Grey: It’s a *lot* different from Max Monroe’s signature rom-com dynamic, I can tell you that. I read Cold (book 2), as an ARC. Well, I read Stone too, but then Cold as an advanced copy. You definitely need to read the series in order. It is not a standalone type where you could pick up in the middle. It engages the angsty feels in a dual POV back and forth. Oh and small spoiler alert… Major cliffy at the end…
Ohhhh my gooooodness I LOVED it!!! Yet another sticky-sweet but in all my favorite flavors, Tessa Bailey super-steamy romance. Yes. 😉 That’s hard to say but so fun to read!!!!!! I’m absolutely hooked on her cop stories, and this one was no exception.
What’s fun about this series is it’s cops-in-training. They’re still trying to gain respect and make it through to hero-status, but despite having hearts of gold, they are overcoming their own personal plights. And Jack’s is pretty hardcore. In fact, he’s not sure he wants to become a cop at all, but his two very best friends are in the academy, and so is he.
<— Want a goooooood time? READ THIS!!!! Tee hee!!! *blush* DO NOT judge a book but its cover. Or maybe… DO. 😉 Ahhhhh it’s hard to explain my love-hate relationship for this book cover but it’s kind of perfect, anyway. I LOVED this book like crazy, and now that I’ve gotten used to this cover, it fits in its own hilarious-sexy way.
Maryse: I’m actually reading Disorderly Conduct by Tessa Bailey (the one with the stripper-cop cover that made me smirk… or maybe that was a frown… maybe a bit of an eyebrow waggle too )… might have even turned me off the book, but I had it and I was in the mood for a good hot-cop story, and OMG this book is SO MUCH better than the cover.
Tabathia is looking for this one! Sounds like a romance thriller (with a side of unrequited love and kidnapping too!). There are plenty of details (and spoilers), but I alerted before ’em, so proceed with caution. 😉
Maryse, I need help finding a book that I probably read over 10 years or more ago. I have been an avid reader for over 34 years. So I have always read different genres of romance, mystery/thriller books.
The book I am looking for is about a h who is law enforcement and the H moves to her town (I think) and he is law enforcement also (but maybe a different branch). There are women being abducted, raped and tortured.
Disorderly Conduct: The Academy
<— Okay… first. Let’s talk about the most obvious thing, one that will either sell this book, or completely turn some of us off, without even looking at the blurb. Yep. That cover. *giggle* Okay… okayyyyyyyy. I know what you’re thinking.
Right? *ahem* Stripper cop??? Seriously?
I can promise you, my friends, no. THIS BOOK WAS SO FUN and I’m so attached to these characters, I’m going to tell you right now, YES I judged this book by its cover, and NO it wasn’t in a good way, and yet, in the end?
