Reader Question – The book about the abused wife whose high school sweetheart is now a PI…

By 3 Comments

Jodi needs our book help! I don’t have many private investigator and security hero books under my belt, but maybe you recognize this series?

She asks:

Hi

I was hoping if any of your readers can help me remember a series that was based on a private investigation series.

In the first book the main female character was beaten up by her husband and her friend came and got her, who was a sister from one of the PI group.

And it turned out to be the owner of the PI group was her childhood sweetheart and she thought he had died? read more

Blair Babylon – Runaway Princess: Flicka Series Reading Order

<— ROYAL LOVE ALERT!!!! And funny enough, I was just asked for this sort of book by TWO different fellow readers. One wanted a modern day princess/royal story (since Prince Harry & Megan Markle are getting married), and one reader wanted stories about falling in love with your bodyguard. THIS has ’em both!!! 😀

About book #1:

When a modern princess falls in love with her bodyguard, a man who is definitely not a prince, a royal fairy tale turns dangerous.

ONCE UPON A TIME, there was a beautiful princess. Flicka von Hannover lived an enchanted life. She jetted around Europe staging charity events with friends, had married a handsome prince in the most spectacular royal wedding of the 21st century, and should have lived happily ever after. read more

Welp. This reader question has sparked my interest BIG time in a HUGELY popular series that I’ve known about forever, even watched the movie, and yet… have yet to read the actual books. But from the reader answers (and their enthusiastic reactions about this series AND the guy), well… how can I not?!

So here is the question, and the Facebook crew jumped right in and saved the day!

Maryse’s Book Blog: Someone needs our book help!! And this one is TOTALLY ringing a bell for me (he lends/gives her one of his expensive cars and it gets damaged…) <— I KNOW I’ve read this one, and I loved it. What one is it? read more
