Reader Question – The book about the ex-military security guy that is looking for a kidnapped child…

By 4 Comments

Lynn’s looking for a group of ex-military heroes so she can read this one again!

She asks:

So glad i found you! I have been looking for a book I read awhile back. Maybe 3 years. Its an ex military group of men who started a security company. What i remember of the book is:

They have a headquarters in the mountains. One guy rents a house from a woman who works at her uncles office. She thinks he is a drug dealer because he pays in cash.

He is there to find a kidnapped child, who’s parents are actors. read more

Book Review – Killing the Sun Part 1 by Mara White & K. Larsen

Killing The Sun: Part 1 (COMING OUT ON TUESDAY!!!)
MAFIA ROMANCE (DARK ROMANCE?) LOVERS!!! Guess what? I went ahead and taste-tested the first part of a new serial (a little over 100 pages) coming out in just a few days. Three parts in all, each one super-bargain priced, and not much of a wait between each installment.

I enjoyed it! I experienced a touch of thrill, as I “lived in” a relationship with a potentially dangerous man (via the newly opened eyes of his girlfriend). Sure, it ends on somewhat of a cliffhanger, but it doesn’t have that killer-edge that serials like to torture us with, so I’m feeling… comfortable. While it wasn’t necessarily unputdownable, and the ending didn’t make my jaw drop, I was still intrigued by where it was going. It’s a quick read for a little psycho-thrill reading break. read more
