<— BOOK FOG ALERT!!!! I just received the most amazing recommendation and had to post this awesome sounding duet!!
Michelle LOVED IT!
Hi, Maryse! 😊
I have been following your blook blog since I was in high school (so almost 10-ish years now), and there’s always a bit of nostalgia every time I check back in to see what reads you have to recommend.
There’s a bit of ebb and flow when it comes to making time for new reads. I finally picked up a book in what feels like forever, and my goodness, do I have a recommendation for you.
After reading so many series throughout the years, I’m sure that you can relate in that characters and plots can seem so monotonous — this is not that.
If you have the chance to check it out, I would strongly recommend reading the duet Haunting Adeline and Hunting Adeline. It is a bit on the darker side, but I believe it’s adds so much to character complexities and overall development. I haven’t read anything like this in a long time to where it’s put me in a book daze, haha.
Hopefully it’s something you enjoy as much as I did!
Stay warm!
Michelle
So what’s it about?
The Manipulator
I can manipulate the emotions of anyone who lets me.
I will make you hurt, make you cry, make you laugh and sigh.
But my words don’t affect him. Especially not when I plead for him to leave.
He’s always there, watching and waiting.
And I can never look away.
Not when I want him to come closer. The Shadow
I didn’t mean to fall in love.
But now that I have, I can’t stay away.
I’m mesmerized by her smile, by her eyes, and the way she moves.
The way she undresses…
I’ll keep watching and waiting. Until I can make her mine.
And once she is, I’ll never let her go.
Not even when she begs me to.While not required, it is highly suggested to read the novella, Satan’s Affair, first.
SERIES READING ORDER:
- Satan’s Affair
- Haunting Adeline (Cat and Mouse Duet Book 1)
- Hunting Adeline (Cat and Mouse Duet Book 2)
- Where’s Molly <— It is strongly recommended to read Haunting Adeline and Hunting Adeline before reading Where’s Molly.
SORT OF... A PREQUEL TO THE CAT & MOUSE DUET (READ THIS FIRST)
"...We travel the country, offering terrifying haunted houses, thrilling rides and the tastiest food. And with every passing town, I cleanse this world, one execution at a time. I hide within the walls, casting my judgement for those that reek of evil, singing lullabies to their rotting souls.
Once you've been chosen, there's no escaping my henchmen—they cater to my every desire. You can run and you can hide, but it only excites me..."
