Amber had a reader question about a book series that had possibly been turned into a movie. And I was able to find it! 🙂
She asked:
I feel like I may be 3 years behind but I just watched Fallen on Netflix.
I pretty sure it’s based off of Lauren Kate’s Fallen series. Am I right?! Or crazy!
Either way I was excited to watch it!!
Whooooo that was a long, very exciting wait! Speculation ran wild for so many gorgeous actors that would have fit the Fifty Shades of Grey roles
perfectly, but the actors chosen for Christian and Ana have finally been announced! And the official word has come from the author herself!
E.L. James just tweeted:
E L James @E_L_James Good moaning all. Hold on to your hats…
E L James @E_L_James I am delighted to let you know that the lovely Dakota Johnson has agreed to be our Anastasia in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey.
Another one of my favorites from 2011 has just been optioned for a movie!!! Wooooo hoooo, just so exciting!!
Here is the news update from the author herself:
“I received some fantastic news yesterday and I’m beyond thrilled to announce that On the Island has been optioned for a feature film by MGM. I never thought I’d ever type those words.
I want to give my heartfelt thanks to my agent, Jane Dystel, of Dystel and Goderich Literary Management, and her co-agent in Hollywood, Steve Fisher, of the Agency for the Performing Arts, for making this happen. I couldn’t be in better hands.”
