WOWWWWW!!! *sniff sniff* sad That. Was. Beauuuuuuutiful. The book that gave me big fat ploppy tears that just ran down my cheeks randomly in a mix of sorrow, absolute grief, and pure sweet happiness! lol

Sherry: I’m only 13% in and I’ve choked up AND laughed my ass off ALL on the same page….this one is going to be rough… My God, how can a book have you crying at only 3% ???? But laughing at 7%

Book Review – Worth the Fall by Claudia Connor

Worth the Fall: The McKinney Brothers
I was soooo in the mood for a book like this. It was a total “new-to-me” surprise in a recent release list with a premise that had my heart, right from the start. I just knew this would be my next. And… it’s not because I read many “military” romance books (although I have no idea why, ’cause to me, these guys are the ultimate heroes while retaining their bad-ass alpha-ness). Perfect for me. Book Review – Rule by Jay Crownover

Rule: A Marked Men Novel
An oldie but definite goodie that’s been floating around on my TBR list for a year now, and I finally read it! What took me so long… eh… who knows? Maybe it’s the cover. He looks… young. And kind of like my cousin or something. 😉

But wow, once I got over that aspect (I just re-invented him in my head), it ended up being everything I look for in a “book bad-boy”. It had all of the right touches. Steamy, slightly angsty, infuriating (oh he can be bad!!) but he’s also protective and deliciously alpha. And believable. Mind you the parents of both main characters were a bit over-the-top, but I went with it, because it helped cinch other parts of the story and emotional connection. read more

Book Review – Louder Than Love by Jessica Topper

Louder Than Love
*sigh* I’m grinning ear to ear!! That was just one of the sweetest, most well-rounded books I’ve read in awhile.

Book Review – Connected by Kim Karr

Connected: The Connections Series, #1
I just finished this one and while I wasn’t all-out connected to it, there was a mysterious undertone that certainly kept me reading. I had suspicions, discussed it with my husband, and sure enough… Mr. “I can correctly guess the end of every movie” had this one right, too. P.S. After ruining a few too many for me (’cause he’s always been right) he’s now been officially spoiler-banned from me!

Recently frequently recommended with cliffhanger warnings (thanks guys!) I was still dying to know what happens in the end that made everyone freak out. Cliffhangers do not necessarily dissuade me from reading. In fact, if a book is really that good, I’m alright with an inconclusive, insane “to be continued” ending (especially if the next book will follow soon enough so I don’t lose that intense momentum) *hint hint* ;). Considering these readers reactions, I just had to know what this crazy ending would reveal (or not reveal). read more
