give Me Hell (Give Me series Book 4) by Kate McCarthy <— LIVE!! KATE McCARTHY ALERT!! I’ve heard this series has a “KA” feel!!   • Torn (Devils Wolves Book 1) and Tied (Devils Wolves Book 2) by Carian Cole <— CARIAN COLE IS ROCKING WORLDS RIGHT NOW!!! UNCONVENTIONAL LOVE STORIES ALERT!!

Vicki: OMG Both books were awesome. Never read this author before so wasn’t sure what to expect. Torn was such a good taboo read and Tied hit me with all kinds of feels. Haven’t had a book hangover like that in soooo long!!

Tammy: Read both of these last week and they were amazing! Torn made my tummy flip like crazy (many many butterflies) and Tied was just as awesome but in a different way. 🙂

Kathy: I have read all of her books. I loved her Ashes and Embers Series. Just finished Tied and what the two main characters had to go through was just so heartbreaking. It definitely gave you the heart pulls.

Northernstar: I just finished Tied and it was full of feels! A touching story of two scarred souls coming together in a emotional and gripping read. Now, I need to read Torn. I’m keeping my eye on this author…

  • Riven by Lissa Del <— MELISSA DELPORT LOVE STORY WITH A PSYCH-TWIST ALERT!!! Remember how much I loved THIS one??? It’s super-bargain priced today! P.S. Here’s my review in case you missed it.

Amy: I loved this one and won’t forget it (how could I with what I just went through?), and the author will always be an automatic click no matter what name she uses.

Melinda: I am reading Dear Aaron, I’ve had it for ages. I CANNOT put it down. It is sooo good. Best book this year. Our plane got delayed from Niagara Falls and I couldn’t care less as I was reading.

  • The Idea of You: A Novel by Robinne Lee <—FORBIDDEN ROMANCE ALERT!!! She takes her daughter to a boy-band concert… “…since her divorce, she’s more eager than ever to be close to Isabelle. The last thing Solène expects is to make a connection with one of the members of the world-famous August Moon…” Eeeeeep!! 😀 Susan found it for us!!
Can: OMG!!! I just finished reading a book by a new author and it was a 4.5- 5 star read for me. I could not put it down. It’s been a really long time since a book captivated me like this one. It’s called The idea of you by Robinne Lee.. Forbidden romance. Older woman, younger man/boy. This is the author’s debut novel and she hit it out of the ball park. You have to read it. You will not be disappointed. I want a second book. Not sure I am happy with the way it ended because I want more!!!
  • Seven: A Club Alias Novel by K.D. Robichaux <— LIVE!!   • Until It Fades: A Novel by K.A. Tucker <— K.A. TUCKER ALERT!! She saves a famous hockey star (and it’s back on the list ’cause another fellow reader recommends it!!
Angela: Hey Maryse, I just finished reading until it fades by K.A Tucker. I loved it. It’s not her usual stuff but it was still awesome. I was sucked in right from the start. I only wish it would have lasted a bit longer. Towards the end it seemed to be concluded in 1 chapter. 4 stars.

Reader Question – The book about her twin that is trying to ruin her life…

Aleah needs our book help! And all I can say about that twin is … oh this is gonna make me fume!! 😉 And I can’t wait to know which one it is.

She asks:

Help! I’m looking for a book.

I want to say I remember it being about a girl who has gone off to college, meets a guy and falls in love with him. The problem is her identical twin sister is the worst, trying to ruin her life and ends up sleeping with said boyfriend.

Can you think of a book like this that sounds familiar? Please help! I read it like 4 years ago and can’t for the life of me recognize the cover in my kindle titles

Viki: Both Toxic Girl by Chantal Fernando and Twinsequences Ivy (Twisted Twin Book 2) (by Jennifer Foor) are along those line but not exactly.

AM: This is bugging me now. Sounds like a biker book I read a while ago. But can’t name it. A series I think. The girl loves him and flees when she sees his betrayal. She doesn’t have contact with family or parents visit but have to keep her location secret. She makes friends with some girls finally and they convince her to go out. She runs into her ex love and that’s when he finally knows where she is and their story starts. I remember that much but not much more. I’m thinking biker book because H was known by a different name. Went by nickname that I can’t remember. Wondering what that book is now.

Gabby needs us to help her find this book!!

I know for a fact I haven’t read this one, but I already have a few options bouncing in my head as to what this one might be. But since I haven’t read ’em, I won’t dare to venture a guess. That said I’m sure someone here knows this one!

She asks:

Hi! Can you help me find the name of this book, I believe it’s a series too.

The heroine is American but goes to I believe Ireland or Russia as an undercover to find out who killed her parents? The hero is an amputee ( I believe he was missing half his leg) she believes his family is the one who murder them but I ended up being the uncle?

Ah it’s driving me nuts not remembering

Anyone have a guess?

April: This sort of sounds like The Sin Trilogy by Georgia Cates. The heroine is American and goes to Scotland undercover to infiltrate the family she believes killed her mother. The hero in that has a prosthetic leg. It’s a 3-book series to start with and then has other spin offs cantered around other characters.

Book lover: It’s definitely Georgia Cates The Sin Trilogy. I have read the series and loved it.

Kerry Lonsdale – The Kerry Lonsdale Collection (Everything We Keep Series Reading Order)

I came across this as a “series” by accident when I read (and went crazy over) the blurb for book #2 which was just released. Oooops. I suppose I read a serious spoiler, but it sounded SO good, and even knowing where book #2 goes, makes me want to backtrack and read this intense-sounding series. And then I found out a few of our fellow readers LOVE this series!

Amanda: Omg I just read Everything We Keep from this list and it was amazing.

Amy: Everything We Keep was really, really good and my heart absolutely ACHED at the end…and then the last chapter happened (or epilogue, can’t remember what it was) and my jaw hit the floor. Not sure though if I’ll be reading the sequel.

Lisa: I can highly recommend Everything We Keep and Everything We Left Behind by Kerry Lonsdale, my angst/marmy loving friends. Both were fantastic reads – very Melissa Delport feelz to it – and the fact that Everything We Keep was a debut novel is mind-blowing! Amy – you NEED to read the sequel to Everything We Keep. It was better than the first – and my heart just crumbled at Carlos’ story…but it was perfection!

Carian Cole – Devils Wolves Series Reading Order

My fellow book buddies are going crazy over BOTH of these books released so far (book #2 was just released), and I must admit, both sound EXACTLY like the kind of unconventional, angsty love story that I crave…

MichelleS: Go check out the amazon blurb for Torn – by Carian Cole. It is a totally hot taboo book – he is falling for his best friend’s daughter (he is 32, she is 17) and he has known her since the day she was born. Like an uncle to her. I know, I know…. ICK… right? But it’s NOT. Totally swoony. I must be wacked, but I loved it. Her dad is in a rock band, and they have been best friends since they were 7. So good!!!

Jennifer: I just finished Tied by Carian Cole and I’m currently attempting to piece my shattered heart back together! This book was beyond phenomenal. I’m dying for you to read. I need to know how it affected you. I’ve read all of hers and she’s quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. UGH….so book hungover!
