Following my heart, one book at a time...
Lisa: I just finished reading an ARC of Lords of Mercy, which is the third book in Angel Lawson and Samantha Rue‘s Dark RH romance series. This series is difficult to put down and is dark, twisty, and has all kinds of things that will keep you on your toes.
Heed the trigger warnings though, as these books can be rough on people.
Aimee is in the mood for this very specific trope and these darker themed books (also subbed “Dark Romance”) are a guilty pleasure for many. That whole “slow burn/is he redeemable?” is in full effect in these “love/hate” stories!
I’ve delved into a few dark romance books in my past and while they certainly captured my attention (for example, “Comfort Food” was my first and I was HOOKED), there were some anti-heroes that I just couldn’t connect with.
THE BAD BOY ANTIHERO ALERT!! The latest in the series (book #2) just went LIVE & OMG I absolutely LOVE this author’s biography “starter”:

HOLY MOLY she is loaded in angst (and Lana Del Rey is my favorite!! And I can only listen to so much of her at one sitting… before my mood follows hard). LOL!

The book I am looking for is a book where the main guy is rich and bullies the new girl. The new girl is poor and also has health problems that he finds out about later, she also had abusive traumatic past.

Long time follower of your blog, you have given me soooo many books to read over the past 6 years. I need your help finding a book that I’ve read before but I can’t remember the title or the author. It’s an enemies to lovers bully book.
I think they went to high school together, and her dad works as the groundskeeper at his parents home, which become his home when they die. She goes back to take care of her dad and become the groundskeeper after a fire happens. The bully also keeps his mom’s roses in his bedroom because he’s on house arrest.
