Following my heart, one book at a time...
MichelleS: House of Earth and Blood (Crescent City Book 1) … Sarah J Maas is a favorite of mine. I love this new series as much as her others. She just really delivers for fans of fantasy.
Patricia: The House of Earth & Blood (Crescent City Series) by Sarah J. Maas. It’s an incredible book! I couldn’t put it down until 4:00 this morning! I’m on a reading streak…
This is an interesting reader question! Because, as far as I know, my Black Dagger Brotherhood Reading Order list is pretty exact, and quite intensive (having preorders as far as into 2023). Even spinoffs, and novellas all in the right spots.
That said… now I’m super curious as to an answer for Cheryl’s question.
Hello ~
I was checking this series out on goodreads as I’ve read most of them.
Goodreads said there was a related series the black brotherhood. When I checked it out it was in german. So I’m thinking no big deal.
Hunter is looking for this book! Oh I LOVE the sound of this one. Good vs. evil… and Archangel instructors… and magic donuts? YES PLEASE!! Since they’re magic, does that mean they taste like heaven but have no calories? I WANT IN!!!
She asks:
I’ve been trying to find a book that I read when I was young.. it’s about angels and demons. I don’t remember much, just my love for the book!
A girl works for the demon she sold her soul to.
There’s an angel city that her and her friend visit to get angel magic donuts. But the girl lives in the city of demons.
Ash needs our book help! OMG THIS BOOK SOUNDS INCREDIBLE and poignant and so unique and almost… healing you know? Oh my, I imagine reading going in blind, and taking my breath away with that ending! And even though I know the whole story now, I’d still want to read this.
BUT! I caution you to proceed slowly as there are spoilers (which I have alerted to below). 😉
She asks:
Hey Maryse,
I have been looking for the book for a long time but I am unable to find it could not find it. And from the last time when your blog helped me with finding a book, I think this will be the best option here. I remember the plot of the book but nothing else.
Katy just sent us this reader question! Ohhhh I’ve read quite a few like this but they were all YA, so I’m curious to know this one too!!
She asks:
I hope you can help.
I started a series probably 5 years ago. College campus boy meets girl .
Turns out they both are some sort of supernatural.. enemies. He was rich and knew… she had no idea she was something different.
I wish I could remember more.
Ria: Could it be the The Premonition Series by Amy A. Bartol?
Jan: The Magicians by Lev Grossman, maybe? It’s a few years since I read it and I can’t remember all the deets, but I know the lead characters were college age.
