She writes rich characters & in this series, she gets to couple that with world building that mingles history with fantasy. Love love love Lauren Gilley.
Jan: I just read the new release Part 2 of Lauren Gilley’s Prodigal Son. It’s great, but so so suddenly got to the end :/ Part 3 (of 4) is “coming soon” 
Just wish it had all been released at once. Oh well. It’s still great. Love the Lean Dogs books
